Currently staying overnight as I have a flight tomorrow. Positives - close to the airport, basement parking at a reasonable price, late check out until 12 noon at no extra charge, very friendly and accommodating reception and bar staff, good sized, comfortable room with all the basics included. Negative, and this is a big let down. An Hotel that serves an International Airport should be able to cater for dietry requirements. The chefs should know exactly what ingredients are in the food that they are preparing and serving. The menu has no symbols to indicate whether any of the dishes are gluten free. I do not choose to eat a gluten free diet. I have Coeliac disease, so I have no choice. I could have had the cheeseburger, apparently. I had a burger for lunch. I didn't want another one. The choice of food was so limited. So, I asked about the chocolate fondant and vanilla bean icecream and was told it was not gluten free. Not even the ice cream! I was told there was nothing gluten free for a dessert. Rubbish! Google the ingredients. I didn't have to. I know how to make a chocolate fondant. I know that vanilla ice cream is gluten free. If the chefs, at an hotel that serves an international airport don't know that, they shouldn't be in the job. I am frustrated and saddened and feel marginalised for having a medical condition that is not my fault, and is easy to cater for. Sort yourself out Vibe Hotel.
