Veronika's Pastry Shop

I love a good pastry and based on other reviews I knew I had to come here while visiting Billings. Veronika’s did not disappoint. Veronika herself was very nice and welcoming, explaining all the different pastries to me. As for the pastries, we bought five different kinds- raspberry pinwheel, pumpkin, chocolate croissant, apple strudel, and the plain “fancy croissant” is what she called it I think. All very good, perfectly flaky and light. I think my favorite was the plain fancy croissant. My husband’s favorite was the raspberry pinwheel. Didn’t take any pictures because we gobbled them up so fast 😁

Incredible old world pastry shop! Veronika herself is such a delight and a talented one-woman bakery. Go as early as possible so you don't miss the raspberry pinwheels, almond and chocolate croissants, and if you're extremely lucky the lemon tarts.

This cute little shop brings you in with the aroma of deliciousness. And you know it's good when at 9 a.m. she is almost sold out. The chocolate and almond crossaints are flaky, buttery and mouthwatering. Decadent can be used to describe these amazing treats. The shop owner was super sweet and welcoming. Cash is preferred, but card is accepted. This is a MUST visit if you are looking for the real deal in bakery items.

Wow. This is a must. Absolutely delightful. Take note- I visited at 9:00am on a Thursday morning and she was almost completely sold out. What she had left was remarkable. The almond croissant was buttery flaky heaven with a hint of almond in the center. The Danishes were even better. Everything simply made and beautifully presented. This gem of a European treasure in downtown Billings should not be missed. Go early. Go often.

Best pastries in town! I love the true European style pastries with the lovely texture and wonderful flavor! Worth every penny! Go early because she sells out often by 11 am!

The energy in this little shop is warm and uplifting. Everyone goes from frowning about being in a long line, to smiling as the leave with wares in hand. Amazing pastries.

I worked in a French bakery and pastry shop, so I'm a tough critic when it comes to baked goods. When I took my first bite of a chocolate croissant from Veronika's... wow. The crust was perfectly browned--crunchy and firm but not tough--with those familiar delicate layers inside, with just the right amount of chocolate. It's been years since I've had a croissant like that; it brought back memories. It's as if this pastry shop fell straight from heaven onto Montana Ave!

This is a destination spot every time im in Billings, it runs like a real bakery so I recommend coming early for the best variety cause when somethings gone it's gone. The pastries are literally a transcendent experience and will make your day better. !

Best pastry/danish I have had since visiting Leavenworth, WA as a child. When you walk in you can immediately smell the freshness and start drooling. Highly recommend getting there when she opens because once she is sold out (and she will sell out) then she is closed for the day! Will definitely be back here again on my next Billings trip!

Superb European bakery. The chocolate croissant was delicious. The lemon tart was so creamy and tasty. Ricotta pie with berries, yummy.

The most exquisitely delicious pastries in Billings! You need to be on your game & be there at 8 a m. When she opens If you want any pastries, when she is sold out, it is done for the day. M-F takeout only. My family & I adore her baking & She is as sweet as the treats she makes!

These pastries aren't cheap but you get what you pay for and that's quality. The baskets are not stacked to the ceiling with cheap bread but only a few pastries are available like fine jewelry in a store. We picked out two pastries and they were delicious and it was love at first bite.

Oh my heck these pastries at Veronika's Pastry Shop in downtown Billings, MT, are to die for and the owner is a doll! So lucky we happened upon her shop! Fresh, crisp, tart, and tasty! Stop in, you will not be disappointed. She makes the ingredients and the pastries fresh each day!

Oh my goodness we stopped to get a pastry. We left the store with a chocolate croissant, apricot/ cream cheese pastry and a cherry croissant. I had to go back to get another cherry croissant after we took a taste down the street, I told Nichole Nava I am going back for another one she laughed at me and so did the owner after I told her I needed another one after my wife was eating all of mine( she wasn't I just wanted another one because they were so delicious I needed another one for later ) I gave Nichole a few bites so she agreed to let me go get another one. Excellent tasting pastries. Very friendly owner.

Oh my! It's a good thing I only visit here quarterly. Otherwise, I'd be a regular here and probably gain 100 lbs. I had croissants, including pain a chocolate, and apple puff, and a cinnamon roll looking pastry with raisins and creme. I could go on about the flakiness of the pastries. Even the croissants, where my expectation have diminished ever since Starbucks started carrying what passes for croissants, were flaky and golden. Just goodness. all the way around. The apple crisp was amazing. The filling wasn't mushy or overly sweet but complemented the flaky pastry oh so beautifully. Surprisingly, the cinnamon roll looking pastry with raisins and creme was hands down my favorite. Hints of rum permeated every flake of the dough, the cream was silky and not too sweet, the raisins were little gems of fruit in the dough. MMMmmmm. I am trying to think of other errands I need to do in that area so I can go get some more pastries.

Veronika is a very pleasant person and makes the best pastries ever. I highly recommend this place.

Veronica's offers an amazing selection of European pastries. We always stop here when we are in town. Our favorites are the chocolate croissant and pear goat cheese pastry. Incredibly flaky and baked fresh every day. Make sure to get there early as they are popular! Don't miss this place.

This is by far the best pastry I have ever had and that is after living in Europe for 5 years. This is not a sit-down location and you may need to stand in line, but it is worth it. Get there early to get your pick! Billings is blessed to have this place. I may live in NY but I still can't find anything that beats Veronika's!

Amazing find in Billings, MT! So glad we didn't settle for Starbucks. We dragged our kids out of bed the next morning to go back, it's that good.

OH! MY! GOODNESS! First of all, I can not believe there are not more reviews! This place is incredible! Veronika is such a wonderfully pleasant lady and her pastries are fantastic! The smell in her little shop is drool-worthy! It doesn't smell like the typical smelling bakery that pulls there stock from the freezer, tosses them in the oven to cook and calls it a pastry. Nope! This is the real deal! Made from scratch, the traditional, old-world way. Not overly sweet, not chewy and doughy. Just perfectly flavored, perfectly textured, perfectly flaky, perfectly delicious, and well-priced! Our family loves our trips to Veronika's and have taken to making it a weekly visit. I would love to see (taste) what she can do with an éclair! Please Veronkia, make some éclairs for us!

She makes her dough from SCRATCH! I had a pear marzipan in her flaky buttery dough that was amaze balls. She closes once she is sold out for the day, but I was there at 11 and there were still plenty of choices. I would steer you toward the pain a chocolat or other magical flaky nugs without the gooey fruit fillings.

After taking my first bite, I looked at my wife and said, "She's an artist!" I am a grumpy critical person, but I love great pastries. Veronika makes great pastries. She is an artist.

Only been here once because unfortunately I tend to drive by after they've closed for the day. The one time I made it when they were open I bought one of everything, just to try, and it was all delicious! I lived in Europe for 10 years and severely miss European pastries, and this place definitely reminds me of what I ate on my trip to Ukraine.

Veronika's has delicious pastries! I have not tried anything I have not liked. If you don't believe me look at the line usually out the door when she opens the shop.

Veronica's pastries are simply the best that I have ever had. Veronica herself is a ray of sunshine. Every time I leave her shop, the day is better than when I went in.

This patisserie is a treat! if they could bottle the smell when you come into this shop, you could make a fortune!All of the pastries are delicious, but I love the queen the best. The owners are very friendly and they make the experience great. My only downer is the cost. I took a half dozen down to the office, and it set me back $21!, that's a ton more than a donut run. still they seem worth it as I keep going back. The raisen snail is as good as You find in Paris. Get there early to get the best selection.

We're almost here weekly, they are the sweetest people that make the most delectable pastries! So happy they've opened this quaint little shop of wonders!

what a delightful find in Billings! loved the Eastern European treats - the sweet bread reminded me so much of my Ukrainian summer camp buns we would have with a cold glass of milk as an afternoon snack. if I am ever back in the area, I will definitely be returning!

Hands down the best pastries I've ever had. They do not make pastries like this anywhere else. Veronika learned from her grandmother and has lived abroad most of her life. It is obvious she knows what she is doing. We have to limit ourselves to one or two visits a week. SO HARD!

Veronika helped me select a variety of pastries for our family to share after supper. I wish I had found this shop earlier. We are certain to be repeat customers.
