Victoria Falls Backpackers Lodge

The Hostel grounds themselves and the tent was very clean. We just did not realize that by booking a “double room” that it was actually a tent. The provided fan was nice and kept us cool in the evening and pool kept us clean during the day.The location though is a bit outside of the town center though so you either need a car or to call a taxi to get anywhere.The restaurant onsite was okay, but it wasn’t explained to us that occasionally they have a special BBQ and you can’t order anything else from the menu. If we knew that at the time, we would have stopped at the market and self catered.But the staff was all lovely and helpful.

Victoria Falls Backpackers Lodge is situated in a convenient and accessible location, which made it easy for us to walk comfortably into Victoria Falls town. The lodge offers well-spaced and pleasant areas to relax. However, we faced some challenges with mosquitoes despite having a net. Unfortunately, parts of the mosquito net had small holes that allowed mosquitoes to get through.

Nice pool, clean rooms, great value rooms and small breakfast cafe. A bit out of town (long walk) and only able to serve food in evenings if there were enough guests.. power cut (no fan, 30 degrees) and campers car alarms going off in night deprived us of slumber.

Would highly recommend. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! The entire team were super helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay in Victoria falls magical. They helped arrange activities and gave recommendations beyond our stay. Rooms and the communal area were very comfortable.

I did not like my experience at all, unfortunately. No card payment possible. Had to scream from the gate because nobody would come greet us in the sun after ringing. Then being told ; just dial the code... We are checking in, don't know any code. Then had to pay by PayPal (?!) but they offer all paying services like restaurant, massages, spa, tours, airport transfers, but can't take cards ? Room was in open air, a lot of mosquitoes. Shower we just didn't shower it didn't look inviting at all so we showered at our next destination (the airport lounge actually). Always pushing for sales like bottles of water. Even the transport we asked for 10:30 they said well checkout is 10:00 why not take airport shuttle at this time. Little did I know that they chartered the 30$ van to put 4 of us in... Asking 13$ each. Yet another scam. Always pressure. There is a dog on premises in case you are allergic. The lady at reception wasn't very welcoming as well. Pool wasn't clean a good net would have been helpful. Braai station closed... And so so far from anything. 25 minutes walk for basic Nando's. I know it's cheap yet not worth the price.

Backpackers was good place for me and my family to stay for 2 nights. Staff and other guests were friendly respectful. The place was clean comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pool. Very affordable l recommend anyone looking for accommodation to consider Vic Falls Backpackers in Zimbabwe ❤️

Nice green place. ||Pool. ||Very kind and helpfully staff. ||Good internet. ||BBQ||TV (Sports) huge screen. ||Travelers to talk with. ||Not close to downtown ( what to do there? Only Falls), but away from helicopter noise!

Victoria falls is a place of nature infinity pools.Place of gorge swing and Zipline . There's a place for the lodge where you can get accommodation . The service was good and more welcome. This place is amazing and more attractive ........
