Vertigo @ Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur

The bar itself is very nice and stylish. When we arrived, the lady at the entrance didn’t notice us at first. After we got her attention, she started showing us to a table but began cleaning the tables at the very back, even though the front tables with the best view were completely free. We waited for her to finish and then asked for a table closer to the front with a view. We were later served by what seemed to be the manager, who was extremely kind, welcoming, and professional. The views are absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic look at Kuala Lumpur’s majestic buildings. The sunset was especially beautiful and definitely the highlight of the visit. There is no minimum spend required, which is a big plus. We ordered a few drinks — they were fine, nothing special, but also not disappointing. Overall, a great place for the views and atmosphere, especially at sunset, though the initial service could be improved.

We had an absolutely exceptional evening at Vertigo, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Mr. Ng. Without exaggeration, he is one of the best hospitality professionals we’ve ever encountered anywhere. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Ng took care of everything with a level of attention that felt effortless yet thoughtful. He knew exactly where the best sunset spot was, arranged it for us ahead of time, and even timed everything perfectly so we could enjoy the transition from golden hour to the night skyline. The view was spectacular but his preparation made it unforgettable. When it came to food and drinks, his recommendations were spot-on. The cocktail pairings and alcohol selections matched the dishes perfectly, and you could tell he really understood both the menu and the overall dining experience. The combination of the service, the sunset, and the night view made the evening truly special. Honestly, we’d come back just for the hospitality. Vertigo is lucky to have him, and guests are even luckier to be served by him. Highly, highly recommended.

Had a wonderful time at Vertigo Bar on the rooftop of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. The city view was incredible, especially during sunset and at night when all the lights came on. The ambience was classy yet comfortable, and the drinks were really good. The staff were very friendly and made the evening even better. A great place to relax and enjoy the stunning Kuala Lumpur skyline!

Five Star View. I was staying close by and stopped in for a drink one night. It was a clear night and the views are truly breathtaking with tall the landmarks lit up. Only issue I had at first, was the service after you order can take a bit for you drinks to arrive. The upper deck was closed as it had rained earlier in the day but that gives you a 360 view of the area and the staff will let you up if asked. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Has limited outdoor seating so go early on a weekend.

Friend found this place to chill at night with panorama view. When it comes to food, it wasn’t worth it, coz we waited for like 20-25 mins for truffle fries and satay that we regretted to have there. Drinks were okay though, but I won’t recommend this place for food, so take somewhere else for meals. Me and my friend spent time at rooftop bar, enjoying the stunning view with cool environment. The rooftop is truly a one-of-a-kind spot, but only for the view. The spectacular view of the city is absolutely stunning and deserves five stars. ​However, the bar itself is quite anonymous and lacks atmosphere. The service was very poor and not attentive to details. ​I would only recommend this place for a quick drink to enjoy the scenery, but not for a high-quality bar experience

Vertigo Skybar is absolutely worth the experience! The view from the top is breathtaking, and the atmosphere makes everything feel special. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and paired so well with the vibe of the place. If you want a spot that’s both scenic and flavorful, this is definitely the place to be.

Vertigo @ Banyan Tree – 3 Stars Stunning views, sky-high prices, and service that’s more patchy than panoramic. Vertigo delivers on the visuals—Petronas Towers in all their glory, perfect for the ‘Gram—but when it comes to food and service, it’s a steep drop. We paid five-star prices for two-star food and three-star service. At one point, I had to leave my seat to request napkins and additional drinks. The wine arrived five minutes before the sommelier did—perhaps it was trying to escape? Food-wise: Nachos with salsa, guacamole, jalapeños, and sour cream. Enough chips for a party of six, but only one person would find the toppings. The meat and cheese board? Hugely expensive and half untouched. A real shame. Verdict: Come for the view, stay for a cocktail, and take your appetite elsewhere.

The views are the best in the city. The drinks are pretty good and the service I received was very attentive and appropriate. The food menu is very good as well, and is primarily high end small bites and a few larger dishes. You also have the option of sitting outside or inside, which is good because weather changes quickly.

DRINKS 3/5 Interesting, not bad but did not wow us. SERVICE 2/5 We were reprimanded since we were late. Staff was passive-aggressive and seemed annoyed. Can you blame us when the traffic in the Kuala Lumpur was just a nightmare in hell? AMBIANCE 5/5 That would be the only reason why people would come here. It was the ambiance and that is it. Staffs should definitely need to learn how to be nicer and kinder.

You're coming here for the view. There might not be a better view of the full city skyline so close to downtown Kuala Lumpur. The seating along the outside glass rail is what you want. The cocktails are about $12 usd and worth it. Stick to the classics which have a local fruit spin, like the lovely pineapple white lady. You don't need a reservation if you arrive as they open but a reservation sure does help!

Cool rooftop bar that should be on your places to check out when in KL. Reservations are recommended if you want to sit outside. Our hotel concierge arranged everything same day. Fantastic view of all three tall towers - Merdeka, Petronas towers and Menara - and great photo ops. The drinks are good but no better than any hotel bar but prices are a little higher, I was staying at the Ritz Carlton and the drinks were more expensive here, guess you need to pay extra for the views (I had an old fashion with Makers Mark that was $50 ringets at RC and it was $90 ringets here). Did not have any food here so can't comment but service was good and you can not beat the ambiance, nice breeze to beat the heat, fantastic views, good club music playing and sexy people all around. Would come back

Very lovely rooftop bar on the 59th floor of Banyan Tree hotel. You can see Kuala Lumpur and the Petrona towers from here. They have white wine and cocktail drinks plus some mocktails if you can't have alcohol. (I recommend the plum mocktail.) The price is also pretty decent for the type of venue. Service is quick! Keep in mind you tend to need a reservation unless you have a smaller party, then you can test your luck.

I looked up this place and had to try it out, but I wasn't able to make reservations. I was nervous we wouldn't be seated without reservations because of a crowd. My husband and I walked in on a Saturday night and thankfully we were greeted and seated immediately. Of course you come here for the view and it didn't disappoint. It was amazing!!! I could sit here all night if they let me. There was music playing in the background but nothing overwhelming. The staff was very polite and attentive. We ordered a few drinks and decided against ordering food, but the menu wasn't bad. We had eaten earlier. I thought I read somewhere that there minimum spend amounts applied, but that wasn't the case when we went. I would return in a heartbeat and try the food next time! I loved everything about this rooftop bar.

I wish I could give this place more stars! I've been traveling solo throughout multiple cities, and by far, Vertigo has offered the most welcoming atmosphere and experience. It's a sleek rooftop bar that boasts the best views in KL. Great ambiance and even a live DJ! The service was unlike any other place I've been in any country. Each person I encountered was friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They seem to be very genuine as well. The food and drinks also exceeded my expectations (Elfie makes a great drink!). I started out with the Asian Lady, a wonderful coconut cocktail. Next, I got the Hawaiian, which yet again, was a perfectly concocted cocktail,with pineapple purée. Of course, it's a plus that they were both Instagram worthy as well. The bar will serve you some tasty nuts and taro chips if you order anything, but I also ordered the Malaysian Spice Sliders. Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and again, A+ with presentation. I very much enjoyed my time spent at Vertigo and encourage anyone to stop by for a great night!

Only one good thing about this spot: the view. Everything else wasn't worth it. Service wasn't great; drinks were subpar but pricey (more than your average cocktail bar prices); ambience was...non-existent. You could practically just go there, take pictures of the view and leave.

This rooftop bar was a great place for cocktails and snacks with epic 360 views of the city (Petronas Towers). On Thursdays, they have all you can drink for ladies for a set price. Men get a 2 for 1 deal on the same day.
