The best is the free parking close to the city centre. The room was OK for the price in a city, a bit dated. Bed comfortable. Above the door is a window without curtain, so light shines in all the time. It was relatively quiet except the wind howling round the building. The worst were the kitchen towels. They smelled awful. As I was washing, I washed them as well. There was a huge TV that I did not use. I had a spa bath which I did not use. The shower head should be cleaned. As I had the windows open all the time, dirt flew in, otherwise the room was quite clean but not in the laundry or the staircase. Room service just empties the garbage bin.

AVOID - Dirty - AVOID Appalling level of cleanliness, wiping up water after shower with the foot towel resulted in two dirty brown footprints. Closer inspection revealed that what I thought was a colored pattern on the floor was filth. Then looked around closely and discovered the pattern on one bedroom wall was actually fine spider webs. Showed foot towel to reception on leaving and got "oh sorry". As others have said parking and closeness to downtown is great.

Had a last minute trip to Wellington and caught a room here for $110. The room was spacious, very clean, and had every basic thing you would need including elements and pots for cooking. It could be considered tired in some areas, but it had fresh carpet and looked totally fine in general. Effortless check-in and out. The location is great because you can walk to anywhere in the Welly CBD, and a big plus was free on-site parking which greatly increased the value of this place. Overall very impressed, and my wife and I will return here again.

We stayed as a family group and was just perfect. The owners were very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend for service and location .

What a wonderful hotel, rooms are well set out for comfort, great location located around the corner from the ever funky Cubs street. Staff are very helpful. A must stay.

Huge family suite again at this motel. Two bedrooms, a living area with a sofa & a separate sofa bed, and they also had a rollaway bed as well if you needed it. A large fully equipped kitchen with fridge & cooking facilities, a decent dining table & decent tv. The bathroom had a separate toilet to the main bath as well, which was useful for a large family.||The staff was very nice, with the cute doggy companion. THe lift was handy when taking luggage up and down, and although we did have some noisy neighbours one night, they did quieten up at midnight and we didn't have many issues with noise. We did have the top floor unit with no-one above us, which may have made a difference.||Location wise, its within walking distance to most CBD attractions, museums, restaurants etc. Although not the newest or flashest place to stay at, it was worth the money that we paid for it.

We have stayed here a couple of times now and enjoyed both occasions.|Rooms were big, clean & tidy.|Everything worked as it should.|Outside in the basement carparks were a little untidy with a bit of unwanted rubbish but nothing too much but should be cleaned.|One of those tiny cartons of UHT milk is not enough for a family of 4 either.|Location to Cuba street is excellent but make sure you ask about the shortcut through the gate onto Garrett street to save time.

Good place to stay, but could do with more cleaning. Soap dispenser in shower, and microwave button, bit had mold.
