Wow, I'm honored to be the first to give this place a review. Well for anyone who loves Super King Market, you will also love this place. Yes it is smaller and unfortunatelly does not have a butcher. Just deli and produce. But it's as close to europe as you are going to get around here. It is truly family run, on occasion you can walk right into a colorful family fight, usually resulting in some foreign cursing and door slamming. Ahhhh feels like home. The feeling of this place is definatelly more charming the Super King, being small and all. There is a hevenly smell of coffee and almonds, they are really into their fresh almonds, and their candy bin is really cool and oldfashion looking. I always have to try a different one when I go there. Their produce is great, they always have the standard stuff in the back, fruits veggies ect. but in the front they will always display something temporary and seasonal, usually locally grown. Last time it was fresh hazelnuts, still with skin and leaves on them, and the time before that it was fresh gooseberries, the owner brought from home, only a one time thing. So cool.
On a whole, it's basically the same stuff as Super King, but less congested and possibly closer to whoever lives in the highland park/eagle rock area.
