Victoria Beach

Victoria Beach truly felt like discovering a hidden treasure along the California coast! I visited in April and was lucky to find it beautifully quiet and peaceful — no big crowds, just the sound of the ocean and the perfect beach vibe. The entrance is a bit tucked away, but once you make your way down, you are welcomed by a breathtaking coastline framed by rocky cliffs, soft white sand, and swaying palm trees from the park area above. Highlights: • The Pirate Tower: A visit to Victoria Beach wouldn’t be complete without checking out the iconic Pirate Tower! Nestled right against the rocks, it looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. If you come around low tide, you can walk right up to it. It’s even better in person than in the pictures! • Photoshoot Magic: During my visit, I stumbled upon a professional photoshoot happening near the cliffs. Honestly, it’s no surprise — the dramatic rock formations, golden light, and serene setting make this a photographer’s dream. • Peaceful Atmosphere: Unlike some of the busier beaches nearby, Victoria Beach offers a sense of privacy and calm. Perfect for relaxing, reading, or just enjoying the beauty of the Pacific. • Easy Parking: There’s street parking available close to the beach access point. It wasn’t difficult at all during my visit, and the walk down is lined with beautiful palm trees and stunning views. • Local Tip: After your beach time, stop by Ruby’s Diner just a short walk up the hill! It’s a classic 1950s American diner — the perfect spot to grab a juicy burger, a handmade milkshake, or an amazing Fudge Brownie Sundae. Final Thoughts: Victoria Beach is a magical, picture-perfect spot that feels both adventurous and peaceful. Whether you’re visiting for the Pirate Tower, snapping some epic photos, or just soaking in the sun by the cliffs, it’s an absolute must-see when in Laguna Beach. I’ll definitely be back — and I highly recommend visiting during springtime if you want to experience this slice of paradise without the crowds!

It’s a one of the best beaches between LA & San Diego. You can explore a pirate tower and then chill at the natural huge bath with a waves of the sea ocean:) (especially when no kids around) and then you can send a bunch of pictures straight to @National Geographic amazing views, beach, birds, blue water, whatever you want:)

This is a very beautiful and relatively small, cozy beach. You have to park on PCH, then take a short walk through a beautiful neighborhood and find a stairwell down to the beach. At the bottom of the stairs to the left is the beach, but if you go right and trek across the rocky path you will get to Pirates Tower, which was very cool to see. Careful where you step though, I almost stepped on a starfish that was washed up on the rocks. I can imagine the views are gorgeous at sunset, but I went in the morning and it was still nice.

This beach is absolutely stunning! The only way the public can access this beach is you have to go down Victoria road through the neighborhood. The road goes under a bridge and then you meander over to the left to get to the beach.

It was a little crowded but still a favorite beach to go to because of how clear the water is year around. Not to mention it's a super clean beach.

We parked on the main coast highway as there were a lot of available spots this time of the day. We decided to visit Victoria Beach during its evening hour and enjoyed a completely different experience than seeing it during the day 🌒 Despite the high tide, we were still able to walk along the rocks to see the tower and while we could have made closer to the tower, a lot of the path was already submerged in water so we decided otherwise. The beach is definitely less of a public beach and more of a neighborhood beach, which I appreciate. It almost feels as if the stairs leading down to it are apart of someone else’s backyard. There’s really beautiful houses right on the sand and a cute community that this beach belongs to. Very welcoming and kind 💛 The tower is mysterious and without much of a story provided, I think looking at it (especially in the evening) can make your imagination run wild. Definitely an inspiration spot that sparked our inner curiosity and adventure 🧭

I love this beach literally a 2 hour ride for me but I would come evrytime. Water is so blue, very clean. The break wall was great for the kids it creates a little room at medium tide. No bathrooms though

This place is a hidden gem in laguna beach. The access is actually not clear if you’re not used to come around, but easy to find. Here you can find the mysterious “pirate” tower. You can walk through this beach and breathe peace. It seems like time stops once you get here.
