Our stay at Victoria Xiengthong Palace was perfect. We were picked up from the airport with no problem and upon arrival, we found out that we had been upgraded to the top-tier room! It was a very nice two-level space with a living room, hot tub room, bedroom, large bathroom, and balcony. The air conditioning worked great too! The included breakfast was an amazing all-you-can-eat buffet. As a large American, I was very pleased with the options. The hotel is located fairly centrally. It was a short walk to the docks where all our river cruises started and ended, and the tourist part of town is also a medium walk away. On our last day the staff were gracious enough to hold our bags until after our day excursion and scheduled a shuttle to the airport for us. All in all, it was a great experience. Book it now!

My daughter and I joined the cooking class. Sous chef was so great. She took us to the morning market helped us to understand Laos authentic food ingredients. Then we went to the hotel restaurant and she showed us how to cook Lao food. We learned Lao appetizer , cabbage wrap main dish chicken salad and pork meat ball and mushroom soup with sticky rice. Lastly dessert rice cake in coconut milk .we had a so amazing time enjoying eating what we made.

Loved this hotel so much have returned to enjoy the experience again. Great location and set in lush tropical gardens. It is walking distance to many local restaurants and the monastry is close by.Staff are very helpful, rooms are large and include balconies looking over the gardens. Alamea restaurant serves delicious meals and offers a range of cocktails. Hotel services include excursions, films in the restaurant and river cruises. This hotel is a "must"for visitors to Luang Prabang.

I recently stayed at Victoria Xiengthong Palace and had an unforgettable experience. The location is unbeatable, right next to the stunning Wat Xiengthong temple and a short walk from the bustling night market. The rooms are spacious and elegantly designed, blending traditional Lao charm with modern comfort. I loved waking up to views of the Mekong River and relaxing on my private terrace.||The staff went above and beyond to make my stay special. From warm welcomes with refreshing towels to attentive service throughout my stay, they truly embody hospitality. The breakfast each morning was a delightful mix of Western and Asian options, fresh and beautifully presented. This hotel is perfect for those seeking tranquility and a cultural experience in the heart of Luang Prabang. I highly recommend Victoria Xiengthong Palace for anyone looking to indulge in luxury while experiencing the authentic beauty of Laos.

Great experience - beautiful hotel in a nice location. A few blocks outside of the hustle and bustle of Luang Prabang, but an easy 5-minute walk to the main drag. Rooms were well appointed, but most importantly the staff were superb. Always happy to recommend activities, help us book transfers, and ask how we were doing. Good breakfast with a variety of options (western and Lao) on a beautiful patio. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The staff are welcoming and super helpful and the hotel is a delight. Great facilities and services, the Mekong cruise at sunset was a particular delight but everything about the stay was comfortable and relaxing. The hotel and grounds are kept in an immaculate state of cleanliness and tidiness as was the room we stayed in.

The hotel is in the perfect location, sitting on the Mekong & also walking distance to the heart of Luang Prabang. You can rent bicycles to explore town if you’d like. ||All the staff here are amazing, everyone is super friendly & helpful. They always greet you with a smile. When I checked in, the receptionist gave me a map & showed me the top spots to visit. ||The rooms are all in separate “blocks”, my room was on top of the reception (Lavender Suite - I think the room number was 155 or 145). The room & balcony was very big. The highlight of the room was the view of the Alms Giving (not the main busy one). I woke up early 1 morning & witness a more intimate Alms Giving direct from my balcony. ||The food at the hotel is OK. I had breakfast included & ordered room service, both were OK (nothing special). ||There are a few areas for improvement. |The WiFi here is horrible. I’m not sure if it was because of my room location but the WiFi was un-usable, I ended up using my data for the duration of my stay. While I have no complains about the room, the bathroom (shower door specifically) needs fixing. Every time I finished showering, one section of the bathroom (outside of the shower) would flood. It would also be nice to have more variety of cooked food at breakfast. The labelling should also be more clearer (there was a dish with a “stir fried noodles with pork or chicken” - does it contain both? Does it only contain pork? What is it?)||Overall, I really really enjoyed my stay here. This was my favourite hotel in Laos. I would 100% recommend.

Located beside the Mekong River at the end of the Luang Prabang Peninsula, so it is very quiet but still an easy walk into town.||Architecture is traditional Lao given that it was once the Prince's palace. Amenities are modern and work very well, rooms are comfortable with nice balconies.||Staff are very friendly and service is great. The Alamea restaurant serves excellent food. For a traditional Lao breakfast, try Khao Soi noodles.||All in all the Victoria Xiengthong has our highest recommendation, which is why we have come back.
