Spectacular honeymoon stay - everything was special from the views, staff, food, pool. Barely needed a car as so many places were walkable from the hotel Eleftheria made all of our days brighter with her positive energy. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay better - including ensuring meals were safe for my celiac disease. Thank you George, Irene and all!

Verina Astra is a magical retreat — tranquil, beautifully designed, and with views that truly take your breath away. Our room had a private terrace with sweeping sea views, and the infinity pool overlooking the horizon was unforgettable. It was absolutely worth waking up early each morning to catch the most stunning sunrise. The decor blends minimalist Cycladic charm with natural materials in a calming, elegant way. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — special thanks to Anna Maria, whose thoughtful recommendations and kindness made our stay truly special. The food at the Bostani restaurant was fresh, inventive, and absolutely delicious. We looked forward to a delicious breakfast each morning. The location feels wonderfully secluded, yet you’re just a short walk or drive from Artemonas, nearby villages and beaches. We loved being able to walk out our door each morning for a walk down the hill towards the sea. Sifnos was our favorite island out of the five we visited — made even more so by our stay at Verina Astra. A perfect escape if you’re looking for peace, beauty, and excellent service!

Wow! Beautiful location, fantastic staff and amazing food. The area is breathtaking and relaxing. Almost unimaginable! I would've been so happy to stay longer if it weren't so expensive. Spa treatments were also superior!

An absolutely stunning place, not only because of the view and the outstanding rooms, especially also because of the staff and the people. They are super friendly, really kind and always assist you in any way. We spent there a part of our honeymoon and would do it again - its a unique place, you are off the grid and can really enjoy the calm and beautiful scenery.

What is there that can be written about so wonderful an escape? My wife and I spent our seven-day honeymoon at Verina Astra in mid-June of 2025, and we could not have selected a more fabulous resort. TLDR: Verina Astra is a special place. Rooms are lovely. Views are great. Location is the right balance between remote and connected. Food stands out. The staff shine. We were perched atop the resort in the Perseus room which, although one of the two smaller rooms at the hotel, served as a wonderful refuge on our trip to Sifnos. The room was well-appointed, quite, and cozy: exactly the sort of place you want to collapse into after a long day in the sun. But the real boon of the Perseus was the spaceous terrace that, in the day, looked out over sky, sea, cliffs, and islands while providing a spectacular view of the stars at night. A bit more protected from the wind than some other parts of Verina Astra, it was also a good spot for a read, a cocktail (which can be ordered to the room), or a game of cards. The resort itself is in a location as beautiful as the pictures suggest. It slopes down toward the sea on Sifnos’s Eastern edge. That said, while the area immediately around Verina Astra is suitably remote, it is not inaccessible. By car, it is no more than ten minutes from the Artemon/Apollonia area. It is also possible to reach Artemon/Apollonia and Kastro from the resort via the Sifnian goat paths which intersect just beyond the grounds. So, the choice is really yours whether to explore the island or stay put and lay out like a lizard by the pool. The real stars at Verina Astra, however, are the food, the spa, and the staff. The former is easy enough to praise. Everything my wife and I ate at Verina Astra, from the included breakfast to the tasting menu at the Bostani restaurant was delicious. The two kitchens – the hotel’s own restaurant offered meals that transformed typical Sifnian cuisine into dishes that felt heightened but not pretentious. The Bostani, meanwhile, was gastronomy at its best. We definitely recommend a reservation there to anyone staying at Verina Astra. My wife and I were lucky enough to have two treatments at the Bostani Spa during our stay. Located between the hotel and the Bostani Restaurant, a trip to the Spa is worth it for the view alone. That said, the Spa’s staff were experts in technique and hospitality. We left both sessions in a golden haze of relaxation. Lastly, Verina Astra’s staff are a wonderful bunch. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I not only felt taken care of, but actually welcomed, as though the staff themselves were sharing the resort with us. The service they provided was excellent, of course. It was a pleasure to see them so thoughtfully preempt the spoken and unspoken desires of us guests so flawlessly. Moreover, any time the slightest inconvenience did arise, swift action was taken to *really* make it right. But it is not just the service that stands out. It is the friendliness, too. Everyone that we encountered at Verina Astra was warm, open, and ready to connect, if the guests so desired, that is. Indeed, by the end of our stay, we felt like we’d made connections that could last a lifetime (shout out to you Anna Maria and Evelina!). All in all, Verina Astra is one of those places that is as special as you hope it might be.

Our stay at Verina Astra was simply divine. It is possibly one of the most tranquil places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The peacefulness that surrounds this mountaintop hotel brought an immediate sense of awe and calm upon arriving. And going in May was lovely with all the wildflowers! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at reception and treated to delicious welcome drinks as we took in the absolutely breathtaking view from the pool area. That view is immaculate. It makes you feel like you are gazing out into the abyss. Our room, Pegasus was perfect! I love how each room is named uniquely and ours had such a lovely outdoor area. Throughout our stay, we were consistently touched by the genuine warmth and kindness of every staff member. Their authenticity radiated through our interactions and made our time here truly special. . Each morning began with a lovely complimentary breakfast that set a refreshing tone for our day. I loved the fresh juice and the flexible of options to choose from. Our room was kept spotless, and our belongings were always handled with care by the cleaning staff. The reception team was incredibly helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations and assisting us even days before our arrival! One of my favorite things they helped me schedule was a local pottery experience — which I highly recommend booking! We also booked appointments at the Bostani Spa which was absolutely amazing and what another beautiful space. We chose the scalp massages, and they were the perfect way to end our stay. Overall, Verina Astra highly is one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed at. And I could not recommend it enough! Every detail was carefully curated to offer a peaceful, rejuvenating experience which we deeply felt. Thank you to the entire Verina team for making our time so special in Sifnos!

Where do I begin, just so perfect for a few days of complete chill, and those views. We had the best time. Breakfast, service, and reception staff were all so welcoming, and we really enjoyed chatting with them. If I had just a little thing to complain about, it would be more sun shade by the pool, but still so perfect. We definitely go back.

Just stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The staff are so friendly, the rooms & pool area are all so tranquil. We did not get to experience the spa as it was all booked but would love to return. The breakfast is nice as well..
