Viajero Hostel Quito

Honestly, this hostel is a must see in Quito. The dorm rooms are super well organized, safe and private. The social areas are cozy, the garden is mystical, the bar is such a vibe and the ambiance is amazing. But the star of the show is the staff. Nataly, Michelle and Kate, 3 ladies that stole our hearts and made it so hard to leave. Strongly recommended!

Such a lovely place! The ceilings are so high and the wood floors are gorgeous, plus the garden in the middle felt so serene. Pilar’s breakfasts in the morning were delicious and priced right. The front desk was also very attentive and helpful- Kristy spent a lot of time in particular helping us. The free walking tour was excellent too!

Amazing hostel located in a beautiful property, sort of an old mansion with large windows, high ceilings and beautiful garden. Great change from the usually cramped poorly lit rooms of other hostels. Hot water, good water pressure, fast wifi for digital nomads, very clean and bright, fantastic staff. The location is safe with large police presence. You can store luggage in a locked storage room with a tag to prevent anyone else from taking it. This makes Viajero a perfect spot in Quito to leave stuff while you go spend a few days in the Galapagos, the Amazon, Mindo or the avenue of volcanoes.

Great hostal with restaurant. Friendly staff. Christi, at reception, welcomed us with a smile and gave us all the information. Perfect location, close to plaza central and other attractions. Easy to walk around.

Great stay here, stayed in a private room the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The beds are also very big. The reception is 24 hours and always on hand to help.

Everyday: no electricity between midnight and 7am and also between 11am and 5pm. So most of the time you don't have electricity, no wifi, no alternative to charge your phone. The whole neighborhood loses electricity during these hours as per political rules. However, most hotels have generators and are thus not affected by the power cuts, but this hotel does not have any. It is definitely a bit frustrating when you book this hotel because they advertise a coworking space but in the end you find out they don't have wifi between 11am-5pm (7 days per week)

Really nice hostel with huge dorms, clean common are and super friendly staff. We were allowed to check out an hour later, without having to pay an extra fee! Overall I would really recommend it and we are coming back :)

Beautiful colonial house with nice rooms, a garden within, a bar, small restaurant and a lot of place and offers to get in contact with other travellers (billiard, table tennis, ...). It's ubicated in the wonderful old town of Quito, close to the church Santo Domingo
