"To the untrained eye, Jetty 1 is just another nondescript building on the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Look more closely, however, and you’ll see a small board next to the entrance, explaining that the building served as a passageway for everyone traveling to and from Robben Island during apartheid. For the prisoners, staff, and wardens, this was the last place they could see Cape Town before their ferry pulled away from the mainland and the city disappeared into the dark silhouette of Table Mountain. Now a small museum, Jetty 1 houses information about the history of Robben Island, both before and after apartheid. It’s not typically crowded, so visitors can explore at their own pace and perhaps even sit alone inside the replica of a holding cell. Separate from the Robben Island Exhibition and Information Center, Jetty 1 is a must-see if you don’t have time to do the full Robben Island tour but are still curious about this time in Cape Town’s history. It’s also entirely indoors, so if you’ve visiting in the winter or the weather isn’t nice enough to visit Robben Island, it’s the next best thing. Entrance is free."
Love the V&A Waterfront. There was so much to do here and you will be surprised almost everytime you come by. There is a lot more than just shopping and the boat rides are not too outrageously expensive. Loads of parking and you can walk the whole area. There is a bunch of wonderful flavours around and remember to try the market area where there are a great variety of hand made crafts waiting for you.

As a shopping center it has nothing spectacular. Instead of this, it's pretty narrow in the interior. It has all the major brands, as any shopping center. The beautiful part is that it has exits to the harbour and the V&A Waterfront, and the building itself is nice.

Love this place out of season otherwise it's just too busy for my liking. Main reason I go there is to see my band family, the Nelson Mandela Artillery Pipes and Drums at Mitchell's Scottish Ale House every Saturday at 4pm - a must see!!!

Exciting place to be just before the festive season. Lots of activity, very busy. I am not a mall person, so that's about all I can contribute for now. Just come prepared for a cosmopolitan experience, lots and lots of people, and patience for the queues everywhere....the bathroom facilities are a nightmare (very busy).

I recently visited the Victoria Wharf Shopping mall and was thoroughly impressed! The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the modern and sleek architecture. The mall offers a vast array of stores, from high-end fashion boutiques to affordable retailers, ensuring there's something for everyone. The food court is equally impressive, with a diverse range of cuisines to satisfy any craving, kids are not left out, a wide range of candy and chocolates to choose from. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a great destination for families, friends, and solo shoppers alike. The mall also has a playground for kids and adults as a whole. The clean and well-maintained facilities only add to the overall excellent experience. I recommend
