Victoria Square

We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our room with a thorough explanation of everything on offer. The room was very nice, a comfortable 4 poster bed with quality linen. The building is beautiful, a taste of Victorian luxury. All the staff are very polite and friendly and we enjoyed a good breakfast the following morning. |The area was very pretty and very peaceful and just a short walk to town. |I particularly liked that the hotel support local businesses, all the drinks on offer were local brews! |I really liked this quality hotel and would certainly return.

A lovely boutique hotel in a central location to explore Stirling on foot with good transport links and motorways close-by. The spotless rooms were of a high standard and nicely decorated. The hotel had a homily yet upmarket feel especially for the reasonable price. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We were on the bottom floor and could hear staff in the morning but they were very quiet, it would be unlikely to wake people up. The restaurant was lovely and the food plentiful and of a very high standard for both the tasting menu and breakfast. As a vegetarian I found a good range of options were available. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch in December.

Large comfortable room with stunning views. Very close to the city centre, but off the main areas. Very quiet and pretty part of town. ||Room very well fitted out, roll top bath in the bathroom, lovely soft bathrobes provided. But teeny thing, some body lotion and conditioner in the bathroom would have been good. (Expected in a 5* hotel.)||Food outstanding. Staff outstanding. ||Would recommend, will return.

There aren’t the proper words to express how much we enjoyed our stay. We had a midweek break to celebrate a birthday. We were so glad we picked here. Upon arrival the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We got a rundown of places to see and do with a map of the locations. The room was comfortable with all the amenities including a small decanter of sherry which was a welcome surprise. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble when a request was made which was so nice. The lounge was beautiful and comfortable especially with the log burning stove which made it very cosy to spend some time with a drink. We liked this place so much we booked an extra night. With a 10 minute walk into the centre it’s an excellent location for the best of both worlds of convenience and price and quiet.

We had a huge room on the ground floor which was warm, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is a beautiful old house in a quiet part of town. Staff are friendly and welcoming and there’s a lovely lounge that serves drinks in front of a roaring log fire for cold days!! We didn’t get chance to eat in the restaurant but breakfast was delicious. 5minutes walk into the centre, a car park and ample on street too. Would definitely stay again when next in beautiful Stirling.

We have stayed at Victoria Square several times over the years and rate it as one of our favourite places for a mid week break.|The accommodation is beautifully decorated and the rooms spacious and well appointed. Rooms 4 and 5 have a view over a small area of parkland surrounded by mature trees and large period dwellings.|The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the breakfasts delicious and nutritious. |The location is only 10 minutes walk or so to the castle or town centre yet retains it's Victoria character and air of opulence. |Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily reached by short road or rail journeys.

The hospitality was excellent from start to finish. ||The staff were excellent from arrival - taking the time to explain everything and the complimentary wee Sherry decanter was a nice touch. ||Room was lovely, comfortable and, for a beautiful old house, very warm. ||Breakfast was lovely, staff very attentive in a cracking room. ||Check out simple as it should be.

Please note: According to them they are a 5 star restaurant with rooms. NOT a 5 star hotel. This is a big distinction! Someone needs to fix this in google. I would call these rooms 3 star at best. Dusty furniture, black mold in the shower, no temperature controls for the rooms. Just want you to know what you're actually getting for your money. The room was very pretty to look at. The breakfast was fine. It's easy walking distance to the castle.
