"A library that can expand your understanding of wine? That’s what sommelier Yolanda Villegas intended with the name Viblioteca, an amalgamation of the Catalan words for wine ("vi") and library ("biblioteca"). True to her word, there are vast volumes inside (around 150 different bottles) this wine bar, but this is no fusty old space. Rather, it's bright and light, with white tables, stainless steel accents, and a cute illustrated menu handwritten along two walls. Additionally, there are more than 60 varieties of cheese, which the staff can expertly tailor to your wine. Other house classics include the bikini amb tòfana (a toasted sandwich with jamón ibérico, mozzarella, and truffle), Vietnamese rice-paper rolls, and a selection of carpaccios—from the standard beef, to more creative options like artichoke, foie gras, and parmesan." - Gemma Askham

A phenomenal experience! The wines were one better than the other, the food was amazing and the team catered to our tastes with one member having multiple food restrictions. The staff are warm and welcoming. We will always visit when we are in Barcelona. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely great. 2/3 dishes we tried were amazing, but the shrimp rolls did not deserve much. Cheese board absolutely amazing, but the price is quite high - 33€ for the board in picture. I would come back but just to have a cheese and wine taste. It’s very expensive for what we ate (40€ pp) and I believe with that price you can have a proper dinner rather having small tastes. Wine also great! And the service so nice, it’s just took a bit more than expected for the cheese board.

Love this place for both wine and the delicious food. I particularly like their orange wines, but everything I tried was great. The small plates to share are interesting and tasty and full of flavor, I highly suggest the asparagus dish, it’s my favorite. The service is also friendly. A reservation is strongly advised, but we came once or twice without one, and they were able to squeeze us in for a quick drink, for 30-45 min.

Lovely place. There is a wide variety of wines and cheese. Cozy atmosphere. Extremely nice staff. An interesting menu, executed in a rather unusual way. Delicious food, obviously. I can recommend it as well.

I’m very disappointed with my last experience there. It’s a place that I know and I used to go frequently, however, I’ll never go back. I understand that this place is popular and we have 2h to eat. However; if you want to give those slots, the service needs to be on point. We arrive at 6pm, we waited 20 minutes just to have a plate and a waiter to take our order. Then other 10 minutes to get the table and then 30 minutes to get our cheese board. We only had 1h left when we were served. By the time we wanted to order more, it was 19h40 and the waiter told us we could not take something else because the table was reserved. I explained her that they took extremely long, she wasn’t understanding at all. Then another waiter said at least sorry and propose us another table at the bar but I just wanted to leave that place. No gesture on the note is the reason why I would never go back to this place. They don’t know how to serve and fix their mistake. Also, I paid 70 euros for a bottle and a cheese board which was ok but clearly does not work 30 euros…
