Incredible hotel with a story. Unique from other boutiques, exclusive feeling. Infinity pool and rooftop bar for guests, both have incredible views. Parts of the original mansion are part of the hotel layout. Rooms are spacious, with great attention to detail (Aesop soap products are a nice touch). It is clear the owner is passionate about a shared experience with this space, a place to recharge and enjoy Lisbon right in the heart of the city.

I stayed overnight on a Hilton Free Nights Award and there is little doubt in my mind that this was the best hotel stay I have ever had. I didn't want to leave the hotel for a minute.||When we arrived, we received a tour of the premises, including the rooftop bar, the outdoor pool and the beautiful common areas. When we got to our room, we were knocked out by the view, the bed, and the complimentary baked goods, champagne and beverages. ||We were also told that we were entitled to a complimentary 15 minute massage, which my wife and I had scheduled for later that afternoon. I immediately said to my wife "this might be the best place I've ever stayed out" and she corrected me, saying "it definitely is."||The massage was unbelievably good. My wife paid to extend it and received a very, very good massage for way less than it should have cost. While she was gone, the hotel sent a small birthday cake to our room (quick note: make sure to complete the ore-arrival questionnaire the hotel sends a day or two before arrival to inform it of any special occasions worth celebrating). I also toured the rooftop bar and saw a great view of the city from the 2nd highest vantage point in the city.||We spent an hour at the rooftop pool, which was small but luxurious. ||The hotel's main restaurant was closed the night we visited, but the hotel's secondary restaurant was open and delicious. ||We slept very, very well on a large bed that may have been king-sized plus.||The next morning we were treated to a five-course breakfast which included fresh-squeezed juice, cappuccino, charcuterie, breakfast breads, yogurt with fruit, an egg dish and a dessert pancake. Again, everything was excellent!||I have read some of the more tepid reviews and cannot stress enough that our experience was amazing. Maybe your mileage may vary, and maybe some of your experience depends on your room (ours was 6.2 and is highly recommended), but I cannot imagine a better hotel stay!

A Truly Royal Experience in the Heart of Lisbon We had the most wonderful stay at this palace hotel during our time in Lisbon. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly cared for. The location is ideal—peacefully tucked away for privacy, yet within easy reach of Lisbon’s most iconic sights. Our room was everything we could have hoped for: sweet, spotlessly clean, spacious, and equipped with thoughtful amenities. The hotel went above and beyond to make our family feel at home, spoiling us with delicious desserts and special bites just for the kids—such a kind and memorable touch. The rooftop is a highlight in itself, offering absolutely breathtaking views over the city. We spent time up there each day soaking in the beauty of Lisbon from above. We also booked our city tours through the hotel’s recommended vendors and couldn’t have been happier. The tour guides were knowledgeable, personable, and made our sightseeing experience even more enjoyable. Each morning, we looked forward to breakfast—it was both beautiful and delicious. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail, especially the elegant local Vista Alegre serveware that added an extra layer of charm and authenticity. Above all, the service was outstanding: warm, personal, and genuinely caring. Every team member we encountered made us feel welcome and valued. Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. The room had stunning views over Lisbon. The hotel itself has been beautifully renovated, restoring its style. What’s stands out though is all the little extra personal touches and extras that we didn’t expect. A very memorable stay.

Extraordinary experience at the Verride Palacio Santa Catarina! |We stay in many hotels per year, including some five star rated ones, and this stay was the best of our lives. |The elegant room was impeccably clean, quiet and comfortable with a stunning view from the balcony. |Our massage therapist, Annabella, gave us each the best message we have ever had. |We had dinner at the hotel’s Lisbon Club 55, which was the best Portuguese food we have had. |Miguel greeted us and gave a helpful and informative tour of the Palacio, which is uniquely and beautifully decorated with both modern and classic art. |The five course breakfast on the deck was exquisite. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we definitely plan to return to Lisbon just to stay here again! |Thanks to all the excellent staff who made our stay so memorable!

Staying here was an utter delight. Everyone at this former palace welcomes you into their kingdom where you feel indulged like former courtesans. Perfectly positioned, the ambience is superb, the food is sublime and the friendliness of all the staff is so welcoming. Our top tip is to indulge in booking a treatment as the therapists are true, true healers with magic in their hands. My husband walked in barely able to stand straight or walk without a limp and yet he came out like a new man and pain free|We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Really great experience staying here. Staff were so attentive and assisted me whenever I needed it. The rooftop area has a gorgeous view, and the yellow room is a tranquil place to also work/read.I've been to over 40 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels - Verride is def in my top ten global and I will be staying here again in the future.

Incredible boutique feel but luxury everywhere. Location is perfect. Breakfast (4 course) is the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Staff all friendly and helpful. Well worth the price, will go again!

the best of the best. Everyone was so warm & welcoming. The rooms were luxurious & the bed was so very comfortable & the sheets so soft! The food was fresh, elegantly presented & soooo delicious! Views, massive fresh flower, incredible staff.... you won us over. Until next time!!

The hotel is located in an automotive restricted area. If you drive, obtain access information from the front desk. This caused a little confused which had me driving around Bairro Alto, looking for an access point. Cannot put in words how satisfied I am with the hotel and staff. After two weeks of holiday around Iberia Lisboa marked the end of my trip. The hotel is an oasis in the chaos of Bairro Alto. The restaurant and rooftop bar are great for small groups of friends. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly. I rank the professionalism and service of Verride Palácio compariable to any exclusive hotel in the world.
