I have been staying here twice, 2025 summer in Miami, and it was really grate experience to stay in this hostel that 2 min from South beach so I shouldn’t use uber and stuff is really kid and helpful, positive vibes, clean sheets and rooms are cleaned every day. Morover, my respect to Lorenzo helping with reservation and extension every time in best options for and my second time winter 2026 super grateful as well! I highly recommend from my heart!

I had the best time here ! Thanks to Maria & Ricky you both made my stay incredible. The amount of effort the staff puts in to ensuring travelers have a great time is amazing. I met the greatest people here thanks to the activities at the hostel. A super social hostel with friendly people. You can choose to do your own thing and ofcourse follow along with the greatest crowd. This hostel made my stay in Miami. Even found my chosen Christmas family and new years solid group of people to celebrate with. People that don't even stay at the hostel return because the energy is that good. Free drinks at the lobby, games , walking tours and laughter. What more can you ask for ? The beds have curtains so there is privacy and clean bathrooms and showers. Free coffee/tea in the mornings even filtered water. I would 100 percent return here. Right next to south beach. Come a solo traveler leave with many memories and life long friends.

Antonella and Agustina are absolutely awesome at the reception. They both helped me with my check-in and everything went so smoothly. Amazing stay at Viajero Hostels Miami Beach! The vibe was super friendly and the place always felt clean and welcoming. Again big shoutout to Antonella and Agustina for being incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely coming back!

Maria at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly accommodating, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. She went out of her way to make sure everything was smooth and that I felt comfortable, always with a kind attitude and a smile. Her professionalism paired with her warmth really set the tone for my stay and made the hostel feel like home. Maria is a true asset to the team, and I can’t thank her enough for such a positive experience.

Our recent stay at Viajero Hostels Miami earlier this month was, overall, a lively and enjoyable experience infused with a vibrant, social energy that truly captures the spirit of Miami. The atmosphere was fun, youthful, and engaging, making it an excellent choice for travelers looking to connect, unwind, and soak in the city’s rhythm. The common areas were particularly inviting, fostering a sense of community and ease, and the overall vibe of the hostel made our stay memorable and pleasant. That said, a few practical aspects did slightly detract from an otherwise delightful experience. The bathrooms were in need of attention, with plumbing issues that could benefit from timely maintenance, and the elevator was only partially operational, which posed some inconvenience. Despite these shortcomings, the charm, energy, and convivial nature of Viajero Hostels Miami shine through. With some improvements to facilities and upkeep, this would easily elevate the experience further. As it stands, it remains a fun and appealing place to stay, deserving of a solid four stars.

I had an enjoyable and relaxed stay at Viajero. I stayed in a double room, which was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a few days of rest. María at the reception was very friendly — she checked me in with a smile, helped me store my luggage safely, and made everything super easy. The location is great too — it’s nice to walk to South Beach, as well as to restaurants and shops nearby. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff attentive, and the overall service excellent. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and well-located place to stay!

Viajero might be the best hostel I’ve stay at in the US due mainly to the diverse pool of travelers and the efforts at daily events, and facilitating a WhatsApp chat to make it even easier to organize other activities. The most standout staff member was Maria, who takes great initiative to make the events fun and keeping everyone in the loop before, and during activities. She helped me host a beer pong event that was not officially on the hostel calendar, but contributed to make the night memorable. Constructive feedback is I wish they recycled, no kitchen, and coffee should be available all day. An included light breakfast would be nice to foster additional socialization in the morning. Last piece is the bathrooms need a remodel, especially the toilets, which often didn’t flush. Great stay overall, and thanks again to Maria!

The hostel has so many options that helps travelers: a miny selection of drinks and things we need, bag check, it provides towels, soaps, all day water and morning coffee. It has a pool and a bar, a restaurant and ping pong table. The most exciting is the speaky easy in the back. Sooo charming. The rooms are clean and nice with colorful bunk beds. The penthouse room is nice where you can see Collins avenue action. Haha. The building is a four floor art deco building where you think you are going into a restaunt, but pass it and enter the reception, pass it and see a bar, pass it and see a pool, make a left and go down to a speaky easy. The hostel is in a great location 2 blocks from the beach and near everything you need: deli, restaurants, phone IT, Cvs, etc. Tomy , a receptionist who checked me in, went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, I didn't know I booked myself in a mixed room. Omg! Thanks for a great staying!!! I recommend it to anyone: solo travelers can make new friends and group of friends can stay in a room all together since they also have mixed rooms.

Having stayed in Viajero in Colombia, I leaned toward this option to save money for a solo weekend business trip during Art Basel. As a female, I booked the 6-bed, all- female dorm for about $10 more than the mixed room, which for safety and comfort, in my opinion, is worth it. The room was clean and I liked that it had a private bathroom in the room that the women all shared. Pros: 24/7 front desk, cute pool, fun lobby hang out area, weekly activities listed on calendar in lobby, available tables and chairs on patio in front to eat and hang outside, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. In the heart of South Beach, the beach is 2 min away, great shops and restaurants around (24/7 restaurant, Azteca, literally on the corner) Cons: parking. There is virtually zero street parking, but I found a municipal lot 2 blocks away (do not park in a private lot, use only municipal lots that charge $20 max for 24 hours!- others will charge you $40+ per day). I felt this was reasonable for a 24 hour period. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided- I used my own towel. Overall, I had a great 2-night stay and saved a ton for what hotels in this area cost during Art Basel. Love me some Viajero!

Poor customer service. The staff are very rude and dismissive. People are not as friendly as other hostels.

Good price but it's not as good as I imagined it would be based on Google reviews. Facilities are hip but slightly dated - like carpets and couches are a little dirty when you look closely just because of the foot traffic. Check in takes way too long that there's a queue. Beds are comfortable but also a little basic and they only give you a thin sheet - you have to ask for a blanket. You need to bring your own locks. I heard the tours may Not be worth it. However it's well located and for the price a good value.

I would not recommend this hotel. We found our room floor to be very dirty. We felt the hotel smelled like pot all the time. We were also surprised to get charged a $28.50 resort fee. When I asked what the fee was for they told me that it was for a bottle of water that was in our refrigerator and a coffee in the morning, which neither of us drink and the use of the two little pools that nobody used. The sink stopper was stuck down in the sink and I had to pry it out so we could use the sink. Very disappointed, but I guess you only get what you pay for. There are so many nicer hotels along Miami Beach that would be better. The TV had a very weird color hue in it. And we also had to listen to the beating of music for most of the evening.

COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE COCKROACHES COCKROACHES COCKROACHES COCKROACHES i went to a white man with scruffy beard and baseball cap to tell him there was a cockroach infestation as there where baby roaches and large roach crawling in my bed and on the wall and in the bathroom for several consecutive days. He immediately dismissed my voice told me I'm lieing and asked me if I wanted to cancel my reservation The person above my bunk also spotted roaches. The person across my bunk also stated previous person also saw roaches and asked to switch rooms. Apparently they know there are roaches and depending on The race or class (in my opinion) they reserves the 3rd floor for their prized guest. There were so many whites here but not in the first floor. The person was placed in 307 and said the place was more immaculate and the first floor Avoid the first floor but also avoid room 106 ROOM SERVICE if you are in a female unit, be aware that they still send male cleaners to clean your room. They will NOT knock. The just enter and begin servicing the room We have been without shower gel for a couple of days. They have industry toilet paper but has been empty for 2 days There's no fridge. Bring your own toiletries and lower you expectations. The photos are nothing like the experience STAFF The attendant were genuinely warm. Especially Miceala and Benji. But the white guy with blondish scruffy beard and a baseball cap is a horrible representative for the establishment and is why I will be leaving the true experience here and on hotels com Learn to teach people customer service

Overall my experience with Viajero was ok but there were a few things that brought down my rating. 1. Staff - I agree with other reviews that say staff is friendly BUT the difficulty is actually being able to speak to someone. I had to call the front desk multiple times during and after my trip and no one ever answered the phone. I've never been to a hotel that doesn't answer the phone. 2. Checkin process - similar to the above staff seems to be spread thing. We had to wait 30 minutes to checkin when we arrived and it wasn't even busy. There was only one person in front of us but with only one staff member at the front desk we had to wait a while. 3. Hot water - the first room we stayed in had no hot water. Staff was very accommodating and we were switched to a different room but that room also didn't have hot water. At that point since we already switched rooms we just dealt with it. 4. Lost items - due to having to quickly switch rooms we lost a couple items in our first room. I didn't notice until we were home and when asking about the lost items at first staff told me they didn't have my items and no lost items were turned in during my stay. Then out of nowhere they found the items. Once they found the items I had to coordinate pickup and shipping with virtually zero help or communication from staff. I scheduled a FedEx pickup and staff told me FedEx refused to ship the item. When I asked what the problem was (ex no box, weight on the label was wrong, etc) I got no response. The few times I got a response it was more confusing than helpful. One staff member would tell me one thing and the next response I got from another staff member was completely contradictory to what I was previously told.

I love this place, especially the location and the surrounding areas that are very energetic and beautiful Art Deco Miami Beach. I accidentally made last minute reservations after my original hotel reservation was far away from the festival venue. I've checked in early and requested a lower bed, higher floor with a good view, they told me to wait till the room is ready, in an hour and the room was ready for me. The staffs were exceptional, they were friendly, helpful and always went extra mile to ensure my stay was enjoyable, Front Desk, Housekeeping team and bar/ restaurant staff work professionally. The room was neat with great view, clean and well equipped hostel style bed with everything you need, they cleaned the room everyday, they were 5 people ( including me) in 8 bed room, a nice quiet shared bedroom, I love it I enjoyed the hotel amenities, chillin in the lobby with other strangers, drinking and hanging out with other people who just met in the Hostel, randomly chatting with other strangers, a great experience!

Drinks are watered down and service isn't great so unfortunately nothing nice to say

I don't recommend booking the 8 person dorm room if you are coming out to Miami for work and on a time crunch. There is just one bathroom per room, and the sink isn't separated! So you are waiting to use your one and only option for showering. They do have one bathroom downstairs though. I've stayed in hostels in San Francisco with better options. Although this was a cheaper option for a work stay in Miami, it feels like a waste of money.

I absolutely LOVED my 7 night stay here. My favorite part was the daily scheduled activities like parties by the pool, sunset picnic at South Pointe, yoga on the beach, and volleyball where I got to meet and mingle with so many new people (some of which I'm still in touch with). Maria led most of the events while I was there and she did AMAZING! I will definitely stay here again in the future. I loved the energy.

Came here for a quick two night stay for my sisters birthday weekend and we were blown away! ***LOCATION*** Couldn't be in a more prime spot. Right in the center of so many restaurants and stores. Steps away from south beach. Perfect for those without a car. It only took about 20-30 min by Uber from the airport, and it isn't too expensive. I think we paid like 30$ for an Uber XL since we were 6. ***ATMOSPHERE*** The vibe is insane! Lots of cool people, a very cool pool area with a bar that had drinks for 5$ for guests during the party. They organize things every night for the guests. They had beer pong out by the pool. The inside is so cute and decorated. The rooms are amazing. The decor is so cute and the rooms are very nice. Bunk beds with curtains and lockers in the room if you're not staying in a private room. The bunk beds had phone holders and chargers and baskets. The lobby had ping-pong and a really nice waiting area. Overall was just really nice! ***STAFF*** They were all so nice and helped us get checked in. They brought us extra towels and let us check out towels for the beach as well. Each guest can get 1 per day. It's the same towel as the room towel, so not the biggest or best for the beach, but it's nice to have rather than having to bring your own especially if you're flying on a budget airline without much space in your bag. ***CLEANLINESS*** Everything was super clean in the rooms, bathroom and common areas! ***RESTAURANT*** My only complaint was that we had a bad experience at the restaurant. The night of my sisters birthday we just decided to eat there since they had 20% off food only for guests. Everything was like 1-5$ more expensive than the surrounding restaurants. The drinks also were slightly more than what we paid elsewhere. My sister really wanted the pasta pomodoro that was on the kids menu and asked if it was possible to get it. The waiter was pretty rude about it saying sure but she'd have to pay more. I get it for sure, but I do feel most other places just let you get it, especially since we were spending so much on drinks. They brought out our food at way different times. We ate in waves of 3. So some people had finished eating, then more of us got our food, ate, and then still never had the other peoples dishes. It was honestly insane how late the others came out with no explication or apology. e received our Miami Vice drinks and they were 1000% without alcohol. The deal for drinks was that during happy hour if you order a large drink you get a shot on the side. Well the drinks were listed as 17$, so we thought okay great deal. When we ordered, the waiter said "no those are virgin prices" then in a box on a separate part of the menu they had the sizes.. a large was like over 30$, I can't remember the exact price, but we opted for a medium or small I believe, which was 22$... when it arrived with no alcohol we were somewhat annoyed. I was sure that for their "deal" the alcohol on the side of the large would just be whatever alcohol they were supposed to put in it. Well if you get a smaller size, you just get no alcohol. We told the waiter and he said well it's just sweet so you don't taste it. But I've never been so sure of anything. There wasn't a single drop. We had the same drink for lunch next door and it was strong, despite being sweet. Without hesitation though he brought us each a double shot. So that was nice but I think he knew there was none originally. We even saw other tables send their drinks back. Also, mixing your own shot in a smoothie style drink that is now melted because you waited so long to get it is not great... When the bill came we were charged an extra 15$ for an "add steak". No one added steak... we also were charged a few dollars extra for certain dishes than what the menu said. We told the waiter and he apologized and said it was an error and that the extra dollars are just because the menus were the old price, but he still took a few dollars off to try and balance it back out. Wasn't completely balanced but he tried. At the end he offered us all a free shot at the bar. I feel like it was nice for them to do that but the whole dinner felt like a scam. The prices are presented for the drinks to make you think that's the price but it's only virgin. I have literally never seen that in my life. Then the suspicious extra charges really made me mad. Honestly the food was also not good. I really don't like to be negative. I'll still give the hostel 5 stars, but the restaurant is really just a no. Definitely so many better restaurants steps away and you don't feel like you're being scammed. ****CONCLUSION*** The hostel is really 20/10 and I highly recommend. Just avoid the restaurant :)

Terrible watery drinks. the staff is alright . Just don't plan on getting drunk off your $20 plus dollar drink ,don't even plan on getting tipsy .

Juan and the staff were sooo inviting and warm! It was my first hostel stay ever, and I'll always hit these beautiful locations! They have such a communal atmosphere that's spellbinding and incredibly welcoming. Thank you!

I stayed here in South Beach Miami without any expectations, and ended up meeting some of the greatest people ever! Not only did the workers go above and beyond with events (Shayla, you rock!), greeting you and making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. They are knowledgeable about the places to dine as well as have their own restaurant and two bars. They have THREE 4-Foot pools (1.23 meters) with different activities in each and plenty of seating. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach with several restaurants and shops, too. Several events take place at the hotel like nights of karaoke, clubs and pong. Not only will you meet people from all over, you will begin to treat them as family away from home and begin to go out with all of them and create meaningful connection. If you are looking for a wonderful place to connect, then this is the spot for you and needs to look no further. This solo trip turned out to be not so solo and I am grateful to all those who made it as great as it was.
