Disappointing Experience at Vertigo Hotel Dijon – Not Up to Marriott Standards As a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I expected a warm welcome and a level of service reflecting the loyalty I’ve shown to the brand. Unfortunately, Vertigo Hotel in Dijon fell far short of these expectations. The check-in process was frustrating and unwelcoming. Despite my elite status, there was no recognition or effort to make me feel valued. On top of that, I was charged €200 for the minibar (€100 per room), which feels excessive and unjustified. The minibar contains bare minimum of assortiment and contains only cheap products. This left a very poor first impression. The staff at the reception were notably unfriendly, with little interest in providing helpful service or resolving concerns. The rooms are small and not particularly well-equipped, certainly not what you would expect at this price point. On the positive side, the location is excellent, and the rooms were clean—but these are basic expectations, not redeeming qualities for a hotel positioned as upscale. Overall, I did not feel welcome as a Marriott Titanium Elite member, and I regret choosing this property. I do not recommend Vertigo Hotel in Dijon, especially for loyal Marriott travelers expecting a certain standard of hospitality.

Stayed one night solo at Hotel Vertigo and absolutely loved it. My attic-style room was full of charm and artistic design. The staff were warm and kind, especially after a long travel day. Beautiful interior, cozy ambiance, and a lovely view of Dijon’s rooftops. A perfect boutique stay,Also Spa was fantastic — will definitely return.

Decent enough room. Downside was the lift wasn't working properly on the day of check out so had to use the stairs down. Note that the parking is 1.85m height. Close enough to walk into the city centre.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vertigo. They clearly embraced their name to craft a unique and playful experience—tilted ceiling art, a floating bed set diagonally in the room, and bold design elements throughout. The bar had a great vibe with a live DJ, which added to the fun. Just a few tips: keep an eye on the room temperature—it got very hot overnight and woke us up. Also, the red and green window lights can be distracting at night, but easily covered with a towel. Overall, it was a fun and memorable stay—perfect if you enjoy modern, creative hotels with personality.

Google
Hugely Overpriced, tiny tiny rooms, I could barely find a place for my suitcase. There’s a big advertising blue light inside the window which they won’t/cant switch off which lights up your room interior at night. Elevator is super slow and you can’t take the stairs as they don’t go to reception. This place is no more than a simple 2 star hotel, so it gets 2 stars from me. The breakfast is pathetic. Good location and friendly staff but place is a big let down.

Hotel Vertigo in Dijon is truly a gem. A night here was one of the most memorable stays of my trip.||My room was tucked under the eaves — almost like a cozy little loft — with an artistic, modern design that still felt warm and welcoming. Every detail, from the lighting to the furniture, seemed thoughtfully curated.||After a long journey, I was exhausted when I arrived, but the reception team greeted me with such warmth and care that I instantly felt at home. I also enjoyed the design of the Nuxe Spa — calm, stylish, and a pleasure to enjoy and relax.|Also Bar was one of the best in town, you have to try!||From my window, I had a lovely view of Dijon’s historic rooftops, which made the whole experience feel magical.||Perfect for solo travelers or anyone looking for a more intimate, art-inspired hotel experience. Would love to return!

Google
Hotel is a tad small for 2 pax but the room is designed trendily. The location is superb. The carpark is not easily accessible especially with luggage. Suggest to drop them off at the front of hotel prior to parking.

Simply fabulous hotel and at a very reasonable price. The spa was superb with excellent choice of treatments. When in the lift, don't look down.

Yelp
I made my reservation using my Marriott membership and credit card on 5/27/2025 and got an immediate confirmation for my booking of the Magique Suite for 7/18-20/2025. I received a reminder and again a confirmation on 7/12/2025. I thought everything was fine until I arrived the hotel on 7/18/2025. At the check-in counter, they said they have cancelled my room reservation and sent an email to me on just the day before (7/17/2025). I did not check my email that often during a long trip from America so I and my family was really surprised. Their reason was that somehow my Marriott credit card was not working!! (No problem using my card in my entire European trip) They then gave us a much smaller room. I am not sure what is the deal because I ended up using the same credit card to book these smaller rooms on the spot and paid for them without any problem. How can they cancel my room a day before my arrival while I booked and confirmed 2 months in advance? I am still very upset with this experiences. Besides, they have a strong fragrance everywhere in the hotel that caused nasal allergic reactions to my son and I. Those who tend to have nasal allergy should be aware.

Yelp
There was some weird "new hotel" type smell that came and went, but other than, this place was great. The layout of the room was a little awkward but everything worked and the bed was very comfortable. The free WiFi worked really well and the hotel bar had 2-for-1 cocktail hour which was a cool way to try some new drinks.

Yelp
pretty good. Really good location. the hotel itself has this fun feeling with pretty spacious rooms, lots of original ideas in them, like a really good lighting system, fun showers, etc... small swimming pool, with nice hammam and sauna. the gym is really small but if you're lucky enough to be alone, all good. We tried a massage in the SPA, meh...the girl didn't know what she was doing so it felt more like somebody rubbing you like a thanksgiving turkey... Hotel staff was nice Overall, I would recommend
