Google
An all round great hotel. I’m frequently staying here and have not been disappointed. Staff are always friendly and true customer service superstars. Rooms are always clean and smell fresh. Bed and linen is clean with plenty of pillows for two. Bathrooms are spacious with rain-head showers. Restaurant is well suited to location and has outdoor dining also. Pool and gym facilities although small are a great addition to this hotel and put it above others. Couldn’t recommend highly enjoying.

Hidden Gem! Great location with a fantastic pool My wife and I enjoyed our stay over 2 days. The parking price was reasonable compared to other hotels. The pool was accessible unlike the crowded pools of other hotels. The service was great and the team looked after us with some flexibility.

I stayed here for a week, I could not have been happier! Was upgraded to newly renovated room, needed extra towels and room cleaned outside of room service hours, not a problem at all. Room service was very fresh and prompt and staff were wonderful! So friendly. I'd stay again 100%. Also get the paper each morning and lots of nice toiletries.

Awesome hotel. Great staff, I've stayed there quiet a few times. Rooms were recently renovated. Nice comfortable beds and plenty of power sockets. Right next to a park and fairly close to train stations. The pool upstairs has great views especially nice at sunrise.

Great location! Nice park on the doorstep. Good location if you want your base to be in Eastern Suburbs. Reasonably clean. Recently refurbished but not completely, some parts of the room still looking a bit tired. Overall good place to stay if you are looking for a bit better than budget stay.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Great rooftop pool. Fantastic spaces to eat and relax. Close to parks and bay. Easy walk to the X. Lovely staff. Dog friendly. No traffic noise in rooms. Block out blinds. Soft pillows.

Modern and clean! Rooms are nice and we got a free upgrade which was awesome. Room service menu was a bit bland so we opted for uber eats. Facilities like pool and gym are really good and the bar is fantastic.

Don't bother - not worth the time or money. We stayed for two nights over a weekend, without being told the hotel was being renovated. The room was one that had already been renovated, but the rest of the place smells moldy and damp. Staff are under qualified and hopeless. Don't bother asking for a cocktail, as they are too complicated for them. Car park is tight and hard to get space. Don't think any amount of renovations will improve this hotel.

Yelp
Great view from the rooftop pool. The gym is pretty good compared to some other hotel fitness centers I've been to. The rooms are updated, cozy, clean and well appointed with the necessary amenities. The building was under construction when I visited but I'm guessing it should be complete by now. The staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The location is really convenient as well.

Yelp
Lobby had a very cool ambiance, vibe and workers were helpful. Room was good but could work on cleanliness of shower. Hotel is in a nice enough area with some different options to eat if you're willing to walk

Yelp
Wow! The vibe hotel in Rushcutters Bay is a very cool, trendy hip hotel! Ive noticed people don't yelp enough in Australia and I don't understand why vibe hotel has low rating? I absolutely loved my stay at the vibe hotel! 5star hotel! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Australia. LOCaTION, LOCATION! It has a very young New York SOHO vibe. Walking around. Close to the harbor and Kingscross. Very cool restaurant on sight and an amazing rooftop pool with the best views!! I will be back, just to use that amazing pool again ;))) thanks for a lovely stay, Vibe

Yelp
While the location wasn't in downtown Sydney, this hotel checked off everything on my wish list; fitness center, outdoor pool (rooftop), clean/comfortable, and affordable. This is the second time I have stayed at a Vibe property and was very impressed with the amenities you get for the money. One note, the Free WiFi does a daily limit so I recommend using it sparingly.

Yelp
Rooms are large and somewhat clean. However, my bedspread had small brownish red stains on it that were hidden underneath the promotional material arranged on the bed. They replaced it the next day after I asked, but it was surprising considering the price per night. The bathroom faucet kept coming off in my hands so that I would have to shove it in and then screw it back on in order to turn off the faucet. Repeatedly, I was awakened by guests in the middle of the night walking down the hall screaming or chatting loudly on their cells. Don't buy breakfast package since the food is poor and never warm, regardless of when you go to eat: 7am or 10, doesn't matter. Always cold and without flavor. It's as if they're not really trying. Coffee is made by one of those cafeteria coffee machines so popular in dormitories in Germany. You get few choices, strong and mild, decaf, and mocha. Since there's a cafe down the street that actually cares what they serve and loads cheaper, don't buy breakfast. Nothing is free in this hotel. You pay exorbitantly for Internet, more than I've ever seen in Europe, the Middle East, or North America. They even insist you buy time on their computer and pay per page for your boarding pass. The machine only takes coins so be prepared. Hotel staff are fairly ambivalent to the guests. With the exception of one, most seemed surprised by any guest's requests. I asked for a window that didn't look into the apartment building next door's dumbwaiter, but was told that they could not accommodate a room change until the day before leaving. However, they were extremely engaged with the many Quantas flight crews that stay there. They spent a good amount of time making sure they were well taken care of. I stayed over a week and felt like I was putting them out because I asked for some sort of view. What were the positives? The hotel is next door to the world's largest doggie park; Australian canines are the happiest dogs on earth. The rooftop pool is temperate and empty at 6am when I did my laps. I usually had the company of two cockatoos who stood on the roof railing watching me. There's a bus stop right in front giving easy access to public transportation and the ability to go downtown. The hotel is a bit aways from most attractions.

Yelp
While the beds and rooms are comfortable, the air conditioning wasn't working in either of the two rooms we had booked. I'd say the room temperature was around 26°C even though the thermostat was set to 15°C. The in house dining menu was average. Only free to air television channels. And the pool is off limits until the construction is completed in November, unless you want trades men watching.

Yelp
Two stars because of 3 decent employees, but 1 star is more of an accurate representation of our 3-day stay here. I'd say 5 out of the 8 employees I encountered had no idea which way was up, nor cared to learn. Let's start from the beginning. My friend and I arrived here after traveling for 29 hours from New York. You could imagine the exhaustion. We had about 5 large luggage items, none of which anyone in the lobby offered to help us with. When we asked about a cart/trolley, they said they don't have any. When we arrived at our floor, we found one. Our room was basic, very small, with two twin beds. Second floor, window looking right into 10 apartment windows across the way (which is fine, it happens, whatever). No slippers or robes (not that this is necessary but it is typical), and two towels. Two. We were dehydrated and starving and with no minibar we immediately called the front to order water bottles from their "24 hour room service", to which the girl told me they have none. No water bottles? She offers to bring up a cup of water. We call again minutes later to ask about something else, and a male answers, so we ask about water bottles again to which he asks, "small or large?" OH, now we have OPTIONS! Now, we are traveling and don't want to spend $50 on 2 pizzas from room service, so we call down again to the front and ask if there are any restaurants in the area that are still open in walking distance or any that deliver. The girl speaks complete English, yet for some reason has no idea what we were talking about and doesn't know of any pizzerias in existence (there are 4 within a 1-mile radius). So, in efforts to save her brain from exploding, we ask if there is a website like Seamless where, we explain, you can order online. She checks with someone (they do a whhoole lot of "checking" here aka they know nothing, ever) and calls us back to give us a website, to which we use up all of our measly 100MB of free WiFi trying to order (this is how much they give you for 24 hours-- this is about enough to use the internet for 45 minutes) and get cut off right before being able to place the order. Welp, at least we have waters... My friend attempts a shower, the faucet handle falls onto the ground. At this point we're laughing--- we're in the twilight zone!! The next morning we leave the room and are missing our "do not service" door knob sign, so we tell the girl in the hallway not to service. She does anyway....... We return and its hot as balls- its summer- our sheets and clothing are damp- is there no AC?! We call the front and they send up maintenance to tell us that in order to activate the AC you have to put your card in 2 clicks. Ohhhhhh guess they never mentioned that in the welcome packet that never existed. My girlfriend had been expecting a package without a tracking number so she had to call down to the front, and every time was worse than the next. Always a "let me have a look". One time they called back about 20 minutes after we called to tell us there was a package for Kate. Neither of our names is Kate...... Back she went into the black hole of "looking" world and we never heard from her after that. Finally, the straw that broke the back was when I returned the night before I was set to check out and asked if I could get a late check out of noon instead of 11, to which the woman said she would have to "check and see" as she got typing. No. No you will not check and see. I stay at hundreds of hotels and ONE hour is never a problem. But here at Vibe, everything is a problem. I wasn't going to complain to them, until this moment, right here right now. I spend the next 40 minutes telling them how bad everything has been, and that knowledge of the area/ hospitality here is a zero on a scale from 1-10, and lets just say, I landed myself a late check out.

Yelp
kind of on the budget side although it was perfectly adequate. a bit far from things (at least the things we wanted to do) and the daily limit data on the wifi was cheesy. the rushcutters bay is quite nice though and we often took a morning stroll there. if you are taking public trans, the bus across the road is far easier to get into town than walking to the king's cross train station. service-wise most of the employees were very good, one in particular was great (he helped plan our day's itinerary to great success), while one in particular (the one who "helped" us when we first arrived), was not so good. on a very busy road but the rooms managed to stay quiet!

Yelp
We really enjoyed this hotel. We bought a package through an agency, so nightly fee was included. The lounge is spacious and well appointed. Great prices on food and drinks as well. Staff was pretty helpful. Loved the rooftop pool - quite the party area in the evening. Decent little gym overlooking the pool. Our room was neat and clean and the bed was comfy. Good shower too.

Yelp
Firstly I'm staying here not out of choice but because my company accommodates me here. That being said I think my comments are still relevant. The hotel lobby seems pleasant enough at first impressions. Although he doors aren't automatic. Seems like a small thing, but when ur loaded up with bags (and you usually are when you stay at a hotel) it's a pain to have to open them and pull them in. So not exactly a warm welcome. For the cost of automatic doors this seems a a bit budget. So I guess that sets the tone of the entire hotel. It's budget accommodation hotel style. It's about the same as a standard ibis (not the budget Ibis tho). The rooms are a bit bigger. But noisy (not had enough to to miss sleep - but come morning time expect to here everything around you. The side I'm on looks straight into apartments. There is a privacy blind that u can pull down which is something. I didn't see it at first it's tucked up under the pelmet, but it's there and works. The block out blind is tracked into the sides so it works well. Looks a bit tired but it's functional. The staff are pleasant and polite. I could hear a phone ringing for an hour when I first checked in (after 9pm). After investigating it turned out to be the fire wardens phone in a fire hydrant compartment between the lifts. I advised the hotel manager and she was great and responded immediately and sorted it (not sure what she did but it stopped ringing - it wasn't an alarm, it was a fire phone). The bed is pretty average but I did sleep. The duvet is too thin. It needs to be upgraded. The room was clean but that's expected. I'll edit this review if there's anything more to add or subtract. Edit 1 : the shower is awesome! Super powerful (or can be adjusted down if desired). I had breaky in the hotel. It was quite nice. You could sit and peer out the windows at the adjacent park. The food was fresh and tasty. It was a buffet of course and to the credit of the kitchen there wasn't so much food that it went cold or looked like it had been sitting there too long. There was just enough food the number of people eating. A reasonable variety and price.

Yelp
I agree with KJs assessment of this hotel, but it definitely deserves less stars. Does NOT match up the website impression of this hotel! VERY misleading! Over half the rooms have really terrible views, not just bad, but shitty. We asked for a better room, and they said they could have housekeeping rearrange the furniture. Rooms are small and dingy. Very far from anything. $16 cab ride to downtown. I know Sydney is expensive but this place just isn't worth it!

Yelp
Horrible hotel- don't stay here. When we arrived at 8 pm at night the hallways were littered with old and smelly room service trays. The shower in the room had a big smear of ?makeup? blood? dried on the wall. I called the front desk and they just sent a guy who wiped it off with a dry towel. You could tell the shower had not been cleaned. They gave us another room after I complained, and if we had not booked 4 days(non-refundable) we would have left. The room service cleanup was lazy, there always seemed to be trays and dishes scattering the hallways. The meal at the restaurant was a good effort- but the cook did not even warm up the mash. it was expensive too! The pool is not heated to a comfortable temperature- it was freezing. Staff did not seem to want to make our stay better or even pleasant, they seemed disinterested in being hospitable. Other guests were large groups of Asian schoolchildren or United Airlines employees--the walls are paper thin- I could hear everything the stewardess was saying about touching down in Sydney. It is on a very busy road and not family friendly. The "junior suite with a view" faced another building of apartments- so you are looking right into someones patio or window. You could see just a peek of the bay from another window. I chose this place because of a good review in a Sydney magazine and it was nothing like they wrote. It also is lame they do not provide free wi-fi.
