The nicest hostel!! I was traveling alone in quito and this hostel is one of the good experiences so far. The hostel is located in the nice area and inside the hostel is so amazing cause it’s huge, chilling vibes and a lot of good activities you can do And they also have a lot of activities per day that you can participate which is a chocolate testing, a salsa dance, a pool tournament etc.

Nice hostel with lovely private rooms. The location is at the end of the historic center which can be a bit dodgy at night but a short walk away from many of the historic landmarks. Reception staff was friendly although check-in took a while and when asking for help with taxis we received pretty bad advice. Private room was massive and extremely clean, the shower specially was so strong and warm, the private rooms certainly feel more like being in a hotel. The building itself is very pretty, nicely decorated and well kept, with plenty of seating outdoors and in the bar. Restaurant could have been better, on the first night (a Friday), the chef was also serving as cashier and waitress, running from one side to the other. We ordered the nachos and it was one of the most disappointing meals ever unfortunately, other nights just because we did not want to venture out and the restaurant was empty, we had the soup which was wonderful and another night burgers which were okay.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Everything was perfect. The hostel is in a huge and beautiful colonial house - rooms were very clean, great breakfast, nice bar and outdoor garden area. Great walking tour and activities. The best part though was the incredibly kind staff. All of the receptionists were lovely and so helpful. A shout-out as well to the night-time receptionist who really helped me when my airport taxi didn't show up on time. Thanks Viajero for an amazing stay, I'll definitely be trying out their other locations

The location is amazing, the service is amazing. Bryan was so helpful. The building is the best part. It belonged to a woman who was the first lawyer and a freedom fighter. The building has a history of 150 years, so I was so happy to be able to experience living in it.

An excellent hostel. It’s very central. The staff are sooo nice. If you’re staying in Quito stay here! The food in the kitchen is also so good. There is a veggie bean burger for 7e (9$) that is so good.

No complaints about the building, that is exceptional, an old heritage building, BUT, that is just one aspect of a hostel facility. Breakfast offered at 4$ was below average, ordering a avocado breakfast I received a miserable slice of avocado on bland toasted bread. A hostel with such facilities can do better, truly, not acceptable. Equally the rooms are suffocating, no fresh air, only sweaty travelers. Quite disappointed. Hope you take this into consideration, I've been traveling for ten years.

A very non-transparent hostel. Attached is the sheet I signed before check-in and payment. When I requested an extra blanket at night per #6 which reads ”you can ask for blankets at reception.”, the reception said it costs 5 dollars. Then they reduced the price to 2 dollars. The bed is 6.8 dollars per night, so if 5 dollars, it would be 73.5% of the nightly rate. If 2 dollars, 29.4% of the nightly rate, when I had booked my bed primarily to sleep and therefore expected blankets to be inclusive of the nightly rate. The reception manager insisted that I pay, so I told her she and the hostel lack transparency and I feel that I have been deceived by them. I told her to pay me back the 3 nights worth of payment I've made earlier in the day, and that I was ready to leave right away. Only then did she relent and said that I could have an additional blanket for free. Even then, I was provided with a used blanket with no fresh fragrance of laundry detergent. It means that they tried to charge me 5 dollars for the blanket that's not even been freshly washed for me. The whole story is just ridiculous. The hostel needs to stop deceiving travelers by charging us all kinds of hidden fees, and display proper pricing on the web. They need to be fair to travelers and inform them of all costs, not just nightly rates if they attempt to charge 5 dollars per blanket. Which hotel on earth will charge you x dollars per pillow, y dollars per bedsheet, and z dollars per blanket, all in secrecy and you only find out about them after you've checked in and fully paid for your stay? It's ridiculous. Ecuadorians need to stop deceiving foreigners like this.

Ordered a burger. Was far from being perfect and the fries were not cooked. They refused to give me a partial refund. Bad service, mostly for people who look for a cheap dorm hotel.
