13 Comfortable Bras For Traveling, Working Out, and More

"What the Lively bra is to bralettes, Girlfriend’s Paloma bra is to crop tops. It's stretchy and fits more like a tank top than a traditional bra, with thin-ish racerback straps. It really holds your chest in place, no matter your size, and is thin enough to wear under a shirt, but opaque enough to wear on its own."

Nothing like getting treated like you are a peasant when shopping for underwear! Me and my best friend and her daughter were shopping trying to get some panties. They had a deal by 10 for $40. We were looking through the underwear section and there were three girls that worked there that wouldn’t even hardly get out of our way to let us look through the drawers. Then another one of the girls that worked there came up and told the other 2 girl oh “pantie warriors” after she made that comment, we still continue to try to find underwear in our sizes. The girls didn’t even seem to want to get out of our way to allow us to shop. They seemed so worried that we were gonna mess things up. As my best friend moved to the last drawer, the girls told her can you just let us know what panties you wanna look at because we are trying to send a picture to corporate. I’m sorry that I am bothering you and trying to spend some money in your store. At that moment we all threw our panties down and walked out. We all 3 were going to buy but the way they made us feel we just felt it was our next to spend our money somewhere else. Clearly, we were not wanted there!

It’s been said that individuals generally only leave reviews one of two times-when it’s a really bad experience or when it’s a really good experience. Thankfully, this morning, 7/11, was a very good experience. I went into this location after having shopped online for VS bras and found they were too small. Both ladies on the sales floor (one lady with blonde hair and glasses, the other with black hair and tattoos) were both very helpful. Just when I thought “customer service” was dead! They both found the correct sizes for me and explained why (even checked on me in the dressing room). Instead of shopping at the website, I will actually go into the store because of these ladies today! I have managed several retail stores in the past, so I know what I’m talking about! 🙂👍

VS's new motto: if you ain't skinny, you ain't worth it! every. Single. Time. I come in here i am greeted with snotty, stuck up, entitled employees. Help is practically a luxury service only reserved for ladies who walk through the door looking like they have money. News flash, not everyone who has money to spend in your store looks like they are a CEO. There's never anyone at the fitting rooms either, and if you ask for one you better hope you have 30 mins to spare because they're too worried gossiping next to the lingerie. On top of that, I know my size and also what sizes typically dont work at VS or pink, and EVERY time i come in they recommend a 34DD because its the "sister size" of a 32DDD. A very quick, simple search of Google tells me that while, yes, they are sister sizes and can hold the same breast volume, the fits are different and for different body shapes. So, I say again, I do not like 34DD. Yesterday I went into this store because it's my anniversary on Sunday. I was super excited to pamper myself for this, but I couldn't at this store. I was looking for a strapless bra and some underwear to go with my dress. I can really only shop at places like this because of my size and i dont like to purchase bras unless i can try them on. Oher places don't normally carry my size. I couldn't find my size in the bras that I wanted so I gave up because there was no one around that I could ask for help and went to go check out with the one pair of panties that I found that I liked. At the register, the girl asked me if I found everything okay. And I said "no you guys don't have my size." She responded with "which size?" and when I told her she gave me the same exact spiel about the sister sizes. I calmly explained to her that I don't like the fit in the field of a 34DD so I will pass. Instead of simply leaving me alone, and instead of allowing me to check out and leave, she started arguing with me.. "Well they're the same so it would fit if you're a 32DDD." So I once again told her that I had tried that size many times and I still didn't like any of the bras that were in that size. This is a common reoccurance when I go in there, every single employee always knows better (apparently). As far as I'm concerned, the motto is the customer is always right in matters of taste.... but not at VS. Don't bother bringing your business here unless you look like one of their models, because I see them treat skinny women with small boobs with the utmost respect. That's not me being rude to the customers, that's me making an observation from the countless times I have been belittled and treated like trash by the employees. Save yourself the headache and go to Soma, they will spend 30+ minutes from the moment you walk in to make sure your bra fits perfectly. Plus, their bras are way higher quality and last much longer (and they are way more cute IMO)

I went here and they were obviously short handed but the girls were all sweet. Then I notice a well dressed woman way off to the side fiddling with panties. She obviously worked there. I asked one of the girls, is that your store manager. She quietly said yes. I could tell because she went so far out of her way to not have to help any customers it was obvious she thought she was to good to wait on customers. Having been a manager I would never ask my people to do anything I wouldn't do myself. Not Ms Thang. Your best bet is to always remember that without customers like me you wouldn't have a job!!

The Victoria Secret in the Cordova mall in Pensacola FL has the snobbiest store manager I've ever seen. Having been a store manager at Dillard's I can say I've never asked my employees to do anything I wouldn't do myself. Not Ms thang. She stood in a corner fiddling with panties while her girls obviously short handed ran around like crazy. She went out of her way to avoid me so she wouldn't have to work. Shame.

Lisa and McKenzie helped me today from a bra fitting, to finding perfume. Honestly I don’t shop here much, but now I will be recommending this location to everyone I know. I felt so seen, heard, helped, and it was so organic, it didn’t feel like they looked at customers like sales, just like they genuinely loved their job and everyone they were interacting with. I even called to send compliments up to the manager. It really made my day. Best experience I’ve ever had!!

No back-seamed cotton/modal undies in the store. Cotton back-seams are online, but not differentiated well. No cotton ruched-back undies in store or online.

Google
Customer service is good however they never open on time. We waited 10 minutes pass the opening time and a few people waiting said it's normal for the store to open late. When they did open, no one apologized or offered a "clean up" phrase. They all went straight into their sales pitch. It was definitely a turn off. It's unfortunate because many of their sales people are great at what they do.

Yelp
This review is from my experience at this store during late September 2017. The bra they sold me looked like someone had worn it already. They measured me WRONG! The girls were nice, but when the measure you wrong and sell you the wrong bra size it's extremely frustrating. I ended up at the Victoria's Secret in Destin, FL. The manager there was super sweet, made me feel comfortable, remeasured me and gave me my CORRECT size bra. I won't be back to the Pensacola store.

Yelp
This location was recently renonvated and is now a bigger store area. Nice dim lighting for a sensual feel. Good display of items. Flat screen wall monitor for viewing VS ads or runway shows. Courteous workers.

Yelp
I know it is Covid, but the majority of stores in the mall have the dressing rooms open. I came in shopping yesterday and was stopped outside the door due to capacity. While waiting there right next to the VS employee, there was no sign or mention that dressing rooms were closed. The dressing room is more on the interior of the building, so by the time I noticed it was closed it was too late. I had planned on buying 6-8 bras so I had about 15 in my hand to try on. I finally saw an employee and she approached me aggressively stating the dressing rooms were closed. I told her that I just realized that when I walked by the dressing room and said "what a nightmare," because I realized I had a bunch of bras in my hand that I was unable to try on. She was very rude and said "yeah, that's a total nightmare," insinuating that I had really inconvenienced her. I suggested the attendant monitoring people coming in could easily inform people, along with a large sign. It was just a really terrible experience because I was already disappointed and she made a point to make me feel terrible about it. Menopause or not liking your job is no excuse to treat your customers like this. It's hard to find employees right now, but I would rather have less help than someone with a terrible attitude who thinks it's ok to treat customers with disrespect.

Yelp
I hate to write a bad review, but the customer service and the in-store selection is horrendous at this store. I came in the store on the hunt for a corset to wear under my bridal gown. I did a quick walk through of the store and seen nothing of the sort. I then was sidetracked and started looking at the 5 for $25 Pink panty table. I was looking at the styles and flipping though the panties on the table top, and an associate rudely yelled at me and said all the panties were a medium. I was not pulling them out and messing the display up by any means so I don't understand the brash attitude I got or perhaps the assumption I wasn't looking for a medium. Kind of embarrassed, I continued looking and then walked over to the same associate and said "excuse me." She did not acknowledge my presence or even look up, but I proceeded to talk anyways and asked her if they had corsets or some kind of shape wear. Without looking up she snapped no. Quite irritated by this point I walked out. I don't understand the crappy attitude the ladies in this store portray. Not one of them had a smile on their face. At least be courteous to your potential customers and attempt to help them out. Being that VS is a lingerie type store, I don't understand why something of the corset sort isn't carried in-store. The same with the bathing suit selection (a whole different issue). As for myself (and I'd imagine most women), I like to try these items on in person rather than purchasing it online hoping it will fit.

Yelp
I would give this store 0 stars if I could honestly. Rude employees, lack of sizes and decent stock of merchandise, no customer service what so ever and not even a greeting or offer for help. We get to the front desk and had a sales person argue for 5 minutes over a coupon that was valid and not out of date. I am honestly so sick of the poor customer service this whole company has in general, I've asked my husband to close his credit card and not buy me anything from there any more. I loved this store 15 years+ in the past, but the current ill fitting bras, poor quality, and obvious changes in the merchandise, along with the horrible customer service l, has convinced me to find somewhere else to shop completely. I'm done with Victoria's Secret and I see this company filing bankruptcy in the future if they don't make some serious changes.

Yelp
The 3 stars are for cleanliness and organization. However, 2 stars down because of the overt customer service. Yes, it's nice to be sized and to be asked if you're doing ok a couple of times but here that is just not the case. I could not simply relax and shop. I have purchased substantial amounts in the past (not at this location) and have had an enjoyable experience without the constant nagging. I almost wanted to walk out but I was in desperate need of new bras and the only other Victoria's Secret is way too far to go to. Don't want to mention names but this location should seriously consider re-training. Starting with management because obviously that's who administers. I am going to avoid in-store purchases for now.

Yelp
I know why review a chain store, this VS is small, Ive seen VS in the airport bigger than this. Its the only one within a 60 mile radius so it will have to do for the next two months while I live here. All the ladies / girls that work here are super friendly, I would give 5 stars just for the workers.

Yelp
The staff was extremely helpful. They sized me and helped me find exactly what I wanted. I had to return a bra and that process was super easy as well. Not to mention the quality of their products are excellent and worth every single penny.

Yelp
My first ever experience years ago at a different location was awful, the lady sized me and was very condescending. So I never went back until a few months ago in Pcola. I attended a private shopping event and it was a madhouse. Hour long dressing room wait kind of madhouse. A girl helped me and remembered my name (my own family cannot even 100% of the time spell my name correctly). Even in the chaos she remembered me. Maybe they have someone watching security footage who whispers in their ears what people's names are. I don't want to know. I was SUPER IMPRESSED, got way more than I needed, and have only ever had wonderful experiences. A girl even tried so hard to find a swim bottom I was hunting for that they didn't seem to have in my size in the store, and it wasn't orderable, she let me come behind the counter to show me all the color options in that style on the computer, and also attempted to find it on their iPad too. Talk about above and beyond. Even returning items is a breeze! I love shopping there!

Yelp
The staff at this particular Victoria Secret store have become so snooty, it has become unbearable.

Lisa G.

Yelp
This store provides the worst service ever. The staff are rude to minors that ask for sales going on during Black Friday shopping and because they don't fit the demographics of skinny b, they say "We have nothing here in your size". Uncalled for and management will hear about this.

Yelp
I will never go to Victoria's Secret again. I'd been wearing a 38DDD in most of their bras for nearly 6 years. I knew I'd lost about 10 pounds so I thought it'd be time for a bra fitting. The lady fitting me put me in a 34D. A 34D? It was so tight and the cups were so small I was about to have a nipslip. So she put me in a 34DDD. Still way too tight. My mother continuously pointed out that it was still too tight. She said it was supposed to fit that way (THE TRY ON BRA) My mom and I told her I hated the body bra. And just what did she insist gave me the most support? The body bra. She said crisscrossing the straps would help with the support. I wanted to scream. I told her I couldn't crisscross because you can see my straps with every top I wear. I would be dress coded at school. This lady made my mom and I feel like idiots. I asked if she had a bra like the one I was wearing already, and if we could try it in a different size. She brought back the wrong style. I couldn't even fasten the bra. I was so frustrated and on the verge of tears so my mother and I both left the store as fast as we could. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had, along with many others at VS.

Yelp
The lines were extremely long and they had quite a few employees working. As the line was backed up around corners, when it moved it got pretty hectic and confusing. A very nice man working controlled the line and did his best to reposition it. There were two women working who were not as pleasant. One of them turned to me and my boyfriend and asked if we had just jumped in the middle of the line without waiting. (She was for some reason extremely nasty about it!) We hadn't and had been waiting. She then started asking people around us to validate what we said. She left us alone when she saw that we had been there. The other female was complaining and gossiping loudly and was clearly fed up with how busy the store was. She was talking badly about customers (and I think that included me) and very roughly knocked me in the back, lurching me forward. No sorry, no excuse me, no nothing. Customers were already frantic and anxious because of the crowd, no one needed them to be losing their minds all over the store for no reason. These employees made several customers in the line really uncomfortable and/or annoyed. I'm not sure how these rude women can keep employment there.
