I visited Verdmont Museum a couple of weeks ago as part of a group event and honestly it was one of the most beautiful and inspiring experiences I’ve had on the island. The house is full of history and charm, with rooms that feel almost untouched by time, filled with old furniture, portraits, porcelain and little things that give you a real glimpse into life in Bermuda centuries ago. Our guide (I wish I remembered her name!) was so passionate and knowledgeable, you could tell she truly loved what she was doing and loved Bermuda too, and it made the whole visit feel even more special. I really enjoyed it and would love to come back again on my own, just to slowly go through every room and read all the stories and details properly. The views from the property are amazing too, and the whole atmosphere just makes you pause and take it all in. I can highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the island, it’s a real gem if you want to connect with Bermuda’s past and understand more about its culture and heritage.

We were just three locals wanting to learn more about our Bermuda and it's past. We had a lovely visit. The walls are "dripping with history" and you get a great sense of the views of the sea where the masters could keep an eye on their ships coming in. I recommend a visit of this iconic National Trust Property.

Thanks to Bermuda for preserving this magnificent property. We made it part of our custom tour, because it was was one of the many places in Bermuda where Mark Twain was a frequent guest. The woman who greeted us and took the nominal entrance fee was pleasant, knowlegeable and enthusiastic. The grounds outback are magnificent.

This historic home is is full of Bermuda antiques and period decorative arts in room settings. The volunteers give you a friendly welcome and an introduction on how to best go on your own from room to room. Detailed information about pieces is available in each room. There are three levels. Be sure to stroll around the gardens to appreciate beautiful views of Bermuda.
