One of our favourite hostels in central America. Such a beautiful spacious place with a restaurant at the front and the hostel at the back. The dorms are basic but clean and have everything you need. Cheap breakfast is also available. Jason who works at the hostel reception was so helpful with all of our questions about Leon and about our further travels, and very helpful with transport arrangements. Definitely recommend.

It is a nice building and has courtyards and Greenery.|It is very noisy at night| But the first is the staff. I experienced violence from the night)early morning guy and terrible rudeness and unprofessional indifference from the check-in woman.||I have worked as a model and unfortunately women can be very bitchy. I won't go into detail as it has been a lot ...just to sat this little woman stared at me with hate and to my smile and hello with a stern"passport" and after she finished her writing she said follow me .showed me the bed and left in ..contempt.. she was so pathetic and ridiculous in her theatrics... I could see her inferiority complex turning into abuse. I had to go back to ask where the bathroom was!!|.. no WiFi info. No info about anything.i gradually discovered alone..things ..such as towels,Other bathrooms, the lqstday I saw there was a fridge .that guests could use... what a shameful attitude. And lack of card and basic professionalism..horrible staff.|||I complained to the manager the 2nd day, but he did not ask anyone to explain ms the facilities for my 4 day booking.. horrible! .and the WIFI DOES NOT WorK In THE ROOMS Despite Being WRITTEN As SUCH oN THEIR WEBSITE .!!a lie!! |.THE MANAGER DOES NOT CARE.i told him it does not work.he replied "yes!..".is that an answer???should he card to fix the problem instead???||I regretted booking it.my worst stay in a 6 week trip in central America |f|..

Restaurant: Great! Volcano Boarding: Super fun, but from my experience I cannot recommend doing it with ViaVia, since they don't prepare you enough for the dangers of it and they themselves don't seem to be prepared to properly care for you in case you fall. 3 out of ~20 people from my tour had quite severe falls, including scratches in the face and on the legs and open wounds. One had to go to the hospital on her own after the tour. They should have been looked after better IMHO. From what I've witnessed and heard from multiple people, the competitor does a better job at making sure everyone gets home safe, mainly by means of a much more thorough briefing. Hostel: Can't say, didn't stay here

Food was really slow (2h+). After a long time they asked if we still wanted it or wanted to cancel our order. It took 40 minutes more instead of the promised 15. The bar and activities (Volcano Day) are really nice. Did not stay here for the night.

Attended an expat meetup in Dec 2025. Very cold beer! The band was good, but very loud. Update Jan 16, 2026: If you are looking for great service, keep looking. Our server basically ignored us all night, we had to flag her down to get beer and then again to pay our bill. Honey, you'll make more money if you take care of your tables! Lots of wandering around, and avoiding our table. Slow food, cold fries, empty beer, no conversation, that's a fail! You'll make better tips if you take care of your tables! The table next to us arrived after us, got their food first, paid and left before we got our bill.

What an amazing hostel. It has a lovely bar and restaurant, garden, and the hostel is exceptional value. Best of all, I fell in love with the staff: the lovely Carolina behind the bar; Jason, the handsome and talented and professional manager; and the wonderful Andrea, the supervisor. Excellent experience.

Nice food, for okay prices. Also its a nice place te dit with sometimes some love music! But ufortunately it's a long wait for the food to arrive, and the food of the group is was with did not arrive on the same time. Bc of this sadly everyone ate individually, bc the wait in between was that long...

Really loved staying here! Great location and really nice restaurant too. The hostel kitchenette was a bit lacking but we made do. Had a private room and the bed was huge
