The Victoria Hotel is known as the most prestigious and expensive option in Chau Doc, but unfortunately, it falls short of its reputation. For the price you pay, the experience simply doesn’t deliver the value you’d expect from a high-end hotel in this region. The rooms are quite small, and although they are clean and functional, the decor feels outdated and in need of a refresh. The hotel has a charming colonial style, but it now comes across as more old-school than timeless elegance. The overall ambiance would benefit from some modern refurbishing to align with its high price tag. One major tip for future guests: make sure to book a room with a river view. The street-facing rooms are very noisy, especially in the morning, which can be a real downside for light sleepers. The riverside view is much more peaceful and offers a more authentic experience of the Mekong Delta. While the location is convenient and within walking distance of the town center and local attractions, the breakfast is another disappointment. The selection is limited, and the quality is not up to the standard you would expect from a hotel at this price point. Overall, the Victoria Hotel’s prime location and historical charm give it potential, but it feels like it’s resting too much on its reputation without delivering the quality to back up the high rates. For the price, there are better-value options in Chau Doc. It’s worth considering for the location and river views, but don’t expect a luxury experience.

Fantastic location. We had a delicious salmon pasta lunch and the most perfect tea and coffee. Amazing presentation. Lovely pool and Mekong river view. The second time I had the carbonara but did not find much bacon inside. This was the evening meal. The rest was nice though.

The restaurant offered a delightful dining experience with a diverse menu. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a lavish getaway

Stayed as part of a group before transit to Cambodia in the morning. Very basic room at the end of a long corridor. Hot water very erratic. Varied from hot to absolutely scorching. Too dangerous to have a shower. |Dining room in the evening was full of tour groups and the food was the worst we had in Vietnam. Overcooked and tasteless. Staff disinterested and almost rude|Breakfast in the morning was total chaos. The dining room was late opening so everyone arrived at once. The staff insisted on taking every room number at the entrance and the layout for breakfast meant that total chaos ensured. The tea and coffee station was totally inadequate for dealing with groups of people and food soon ran out including basics like milk and bread and cooked food. We managed to acquire a selection of foods to share on our table but it was the worst experience of our trip. Given that most people were going to catch the 7am ferry it would be helpful if breakfast was earlier than 6am to accommodate the large numbers passing through at the same time. We felt we were being taken advantage of because of the location of the hotel in relation to the ferry. Sitting ducks comes to mind! |Not good enough !

Victoria Chau Doc is a beautiful property on the Mekong with a gorgeous pool and wonderful restaurant. The staff are pros at customer service and create a wonderful ambience for a memorable stay. The store has tasteful merchandise at great prices and the hotel spices up the experience with live traditional music and a weaving demonstration.|It was an outstanding experience to stay here. Thank you!

Great experience. The hotel is in prime location, and has a lovely restaurant, pool and even complimentary sauna and bicycles. Every staff was super attentive but I have to give a special shoot out to Tran at the reception desk. What a wonderful woman ❤️.
