Undercooked Asada and over fried Talapia. This Mexican seafood restaurant is located right off the Maine street in Baldwin Park. The parking is not easy from the first time, since the parking lot entrance is located on another street. The parking can be difficult on Fridays and weekends. However, the vibe and atmosphere was fun and inviting. I ordered Asada for the first time. I assumed that the beef would be medium well to well done, since I was not asked how I would like it to be cooked. However, the meat came out to be disappointing: the quality of meat was poor and it was medium rare and hard to chew. Therefore, I ordered Talapia for the second time and I wished that they would do a better job this time. I even specifically asked to avoid to super deep fried the fish and keep the moisture and not too crispy and dry. However, when I looked at the fish and tasted, it was very hard and dry, hard to chew on. I had to ask the waitress since I asked in advance , not to do something like this, so the waitress agreed to exchange to another fish. Unfortunately, the new fish looked and tasted even worse than the first one, so I had to give up. Moreover, the second fish looked like that they just used one old fish and re heated up and served me. I was not be able to eat most of the fish meat and felt difficult to ask them to fix the problem again. As a summary, I think that this restaurant is good for parties and drinks, but really not good for meat and seafood, or maybe they need a new chef.
