The Hotel is perfectly located for the Metro and with a delightful boutique feel. I was greeted by Symphora who checked me in and my room at 1pm was available which was blessing. The room is spotless and feels spacious overlooking a small courtyard. Every little touch was lovely, the bath towels absolutely divine, the bed linen is wonderful, great night sleep comfortable, the toiletries were sublime, they don't sell them and I didn't take a photo. The shampoo and conditioner were spa quality my hair felt divine. After a night out I came back and Apollonia mixed me the most amazing not alcoholic ginger cocktail. Thanks to Cloe and Anski who posted cards, told me how to get to the metro etc.

A perfect hotel with very amicable and attentive employees! |We were fortunate enough to get a view of the Eiffel Tower from our room, which is styled in perfect French style and detail. ||When you arrive you step into a lovely entrance and are greeted by two friendly women who explained everything in good English. ||At breakfast, which is véry good, we were greeted by Nina. She helped us find a nice seat and our favorite food and was overall very attentive throughout the whole breakfast to make sure we had everything we need. The men who worked alongside her were the same, though I don’t have their names. Compliments to them all! ||We also got to use the fitness and sauna. The manager (I think) was very amicable to give us a little tour before we decided to book it. You can book the fitness and sauna for private use for around 45 minutes and it was a perfect way to start the day healthy and refreshed. ||Lastly, we were situated in a lovely neighborhood with many metro stations close by. ||Overall the perfect stay!

This hotel was honestly so good that I almost don’t want to share it. We had originally stayed two nights at another hotel in the 1st arrondissement, but even on a weekday it was so noisy on the 2nd floor that we barely slept. When we mentioned this at check-in, the staff kindly upgraded us to a higher, much quieter floor — such thoughtful service, and we were truly impressed. The room was clean and beautifully decorated in a modern French style — compact, but everything was new and well-equipped. The cleanliness was impeccable, and breakfast, though small, had everything we could possibly want. Every single item was delicious, and the service was excellent. We also loved the private gym and sauna — spotless, functional, and perfect for starting our mornings refreshed. The location was amazing too — it felt completely safe and local, surrounded by bakeries, main roads, and boutique fashion stores all within a 5–10 minute walk. If we ever come back to Paris, we’ll definitely stay here again — no doubt about it.

Google
We really enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Palace Hotel. The room was small, as expected in Paris, but it was perfect for us, very clean, thoughtfully decorated, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a real difference. The location is excellent if you want to explore the city. Easy to get around, and the neighbourhood feels lively without being overwhelming. We’d happily stay here again.

Google
What can I say about this hotel? One word comes to mind ‘magnificent!’ We have just arrived back in the UK after the most magical 4 night stay here. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond on our stay. The breakfast was outstanding, the views were breathtaking from our balcony. We didn’t want to leave. The hotel and everyone who works here have left a lasting impression on me and my now fiancé (he said yes! I never managed to tell the staff as we were in a hurry to leave. They put together a little surprise for us in our room when we headed back to the hotel after the proposal) Memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you so much for our stay, we will be coming back and will 100% recommend people to stay here if anyone is thinking of a trip to Paris. Merci beaucoup!

Google
This was a lovely hotel. It was our first time staying here. The room was stunning. Our only requirement was a quiet room, so when we arrived, we were pleased to learn that we were given a top-floor room overlooking the courtyard (not the street), and it was so quiet; it was heavenly. The decor was very chic and the room was clean. The breakfast was lovely (they had a bit of everything (hot, cold, etc), but it's mostly a traditional bakery breakfast, which I enjoyed). The front desk staff were lovely. And I'd like to give a special shout-out to Nina in the breakfast room, who went above and beyond every morning for us. (Thank you, Nina, for the big glass of water!!)

Peggy D.

Google
An amazing hotel with wonderful staff. Rooms are generously proportioned, housekeeping is excellent, and services are top notch. Nina does an outstanding job with breakfast and goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you want. Tom at the front desk is an absolute treasure--he made our dinner reservations and helped with logistics in so many ways, always with professionalism and courtesy. And Apollonia at the James Bar made our trip special indeed. Her friendliness and congeniality had us looking forward to the cocktail hour each evening of our visit. Special thanks to her for making us so comfortable.

Google
I must say I had the best experience in this hotel. Everyone was so welcoming, felt like home. We landed in the morning, and was extremely tired - we understand that normally check in is at 3pm but we tried our luck if we could check in earlier because I felt so sick after a 19hr journey and they managed to get us to check in early. Room is super clean, area is super safe. All stuff kept in the room were also safe. A place to call home in Paris, already can’t wait to be back. Just want to thank the whole team for making us feel at home.

Yelp
Our third time staying here at Victoria Palace. We checked in today and Tom was absolutely amazing attentive excellent customer service. We absolutely love this boutique hotel located in central area close to everything. Looking forward to a beautiful week here celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary.

Yelp
Superb! The staff, room, location and amenities are all on point. More than once we were offered assistance and staff went above and beyond. This is my favorite hotel I've ever visited internationally. And it was highly recommended by friends who have stayed there as well

Yelp
Friendly, warm, professional staff in a clean, aromatic, charming hotel near the Saint Placide Metro station. The staff speak excellent English, the housekeeping staff are very fast and efficient, and the breakfast buffets are outstanding, far beyond anything you'd normally find in Paris. There are so many choices in pastries, juices, fruit, yogurt, eggs, coffees, the list is endless. The hotel bartenders were polite and knowledgeable and likeable. There is a grocery store literally one hundred feet from the hotel front door, offering quite a selection of sandwiches, sodas, juices, etc. 1 minor complaint: as noted elsewhere many times, the classic room is quite small, though the bathroom is nice and compact, but there is nowhere to open your suitcase aside from the bed. There is a small closet/bookcase for small items. The fridge and Nespresso coffeemaker were much appreciated. 1 major complaint: avoid rooms on the front of the hotel, or at least the lower rooms on the front, because the cafe directly across the street remains lively and loud into the small hours, making it difficult to sleep before 1am.

Yelp
This is a beautifully renovated hotel near Gare Montparnasse, in the 6th arrondissement. Pros -friendly staff -lovely decor -location, location -small balcony, but overlooks other hotel guest's rooms -beautiful garden terrace Cons -room was warm at times. Thermostat was centrally controlled. We were offered a fan. We chose to open the window periodically. -the two small pillows should have been regular size -bad lighting in the bathroom. Spot light above the sink cast a shadow. -no change given for euros. Had to get change at corner store to tip housekeeping. -breakfast had a lot of variety, but nothing made to order. Overall, it was a refreshing change from the Marriott property we were just coming from on the right bank.

Yelp
Great location near metro and Latin quarter. Very nicely decorated and modern hotel but room make up service was not great at that price you expect better. They did not refill our teas or coffee and even though we put towels on floor per their instructions to get new ones they just picked them up and hung them again on one of our nights.

Yelp
During a 4 day trip to Paris we stayed at Victoria Palace and it was amazing! The hotel is cozy, the staff is friendly and the room was the perfect size and clean. The location is perfect! There is a metro station 5 minutes from the hotel as well as lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Victoria B.

Yelp
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The surrounding area was nice and didn't feel too touristy. You have to book the gym in advance, but the equipment is good and it wasn't too busy. There is almost no counter space in the bathroom. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I'm surprised at all the great reviews for. the Victoria Palace, but "to each his own" I had reservations a small, charming hotel which I always stay at when in Paris, but I'd made a mistake with my reservations and booked my lovely hotel until the 27th of June, rather than the 28th . We needed a hotel for that one night. It was fashion week and the one hotel we called had a room available. It was the Victoria Palace We walked into the hotel and a sweet perfume floated through the air. After being in the lobby the scent was still there, but we were surprised tt they wouldn't have thought of people who might have allergy sensitivity to fragrance. We had about 4 suitcases and we asked if the porter could bring them to our room. This is the part of my review that's funny and not funny. The man at the desk said "we don't have a porter". We didnt know whether to laugh or cry, but my traveling companion got the trolley and pushed it into the elevator to take our suitcases to our room. (can't stop laughing/ crying The room was nice enough and I must say the beds were comfortable. Thank goodness. That's my complements to the Victoria Palace, and yes, sleep is important when one is traveling. I'm aware that there is always one bad review on Yelp among the four and five star reviews. I hope mine helps. As I said earlier. "to each his own". I just didnt like this hotel, but we'll be laughing for a while about the no porter situation. P.S The one fantastic experience there was the young bartender Olivier. We didn't; drink but he was so much fun to talk to, about his travels all over the world, that he had an MBA in psychology, and a great guy all around.

Yelp
Beautiful gorgeous hotel. The ceilings were high the room was huge with big windows to court yard. The place is super clean and has a beautiful bar down stairs. The art on walls was nice. The whole interior was really pretty. People who worked there were so nice and helpful. Place is located 25 minute walk to Eiffel Tower and shopping area cafe s right up the block. If staying in Paris definitely recommend to get this hotel. Price is definitely worth the room and was right.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor & stay here. This is a classic French hotel filed w all the timeless art & romance you'd expect. Our room was spacious which is priceless in itself & huge bathroom. This is not common in Paris. A big plus is it's walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, just under half an hour. Amazing food options right outside the front doors. We will stay here again on our next trip to Paris & so should you.

Yelp
After the disastrous hotel stay in London we were petrified to stay in Paris. We were extremely pleasantly surprised to find this gorgeous 17th century style hotel on a quiet block right if a major Paris shopping street. The hotel is clean with excellent service, and delicious breakfast. Exhausted from a long day waking through if the city of lovers, we ordered baguettes sandwich for room service. I don't know where they get their baggett, but I'm still dremaong about it. The hotel is near major transportation, but the quiet street makes your sleep supper quiet. The room and bathroom was excellent size. Honestly, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris. There is something romantic about this hotel, and it really made our trip much better. I am dreaming of coming back to Paris, and to this hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is a Parisian gem, the sort of place you imagine when you imagine a Parisian hotel. Rooms are beautifully decorated, with wrought iron balconies overlooking a winding side street, and luxurious bathrooms with classic details. All the staff is young, friendly and bilingual (at least), and breakfast is a delightful mix of croissants, cheeses, charcuterie and more. Staff is always helpful and cheerful. You're also very close to the nightlife of St Germain-des-Pres, though the immediate neighborhood holds wonderful surprises as well. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat if only I could get someone to take me back.
google avatar

Andrew O.

Yelp
I was completely satisfied with the service and the very roomy accommodations. Charles at the front desk is a gem, and David is great behind the bar. The only reason they don't get the 5th star is they are a little off the beaten track in the Montparnasse area. Kind of like going to Manhattan and staying in Murray Hill. Not absolutely perfect but not too shabby either.
google avatar

Melisa M.

Yelp
I have not even checked out but I felt compelled to write a review. This little gem of a hotel on the Left Bank will literally become my home away from home. Service has been exceptional, the room is very large and nicely appointed in a traditional Parisian style. I will most definitely be back

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while in Paris. The hotel was certainly beautiful, as were our rooms. The front desk staff were not very friendly, but they were helpful. The bar staff were much friendlier. My only complaints about the hotel were that the elevator kept breaking and the bed. This seems to be a problem in Europe though. They don't have real King size beds, so they push two twins together. Every night I'd wind up in the crack between the two which was very uncomfortable. They needed to put some sort of featherbed on top to compensate and make it softer. The location was very convenient and you could walk to many brasseries, sights, and the subway.

Dom D.

Yelp
Very nice hotel Loved the deco Very clean Bed are confortable The only negative part is the shower curtain. First it is too small and water is going all over the bathroom. Second it sticks on your skin during the shower. Honestly upgrade your shower curtains and everything will be great

Yelp
My wife and I just stayed here for our 20th. Tucked away on a quiet and cozy street, this hotel eschews the tourist vibe and embraces a charming, old world Parisian vibe. The service was sublime, the vibe boutique. If modern is what you want, this ain't it. This hotel has been around since the 1920s and has hosted a slew of writers from James Joyce to the great, yet oft-forgotten, Katherine Mansfield (she wrote her classic story "The Fly" here in 1922 in room 610. Our room was remarkably spacious and quiet. Our windows opened up to the courtyard. Situated in the Left Bank, the shopping was local, mostly indie (save for a few chains on the main drags) and quite lively at night without being overly obnoxious. The hotel is also very close to the Saint Placide Metro stop and wonderful pastry shops and cafes. We walked easily to Luxenblkurg Gardens and then on to the Seine and Notre Dame. One of the best parts of the hotel for me was the cocktail bar, just off the lobby. The bartender, David, from Hong Kong, has worked here for twelve years. He wears a white dinner jacket and black bow-tie. He plays an a savvy and eclectic mix of electronica, 80s pop, American roots country, Paris cafe jazz and much more. He makes a spectacular Manhattan and is quite fun to chat with. We just LOVED this hotel. Five stars on par with the Four Seasons? No. But an assured four and a half with wonderful service, a charming French vibe, wonderful history, and a staff par excellence. We will be back!!

Yelp
This vacation consisted of Barcelona, Paris, and London. This hotel was the best of the three. Large room, good sized bathroom, attentive service, great location. Buffet service is your typical breakfast buffet, king bed is two twins put together. The lady that checked us in was super nice, turn down service with chocolate :D My Two Cents: Very enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Fantastic little hotel in Paris in a great neighborhood! Loved all the Victorian decoration and all of the faux finish marble another painting. Room was sumptuous with wonderful wallpaper and a beautiful marble bathroom. Everyone who works there is fabulous and it had a cute little bar and lounge with victorian Furniture

Yelp
Such a divine place to call home...I have stayed here many times and You simply fall in love with the staff, service, beautiful rooms, bar.. And concierge MARK.....he is a true jewel in this picture... The most welcoming part is gorgeous dining room for breakfast... Have stayed all over Paris and the Big Hotels are like empty barns compared To this spectacular place. You will not be disappointed. J'Adore

Yelp
Simply put- a wonderful hotel! Staff is highly accommodating, beautiful large suite with great air conditioning, quiet room, lovely breakfast buffet And easy access to the Metro and bus. Would highly recommend it for your next stay in Paris!

A D.

Yelp
First of all, this is not five star, and should not be classified as such. I figured it would be ok, as rooms are clean, and staff is helpful and nice. Unfortunately, the hotel owner interacted in an unprofessional and unacceptable manner, and I would therefore not recommend this hotel. Really left a bad taste in our mouths. Go somewhere else.

James E.

Yelp
After 11 visits to Paris, this hotel was our favorite by far. But let's start with the #1 reason: This is a PARIS HOTEL THAT WELCOMES (no, really likes) KIDS. My son was greeted with a cornet of gifts and a candy plus a hardcover book to learn French which was dedicated to him by the front desk. The hotel is beautiful. The location is solid, on a small street in the lower sixth between the Rue Vaurigard and Rue de Rennes so it is still quiet enough and near three different metro stops, several busses, and easy walking to Jardin du Luxembourg or shopping the the sixth (very close to Bon Marche and the smart 6e) as well as TONS of great food and bakeries which the hotel knows very very well from their customized shopping guides and maps. The junior suite room was HUGE and they set up a bed for our kid at no extra charge. The bathroom was gigantic and all new with a separate WC. The front desk was very helpful and even nice, making reservations and calling cabs. The room included breakfast which was perfectly okay and generous as the French do not eat big breakfasts so it catered to foreign tastes. The coffee was great as was the hot chocolate. I recommend going to one of the great bakeries (Kayser or Polaine etc) nearby and eating it by ordering the coffee etc up to your room which they will do at no extra charge. We paid 360e a night which includes everything we asked for (and breakfast) but wifi. The 360 makes it pricey by US standards but not by Paris standards especially given the size and location -- remember all restaurants and hotel prices in Paris include tax and service. We will be back for EVERY visit.

Jerry H.

Yelp
This small hotel has only 60 rooms & no restaurant but is delightful. The rooms, lobby, & bar have been tastefully renovated. Room service is available 24 hours daily and there is a bar menu. There are many good restaurants nearby. Our room #106 was very nice & bed really comfortable. The staff were nice and informative. I never know what to expect in Paris. This was a pleasant experience!

Jeanne B.

Yelp
We spent a week at this wonderful hotel. Our room was very large and beautiful. The hotel staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to help us with everything from making a dinner reservation to making sure that we were happy and comfortable. If we go to Paris again, we will stay at the Victoria Palace. It is close to many of the places we wanted to see since it is on the left bank. It is also close to 3 Metro stops.
google avatar

Clay M.

Yelp
The Victoria Palace exceeding every expectation I had. Breakfast was superb and the staff could not have been more professional in every way. I highly, highly recommend this hotel.
google avatar

Peggy G.

Yelp
I have stayed twice in this hotel. In 2008, I was there 5 nights with my husband and again in 2010 for a week with my husband and daughter and a friend of hers. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The rooms are beautiful, the hotel staff both friendly and helpful and the breakfast was always tasty. My husband and I are planning on a return trip to Paris in September 2012 and will be staying there again.

Jay M.

Yelp
The best part about this hotel isn't the huge, well appointed, rooms. It's the impeccable and attentive service. The staff welcomes you like a member of the family and do everything they can to make your visit memorable. The rooms, however, are fantastic. They're huge by Paris standards and have large bathrooms as well. Will definitely look to stay at the Victoria Palace again.

Mark C.

Yelp
My wife and I just spent 8 days in Paris staying at Victoria Palace and it was and outstanding experience. The staff was professional, engaging, and welcoming. They were happy to speak English or give me a chance to use my horrible skills in French. The bonus is that this is not a tourist hotel, but a neighborhood gem that ins within easy walking distance of Metro and bus lines. We will recommend it and will definitely be back.

Susan H.

Yelp
We stayed there for four nights in November and had a lovely time. Great american breakfast included. The staff was kind. The little bar in the lobby was a great place to hang out after a day of walking. Because we had an early flight on our final day, the staff made an early breakfast and coffee just for us. Also near Luxembourg Gardens, Gertrude Stein, Bon Marche, metro. Hey it's Paris! Definitely returning.
