Versante

This was the woodside inn years ago where we would visit weekly. It has been transformed into a beautiful spacious upscale restaurant. We loved everything about it. Our waiter, Jamie, was terrific and made some great suggestions. We had filet carpaccio, roasted peppers and bruschetta for appetizers. And, of course some nice wine from their extensive list. The entrees were shrimp fradiavolo, sweet pea ravioli and chicken parm. All were cooked to perfection and delicious. Im not a big desert person but just had to try the lemon cake and cannoli which were delicious. We will be back soon. Lorenzo approved!

My husband and I took my MIL to lunch here the other day on the recommendation from one of her friends and we were not disappointed. The bread they brought to start along with red sauce to dip in was so good, the perfect start to the meal. Then, I ordered the seafood pappardelle, my husband ordered the pappardelle bolognese, and my mother in law ordered the sweet pea ravioli. It was all delicious and both my husband and mother in law finished theirs. I would have finished mine, it was so good, but it was just too much food, so I’m lucky enough to get another meal out of mine. We definitely want to go back for dinner some time to try more of their delicious food!

My biggest regret about our visit here is that it wasn't sooner. We've truly been missing out on some delightful food. I have yet to pass this place during business hours and not see them packed. Last night we had reservations at Versante for two for our anniversary. Jamie and Anna were our servers, and they were so friendly. They listened to our questions and made (excellent) suggestions. Initially, it took a little longer than expected for them to greet us, but it was a fairly busy Saturday night and that's to be expected. Not a dig, but be prepared to wait if needed... I promise you, it's worth it. We started with the tuna tartare, burrata salad and arugula salad. The tuna tasted fresh and the mango it was paired with was so refreshing. The burrata, prosciutto and red peppers was another great pairing- simple, clean, fresh and balanced with some arugula and olives. The arugula salad with orange vinaigrette made for a lovely palate cleanser between rich courses. My better half had the seafood pasta special and it looked incredible- homemade pasta with Chilean sea bass, scallops, shrimp in a lobster sauce... he looked like he was in heaven while he was enjoying that dish. I had the pappardelle bolognese, thinking it's a very simple dish... and while yes, it was simple, it was still outstanding and flavorful. You can tell a lot of thought (and love) went into these meals. Then there was dessert.... homemade cheesecake with a raspberry sauce, and homemade chocolate mousse cake. Both of them would be worth a trip back for on a whim.

1st time here. My friend recommended it because I never knew this place was here. We had a wonderful time. We started with bread and a tomato pesto. Then when the server went over the specials we decided to get the same dinner which was a seafood pasta with fish, shrimp and crab meat with a cream sauce that had a little brandy. It was delicious. We ended the meal by sharing a creme brulee. 🤤

Absolutely fabulous! My family and I had dinner here to celebrate the holidays and everything we had was wonderful! I tried the pear martini, which was great and I had the penne vodka. I finished the whole pasta dish, it was so good! Their bruschetta is also a great choice for a starter. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out with great food and a relaxed atmosphere.

My family went here for my birthday this past weekend, and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is lovely, and the food is absolutely delicious. I had a seafood special with homemade pasta and a brandy cream sauce—it was to die for! We’ve been here several times and will definitely continue to come back.

The vibe, food, and service were all excellent. I really enjoyed the grilled octopus—it was cooked perfectly, so tender and delicious. I ordered the pasta special, which was packed with clams, scallops, and sea bass. The dish was light yet generous in portion. Servers were very friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back for more.

The food was okay but nothing to rave about. The lobster bisque was very watery and didn’t have any actual seafood, though the steak was great. The vodka pasta was just alright. They forgot our appetizers and told us dessert would be on them, but after paying we realized it was never taken off the bill, so we ended up paying for it anyway.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with a dear friend--we were seated at a tall table in the area just beyond the bar which is secluded and offered a nice view. I had the salmon w/crispy prosciutto sandwich which they plated sans bread to accommodate my gluten allergy. My friend got the chicken parm sandwich and I can highly recommend both. The tiramisu and creme brûlée are both made in house and were delicious. Our server was first class--equal parts friendly and attentive. And, last but certainly not least--one of the *best* espresso martinis can be found here. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch and/or dinner.

The waiter was great! He was quick to tell us the specials of the day and three of the four of us got it. It was a steak with sliced potatoes and zucchini, they all Loved it as well. I opted for the Chicken Parm over angel hair pasta which was absolutely delicious and even had enough for lunch the next day. Oh and for our appetizers we had oysters, cocktail shrimp which were huge and the calamari. It was the perfect place for my Birthday! We MOST DEFINITELY WILL BE GOING BACK SOON! Outstanding service and food a beautiful cozy restaurant !! My husband and I had an Old Fashion drink and it was Delicious we had Oysters , he had the house special pork chop dinner and I had their seafood special over pasta.. we can't wait to go back

Delicious food balanced cocktails. Good draft beer menu. Amazing food and service. Highly recommend. Our waitress, Lola, and the bus person (didn't catch her name) were amazing. One of our go-to for great Italian dishes, superb service and cocktails atmosphere can be accommodating from large loud room to quieter rooms at the Schwenksville location.

Kendra, Ama and staff did an amazing job with a bridal shower hosting 55 guest. They were very attentive to our guests throughout our time spent together. The food was so fresh and delicious. Many compliments were given on the chicken parm and piccata. We had more than enough food to serve everyone with food to take home as well. The ambience of restaurant along with shower decor looked phenomenal! Strongly would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion! The staff is awesome Thank you for a job well done!

First visit last night. Reservation for 6:30 thru Yelp. Arrived at 6 and was surprised to see valet parking only. Fancy. Luckily, the place is huge and we were able to be sat right away despite being early. We opted to sit out on the covered outside space around the perimeter of the restaurant. It wasn't as fancy as the interior but a gorgeous day to enjoy some fresh air. Water glasses filled right away and throughout the meal. Our server was very nice. Many specials covering seafood, vegetarian, meat lovers. Huge bar so many cocktail options. Loved the pineapple jalapeño margarita. Ordered the octopus and bruschetta with whipped ricotta. Bruschetta was a huge win with hot honey drizzle. The octopus was cooked perfectly but zero grilled flavor. Served with garbanzo beans a nice touch. Shrimp Fra Diavolo for my meal and my wife enjoyed the sweet pea ravioli with mushrooms. Both good portions without going overboard. Pricing very reasonable. $140 before tip. A great place to dine. We will check out the inside space on our next visit.

The best part of the meal was the homemade bread a tomato dipping sauce they serve to everyone at the beginning of the meal. All of the staff were very pleasant. I had pasta carbonara that was creamy and just ok. The entire restaurant was refurbished and looks great.

Just had a wonderful experience at Versante. Had a 6:30 reservation and were seated immediately. Waitress arrived within minutes to take our drink order and provide menus and fresh baked bread with olive oil. Drinks arrived quickly. Pricing is extremely reasonable especially considering today's overpriced restaurants. Marisa, our waitress was extremely personable and attentive. It seems that the entire staff works together for the good of all.. We asked many questions about the menu and all were answered quickly. The food was extraordinary. We've lived in the area for over 60 years. Remember it as Woodside Inn. So glad that it's a fine restaurant again. Make sure to try the dessert's! Sue, Fred and Mike

This was our second visit and we remain impressed. The menu is varied and well organized. For a Tuesday evening the specials were excellent. The signature cocktails are all interesting. The meals were well prepared, and proportioned. The staff was attentive. Versante is a find and in our rotation.

Everything was fantastic! We were there Sat, Feb 7. The food was amazing, our server was personable and 100% on the ball and I know he had a huge table in addition to ours and a few others - even the valet was super attentive and gave me a short history on the property (the old Woodside Inn) We will be back very soon!!

I like to try new places outside of my comfort zone versantes provided that It's a lovely place and the food was fantastic and the service was excellent.

Great Food. Relaxing atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive but didn't over do it. Dessert was delicious.

We were there for our wedding anniversary. Very busy on a Saturday night but service was still adequate. Portions are large so be prepared to take some home. The restaurant is very nice and offers porch dining when the weather is nice.

This is the best authentic Italian cuisine in the area! Mauricio makes the best dishes and we plan on returning frequently because it is very affordable. The inside of the restaurant is adorable and very well decorated. We had great service both times we went and HIGHLY recommend Versante to everybody!!!

It is a shame that the food, though not classic Italian, is very good. The Branzino was one of the best presentations of this dish in the US that I experienced Also the pork shank was excellent even with the gravy risotto. So why not 5 stars? ....... The service is not reflective of the food quality. A young staff, who were not properly trained, were energetic but clueless. They couldn't answer questions (IE is the carbonara made with cream?) on the menu and when the food was served ( by the busboy?) there was the annoying food auction and staggered delivery. Also they began clearing plates even though 2 guests were still eating. I guess the owners are not Italian as the dessert menu had cannoli (plural) rather than cannolo ( singular) . Too bad the food is excellent.....

I'd been hearing a lot about this place, so I was looking forward to trying it. I came away a little disappointed. It's a very pretty restaurant, with lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed the wall with many clocks. We sat right next to the fireplace, which puts our lots of heat. We came in for a very late lunch/early dinner Portions are very large, as we learned, so we definitely over ordered. I started with the arugula salad, and I would have been fine with that alone. The dressing was not my favorite, as I was surprised it was thick and creamy. I expected something lighter. My friend had a large bowl of soup that was thick and filling, so she took almost her entire entree home for later, as she chose chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, which is a heavy meal. I love whole fish, so opted for the whole bronzino. The menu said they filet it for you but I prefer to do that myself. Bronzino is one of my favorite types of fish. It was good, though not great. It needed seasoning and the skin wasn't crispy. The thing I liked best was the side dish of cannellini beans. It had tomatoes and olives as well, and again was a huge portion. I had to take most of it home, but it was really yummy! I was too full for anything more. That was a heavy meal, and I'm not used to eating so heavy during the day.

We went here to celebrate a family members anniversary. Everything was delicious and the service was perfect! I have allergies to certain foods and they made me something off the menu that excluded foods I can't eat and it was delicious! We'll definitely go back!

Absolutely horrible service! We were there for 2 hours and was not given our food! They forgot to enter our order and blamed us for impatience because we needed to leave to go to Christmas mass. The customer service was very poor. Several tables that arrived after us were served prior to us. I wish they were honest with us instead of forgetting us.

Food is incredible! Everything on the menu is delicious and inventive! My absolute favorite is the eggplant rollitini appetizer! Service is also great!

Came here for a last-minute Galentine's dinner. Their day-of availability on Valentine's Day had me wary initially. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive and provided something close to white-glove service. The drinks were on point, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The calamari was cooked and seasoned just right. It's also a very large space.

My wife were out in the Schwenksville area and I was looking for a nearby restaurant for dinner on Easter Sunday and much to my surprise, I saw a 4.5 rated Italian Restaurant and we were both excited to try Versante. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated promptly by a very nice hostess. Our waitress brought out some bread and a marinara bruschetta which was nice. We both ordered our go to beverages (Iced Tea). Our waitress strongly recommended the Ceasar Salad with homemade dressing. The dressing was bland and when the salad was bought out, there was no offer of freshly graded Parmesan or Ground Pepper as is the norm at an expensive restaurant. I had to request this from our waitress. For our entrees, I ordered the highly recommended Gemelli Carbonara which according to Yelp Reviews was brought out to the table in a Mason Jar and plated at the table. Mine arrived with the Pasta undercooked and a tasteless sauce. My wife ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Risotto which was served with a Brandy Lobster Reduction. Once again the sauce was bland and had no Brandy flavor at all. In addition, our Iced Tea Glasses sat empty for about 15 minutes and when our pasta was served, there was no offer of Freshly Grated Cheese or Pepper as is traditional at any Italian Restaurant, even Olive Garden. So I am being generous in giving Versante 3 Stars. Ambience is the best. thing about this restaurant.

A beautiful restaurant. My brother & a friend had a wonderful, accommodating server and our drinks and dinners were delicious and well prepared. On the expensive side but worth it. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Will definitely return in the near future.

All we can say is OMG Delicious!! This place has easily won our hearts and we highly recommend it if you want fresh amazing food cooked perfectly! Everything from the service to the food was spot on.. And we came on a Saturday night @ 7:30! I would recommend reservations like we did but they seem to have it running like a well oiled machine and things went very smoothly! We had the tuna tartare for an app, I had the sirloin for an entree and Steve had a seafood medley with fresh black ribbon pasta #Amazing

Food was fabulous! Very attentive servers. Just had appetizers but we were very satisfied after eating. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Will go back again this weekend for dinner with family!

Just came back from another great meal at Versante. Had the Arugula Salad (great as usual) and tried the Chicken and Crab. Excellent as always. Others had the Arugula Salad (favorite of the group), Eggplant Rollatini, and Bruschetta. Entrees were Seafood Pappadelle, Pasta Special - which included Scallops, mussels and lobster over a mushroom pappadelle, Chicken Parm, Gemelli Carbonara, Gnocchi Rappini, and Penne Vodka with meatballs.

The food is always good --so reliable--and the kitchen was able to accommodate a request for gluten and sugar free with excellent results. Thank you! The restaurant seemed understaffed as the wait times were too long for even our drinks and salads/appetizers. Whiskey cocktails were substandard (old fashioned and whiskey sours) at this price point but Vodka lemon drop martinis were tasty.

It is just a great place. It has a beautiful niche. There is nothing like this in this area. It supersedes its expectations in every way.

First time here. Won't be returning. Service was poor and rushed when the staff dropped food and babbled at us whatever they were serving. Noise was outstanding. High top table in the main bar area not recommended. First, blackberry mash was good. Water refills were never offered. We got an appetizer. The polenta with mushrooms was good, would recommend trying. The veal saltimbocca was mediocre. The veal was a bit tough. The seafood pappardelle was ok. The jumbo shrimp were over cooked and tough. Pasta was good, sauce moderate but have had better. Best part was the tiramisu and leaving. 2.5 stars. Not returning.

A must for regional and local dinners. Great food, homemade pasta--all was delicious. Service was good, with friendly staff. Beautiful interior and exterior. GOING TO BE OUR REGULAR DATE NIGHT PLACE.

Great service by Matthew. Awesome, fresh food. Husband had starter of oysters. followed by pasta special which was seafood over pasta in a white wine sauce. I started with U10 shrimp cocktail followed by chicken and crab with polenta and chopped fresh spinach in a tomato sauce. Very light dish. Dessert was tiramisu and cappuccinos. Ambiance is quaint/golf clubhouse vibes. We will be back, hopefully soon!

The Happy Hour food menu is yummy along with excellent cocktails. We also had dinner and it was delicious!!!! From appetizers which included raw oysters and calamari to our main courses of lobster and crab risotto and basa francese - OMG!!!! Awesome service and atmosphere.
