Not to be confused with others nearby with similar names ("Waterfront Apartments ") etc, the Adina / Vibe is a large hotel in good surroundings. Rooms are large and comfortable. Some staff are hopeless, some are good. Lots of places to eat nearby and the city is just 10 minutes walk.

The hotel has a great location and excellent breakfast buffet however it was an uncomfortable time for me as the reception area and corridors outside the rooms are scented with a fairly strong floral perfume. I mentioned it to reception and they advised there was nothing they could do as it was connected to the air conditioning. If you are sensitive to perfumes like me I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay. Another member of my group had the same issue. I don't think its necessary as the reception area is lovely without it. Angela from Sydney

Not a good experience, was supposed to check in at 3 but room wasn't ready, by 3:45 still not ready so they had to do some shuffling and give us a different room, although this was a painfully slow process. Requested a blanket rather than doona and they brought up a wafer thin stained single "blanket" for our king sized bed, eventually came back with some better options however they were also really stained. Ordered room service at 11pm (2 x toasted sandwiches) told about 15min, nearly an hour later after chasing them up a couple of lukewarm sandwiches arrived. Location was great but was really let down by the service.

Great location. Facilities very good. However, compared to other vibe hotels, the in-room facilities are very basic. A coffee pod machine would be a great addition. Also a small couch instead of a single chair would be good. The bed is comfortable but sleep quality could be improved by removing the light on the smoke alarm and having a quieter fridge. I would say it would also be quite noisy on the weekend when I assume there would be more people down at the waterfront area. |The staff were all very friendly.

We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately our experience was far below expectations. Overall I would rate this hotel as appalling. The cleanliness of the room was certainly not up to standard, the bathroom was unpleasant and we certainly didn't sit on the couch. The carpeted corridors (filthy), the dirty walls, the damp smell in the corridors and rooms - nothing even vaguely met cleanliness expectations. In addition to which, Reception staff were surly and quietly mocked our verbal feedback. The only thing in this hotels favour is it's location.

We stayed in Vibe for 3 nights visiting Darwin. It is a decent hotel, but nothing special and certainly not luxurious. The laundrette is a big plus, the big negative is the pool that is way too cold. The negatives are compensated for by its location at the waterfront with its bars and restaurants and short walk into the CBD.

The Vibe Hotel in Darwin offers nice rooms, but the true highlight is its fantastic location. While the building and rooms show their age, the views from my room were awesome. However, the bathroom could use some attention, as it’s starting to show signs of wear and could benefit from a thorough cleaning and refresh. What really sets this Vibe apart is its superb location. With a variety of dining and drinking options along the covered esplanade just below, it’s easy to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. Plus, water sports are conveniently accessible, with a wave pool and water park right at the back door. The hotel is also just a short 10-minute walk from the CBD, making it a great base for exploring the area.

Stayed 2 nights, was very impressed with the location, so close to everything. The room is very dated and for the price was disappointed. The website mentions daily servicing of the rooms, when mentioned to reception staff, they said it’s only serviced when staying 3 days. If that’s the case, then say it. I understand that it is in prime location but service and updated rooms would go a long way.

Yelp
Stayed here for 1 night on a recent work trip so can't comment on the value for money but! The facilities, staff and location is as good as it gets for Darwin. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any query. I only ate breakfast at the hotel but this was the usual spread - all up to standard. The hotel is located right next to the Darwin Waterfront which has been done up very nicely and is a nice place to waste an afternoon at in the wave pool or lagoon. There is also a pool in the hotel if you are that way inclined. They serve food and beverages by the pool. From the hotel there is a overpass to the main streets of Darwin Town. You can also catch a taxi to Cullen Bay for around $10-$12. The rooms were large and spacious with a bathroom and plenty of seating area. Would definitely stay here in Darwin again for work or a holiday. I have stayed in Darwin once before at the Holiday Inn and this hotel was much nicer and modern.
