Victoria Harbour Ferry - Fisherman's Wharf

Water taxi! Now that’s cool and convenient. Got a ride from here to red fish blue fish for a delicious meal. Quick and saved us a good walk.

A quick and different way to get around the harbour in Victoria, BC. I walked from Chinatown to Fishermans Wharf, which was about 30 min walk. During my walk I noticed these tiny boats that were painted with a similar color scheme to a New York taxi cab, zipping around the harbour. I had eaten lunch at Fishermans Wharf and was looking for a quick, easy way back to downtown. This is where the water taxi comes into play. It was about $15 to take the taxi to any stop downtown (March 2025). I bought my ticket from someone working a small booth near the water taxi dock. It looks like you can pay thr boat operator directly, as he had a debit/ credit card machine on board. The boat operator was super friendly and chatted with us during our short journey across the harbour. He had lots of knowledge of the Victoria area. I didn't catch his name, but he's a good asset to the boat taxi industry.

We took an amazing tour of the Gorge yesterday. Dave our guide was fantastic. He was a wealth of knowledge and his story telling held you spellbound for the entire trip. Thanks so much for giving these islanders a great experience. Perfect relaxing thing to do while in Victoria.

The boats are like bathtub toys and it feels like being in a movie, not to mention it beats walking a couple miles across town.

We were on our Alaska cruise. Was so good to be back on Victoria Island. Our first time when we visited was few months before pandemic. Nothing changed much since. We took a nice walk from our pier to fisherman's wharf and took a water taxi from there. They have plenty of places to eat with nice seafood and of course pretty houses on the water. Very nice place for locals and tourists!

We came here after our dinner to enjoy the beautiful Summer sunset Majority of the shops were closed already and very few people around which are great for taking pics….

After dozens of visits to Vic and never using the service....I am sold! After a great lunch at Barb's, our pilot took us for a little journey and then dropped us at the empress. Who wants to walk when you can do this!!

This was a must take for me when I visit Victoria, but now they are WAY overpriced. 15$ for a 5 min ride is excessive and abuse. Walk instead to fisherman’s wharf…at least you will not feel bad about being ripped off.
