Vesterbro Vinstue

I would like to say to all of you, YOU HAVE to try this restaurant! My girlfriend and I were absolutely speechless about the quality and the presentation of the menu and the knowledge about whine of the waiters. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very romantic and perfect for our special moment... This restaurant is the reason, why we will visit Copenhagen again! We will always remember this evening. We stumbled upon this place in desperation for a table somewhere on Saturday night, and it was the best thing that could have happened to us! We loved the whole experience. The food was so cleverly thought out and offered some cosy surprise, and the wine menu that went with it was just perfect. The staff were cheerful and hearty. I can't wait to go back again. Everyone needs to try this place!

Exceptional dishes, interesting combination of tastes, very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Small portions as you'd expect from that kind of restaurant.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Small portions but you will not go home hungry after 3 courses. Visited for dining week and would definetly come back to try more dishes

I found the staff to be wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable with not only the dishes and ingredients, but with the wine list too. A tad on the pricey side, but I was more than happy to pay for not only the quality of food and drink but also the atmosphere and welcoming feel. In my weekend away in Copenhagen I was drawn back to this little place and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more homely and authentic side of the Copenhagen food scene.

I was there on Thursday the week before last. a small wine bar with a small selection of dishes. The food was very good! Compliment! Also competent wine advice !! I highly recommend it!! greetings from Switzerland

Really Fantastic Food made by chefs, is pleasure to eat, Manu is changing every few month what’s perfect for me to try always something new and don’t get boring. nice atmosphere, good wines, really busy place, not formal but good and wines are really compare with much more expensive places.

Excellent food, wine and service, best bistro and wine menu I’ve seen and tried in Copenhagen. Impressive!

Despite being an avid Yelper, sometimes I'm glad I decide to just let my eye lead the way, as I probably wouldn't have chosen to dine here if I saw it's 3.5 stars on Yelp. Instead, I was walking down Istedgade and was drawn to Vinstue's street side tables adorned with pretty flowers. For dinner, they had a bunch of tapas dishes (each were 95dk, and 3 plates are recommended for sharing) with strange game meats like ox heart and quail (which the waitress said was goose despite the menu, so I'm not sure what to believe anymore). We got a fish, the quail/goose, and the ox tail. All three dishes were delightfully adorned with fresh herbs and vegetables, and I'm glad to be getting my fiber in. The fish was a little too salty, but the parsley purée, white asparagus and free basket of seeded rolls balanced it out. My favorite dish by far was the quail/goose - it had a morel mushroom sauce, rich and caramelly carrot purée and fresh peas bursting with pea flavor. I'm not even a big vegetable person but I loved the combination of the gamey bird meat with the vegetables. The third and final plate was the oxtail - it came with mashed potato that was a little smoky and very savory. The oxtail was fork-tender and the dish came with both pickled and fresh sliced carrots with fried turnip (?) crisps. I was also glad that the waitress recommended that our plates arrive in a certain order so we could appreciate each to its fullest. The glass of Pinot Noir I got complemented my meal wonderfully. Overall, a great place to people watch and eat while in Vesterbro!

Cozy atmosphere with enganged servants. Food is minimalistic and somewhat pretentious but does not disappoint in taste. The real treasure here is the wonderful wines and layed back atmosphere perfect for intimite dates or just catching up with an old friend over some quality wine and candlelit tables. Definately a place to visit when in Copenhagen.

I have to admit...this is another wine bar that I really like. The first time I came here was for a birthday party. I like how it is divided up into different rooms and areas. The decor is what really caught my attention. The wine selection is great and the prices are reasonable. I also love how when you go up to the wine bar, the menus are old books that have been rebound as wine lists. I have not had the chance to eat there yet, but I am looking forward to their yummy selective menu, and they have special events like wine tastings once a month and special Italian nights where you can get 3 courses for 295. This is definitely an institution in Vesterbro that you need to try!

The food is truly excellent and the service is friendly, but I suspect the place is understaffed. While we had great service at the start, the service seemed to be limited later in the meal. We also were overcharged by a few items on the bill. If the service improved, this would be a five-star restaurant without question.

Really nice food and wine. Great and cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. However a few mess ups in our food orders _ but it was handled in a professional and nice manner. All in all highly recommendable!!
