This cafe was super chill. Not sure why I felt so comfy there since it was my first time, but the vibe was warm and the food tasted like something you’d have at home. It was a cold morning so I got the soup of the day, chicken and onion, and it came with their focaccia. Omg it was so good🤤 The soup was nice but the focaccia was next level. I ended up buying a whole one to take home. I went back another day and tried their panini. Honestly, the best one I’ve ever had. Coffee was really good too🥪☕️ Highly recommend!!!

I like the breakfast food and coffee, I saw many people come to get the bread products, must be good

Food was great, but a bit of an awkward wait until it was heated for takeaway. Need a takeaway waiting area. Incredibly busy on a Saturday morning. On the pricier side. A couple of off street parks for the cafe in the alleyway to the left of the cafe. Otherwise you park in the street or street opposite if you're lucky to find a spot.

OK, ROUND TWO... Not so many mushrooms and they were dry and old.(even cooked you can tell they're old) Asked for another side to replace the old ones, more old ones came out. No grilling, oil or heat will change the consistency of rubbery old mushrooms. Staff are still cool and price all good, just consistency is important... Simple, delicious, yum. If you're vege, the spinach is a super serving size! Comes with mushrooms and tomato too. I ate most of the mushys in the photo but trust me, there's more! I've seen the bacon and for meat eaters, I suppose it looks great! 🤣 There was a queue but it moves quick and you see why everyone comes here for food. The afghans are massive! My breakfast came out super quick and the team works in a very friendly and efficient way. Fabulous eggs on home made bread!! Great place.

I didn't realise this cafe was here! I've been walking past this little Gem for over 3 weeks. Lovely cafe with quick service. I ordered a tea $4.50 which is a good price compared to other places. When I walked outside I thought the tea felt a bit cold so when I checked they had put half a cows worth of milk in. So went back in and the lady was so lovely, made me a fresh drink, one of the nicest teas I've had

I went there after brunch with friends to have drinks there today. Comfortable and chill vibe. Would love to visit again to try some menus for next time. Some of the loafs of bread looks beautiful too. Also the girl who gets order is nice with smiles. Hope after try the food to raise the star. :)

Great choice of breads, absolutely love focaccia - the best in the city. Im a regular customer, now addicted to brioche and raspberry/ blueberry custard rolls ( baked only on Fridays). Very popular place, always full, good menu, everything is fresh (open kitchen, so you can watch the chefs cooking your meals). Great place to meet a friend or enjoy lunch. Very friendly stuff. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We stopped by for breakfast, mmm, mmm, good! The service was nice and friendly. The ambiance was great, not too loud, nice place to sit for a cup of joe. I would recommend to come here for breakfast.

Yelp
Three and a half stars. Many people gave this cafe a ton of hype and told me I just had to go. So, I did. I don't know if it was the hype or the day I went, but underwhelmed is how I can best describe my experience. The staff is friendly enough but even with a line several people deep there is no motivation to get people seated. I ordered their green energy juice which took about 7 minutes to be delivered to the table, but it was delicious and refreshing. The food was delivered to our table pretty quickly (french toast) but I was not impressed. There are several other restaurants nearby that make a fantastic french toast that I regularly go out of my way to order. I won't be back for this one mostly because it was just bland. There wasn't anything terrible about it, it just didn't stand out. The cafe itself is charming. They have a section of bread for sale, so if you come in early you can pick up a loaf or two of freshbaked goods (looks like these go fast). Enjoy indoor or outdoor seating at wooden tables or lounge chairs. There are posters and signs on the walls featuring upcoming events and the vibe is very laid-back. Visit this place if you're in need of a caffeine pick-me-up for sure, but brunch is a no-no.

Yelp
I was in Christchurch for a week for work. Based on the suggestion of a local co-worker, I visited Vic's. I ended up going to Vic's every morning I was there....although I did mix up the breakfast food choices. The flat white was great as well as the food. I highly recommend the french toast.

Yelp
Pancakes were cold when they arrived and super dense. The panini was underwhelming. Wouldn't go back for food. I'm sure it's fine if you just want tea/coffee.

Yelp
Really nice atmosphere, the staff were super friendly and it's in a great part of the city. The food was pretty good, some of the best eggs I've had in a long time.

Yelp
Great Eggs Benedict, also big props for the Eggs Montreal. Coffees are excellent and the place has a lively vibe.

Yelp
I had heard good things about this restaurant but I was disappointed. It had an average breakfast and the coffee was also average. It did seem to be a place where the locals gathered.

Yelp
Vic's, like many cafes in the area, is a cute space that serves coffee, baked goods, and standard breakfast items. I had the cheese and ham muffin for breakfast with a macchiato. The muffin was freshly baked and warm. I also bought some cookies which were nothing special. Overall though, the food was good and the service was friendly.
