Victoria Xiengthong Palace

Our recent stay at Victoria Xiengthong Palace was simply magnificent, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and filled with exceptional service. We were met directly at the airport by the hotel's complimentary shuttle, a thoughtful and welcoming gesture that set the tone for our entire visit. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating throughout our stay, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Our villa room was exceptionally spacious and beautifully appointed, providing a true sense of luxury. We especially loved our private balcony, which offered a tranquil spot to relax and take in the serene surroundings. One of the highlights of our trip was the hotel's sunset cruise on the Mekong River. This experience was truly unforgettable, offering breathtaking views as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was a perfect, peaceful moment we will cherish. The breakfast was another standout, with a delicious and varied selection that easily met our expectations. It was the perfect way to start each day.

The hotel is located in an unbeatable spot—right next to the iconic Wat Xieng Thong and just a short walk from the Mekong River and night market. Yet, it feels like a quiet, hidden sanctuary with a sense of royal heritage.||||The rooms are beautifully designed with a blend of traditional Lao architecture and modern comforts. Ours had a lovely garden view and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved waking up early to see the morning alms-giving ceremony just steps from the hotel.||||The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind—always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and we enjoyed relaxing in the peaceful courtyard in the afternoons.||||If you're looking for a stay that blends history, culture, and comfort in Luang Prabang, this is the place. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely return!

“Great hotel facing the river!” The hotel was very clean and staffs were friendly. It is a great location as only few minutes walk to the night market and food area. Definitely recommended for stay in Luang Prabang.

10/10 for everything! All of the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I called the front desk for help opening my balcony door and someone was already at my room within one minute. Their breakfast is delicious with a beautiful river view. They provide fresh water to refill your water bottle. Location is perfect right in the middle of the town walking distance to everything. Room spacious and nice. I would stay here again!!

Good location , calm. Good neighborhood with many good restaurant. Room is spatial but a bit dark by closing the shutter. For those who like the traditional building , the hotel is the answer. It's safe and peaceful. feel like home, I would certainly revisit if I'm back to LPB again.

The location beside the Mekong and near the revered Wat Xiengthong could not be more ideal, offering both tranquility and cultural richness. The staff go above and beyond with genuine care, making every guest feel not only welcomed but truly at home. Staying here feels like stepping into a graceful chapter of Luang Prabang’s heritage, wrapped in comfort and elegance.

This hotel is an incredible spot in this village which is quite touristic and local experiences are valuable. The staff is always on everything and will provide advise on different activities. Attention to little details both in the rooms and common zones are unique. Cleanliness of the facilities, restaurant and common areas is 10/10.

Fantastic hotel at the quieter end of the peninsular (doab). Overlooks the Mekong giving a lovely view from the restaurant or your balcony if you are so lucky and there is often a cooling breeze coming off the river. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, at the restaurant and Reception. They will organise your and cars for you making life very easy. It was my birthday when we stayed and chef made me a personal birthday cake. We were also fortunate to be upgraded to the King's suite which is as swanky as it sounds.
