Vert Lodge - Rooms, Bar & Restaurant Chamonix

Accommodation was very basic and in dire need of a refresh, but the rooms were clean along with linen and towels. Bathroom looked to have been modernised more recently and shower was great. Sink was too small and practically had to head butt the wall to wash your face. Staff were friendly, helpful and the bar had a good atmosphere. Kitchen was closed on the Tuesday and Wednesday so we never had a chance to eat there but reports from other patrons was that the food was good and reasonable priced. Breakfast again was very basic but suited our needs and was help yourself. The hotel is about a 20 min walk to town centre but there are bus stops just outside, bus we wanted was every 30 mins. We got a good deal and personally it was value for money and met our needs.

While the facilities are basic what makes this the best place to stay are the staff and value for money. It's clean. It's warm, amazing food. The Staff have boundless energy and go the extra mile to make you welcome. The bar manager works non stop ably supported by Holly, Lucia and Dyson with a great chef churning out amazing food. I don't normally do reviews but these guys really deserve it

vert lodge was great all round, my first stay in a hostel and at 65 wife and friends thought l'd not like it, but was great. Ski holiday by myself is not cheap but this was such good value, slept like a log, comfortable room clean and warm, ensuite facilities good with powerful shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast included again very good selection and lots of coffee. Ski bus stop right outside lodge. Night time bar good fun, staff friendly. People from all over the world which made for an interesting time. Last night a Live band - fantastic if there'd been a powder day it would have made it one of the best holidays, but the Vert Lodge can't control the weather! I'll be back.

I thought this place was great. They have a free bag store room for your luggage before you check in, AND also for the day after once you check out. Solid free breakfast options. Rooms are nice and cozy, not just dorm beds but "pods." They have multiple common areas to hang out in and bathrooms you can access during the day. About a 20 min walk from Chamonix center, but you get great views the whole time and there's a pedestrian path on the road. The walk goes by quickly. Everyone is super nice, would definitely stay there again!

very very poor, worse then a hostel - extremely dirty rooms, no curtains (impossible to change as in direct view to main street), doors to terrace broken and won't properly close, extremely noisy and thin walls, poor breakfast - no variety, coffee machine filthy dirty, no minimum basic hygiene. service very unfriendly, also tried to double charge me a few times. absolutely awful.

Warm rooms, nice breakfast set up and nice location. But the core is the team, they're always available, smiley and polite. Fair prices for the location, next to a nice lake...big up 🫡

The breakfast was nice but the rest was scary |Everything was so dirty that we had remove the sheets.|I found stains on the walls and on the bed, hair, splashes of liquids on the doors; furthermore there was a very strong smell that did not go away even if you let it air out.

This was such a great choice for a simple yet cozy hotel in Chamonix. I visited in the off-season (early November) but the hotel was up and running and the staff was AWESOME. They upgraded our room upon arrival, gave great recommendations and directions, and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. The hotel bar and restaurant are also great!
