We had an amazing evening at the Victoria Hotel Dimboola. Our large group of 22 people were served beautiful and tasty meals in less than 30minutes of ordering. The efficient staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great pub hotel in the town where iconic Australian painter Sidney Nolan once lived and worked. Highly recommend both this place and the town for a fantastic country getaway. Upstairs accommodation is excellent, and downstairs has great vibes. The food, beers, and locals are all brilliant. There was live music one of the nights I stayed, and the whole pub feels like a movie set — which makes sense, because it once was! It was featured in Dimboola, the 1979 Australian independent film starring Max Gillies, Bruce Spence, and Chad Morgan, based on the 1969 play of the same name. Hold my beer — I’ll be back soon for more!

We were Overnighting in Dimboola so we headed to the pub for dinner. We didn’t have high expectations as country pubs can be hit or miss. This pub was a definite hit! Food was fantastic - one of the best vego lasagnas I’ve ever had and hubby’s steak was excellent. The service and atmosphere was also terrific.

Gorgeous old pub with old world decor. Sensational meals, steaks cooked to perfection and meals really had flavour. You could almost taste the love that went into them. Worth stopping for a look if you're in the area and treat yourself to a meal you won't regret. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay here.

Dinner at the Victoria Hotel was wonderful! We were lucky enough to be able to dine in "the elbow room"- it was like a step back in time! Interesting decor, comfy Chesterfield lounges and moody lighting and music, accompanied by great service! The food was divine- steaks cooked to perfection, salmon skin crispy and schnitzels generous servings. Delicious!!

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Meals were lovely. Good sized steaks tasty veggies. Went the extra mile and gave us milk to make a cuppa back at camp as the shops had shut. Would highly recommend a meal at the Victoria Hotel Dimboola.

We booked it so last minute, but the staff were very accommodating and even left the key in a safe place for us to check in post the closing hours. Although it felt a little eerie in the night that late, morning we could see how nice a property it is and how it is walkable to cafe and bakery.

Yelp
Okay, you don't really have too much of a choice in Dimboola, though you could always buy beer at the takeaway and go home, but honestly, that does happen to be pretty boring. So, you have this pub, which is rather nice. Sure, the beer selection, well, it isn't all that great, but that is sort of to be expected, especially in a small town like Dimboola. However, the service was pretty good, and they do have quite a large beer garden out the back as well. I probably should also mention that they do a decent fish & chips as well, particularly since it is the only place you can get a feed after a certain hour.
