Good place for eat and see faxi waterfall. Big portions of food for Icelandic restaurants. Fir chips and fish, three big portions of fish. With open doors you eat and see waterfall. Also tables at the terrace

The lady serving a the counter was really friendly and informative about choices available. We both had food and a few drinks, all of which were delicious! Quiet and peaceful with lovely views of the waterfall. I thought the prices were really good as well.

The Faxi waterfall has a paid parking lot. If you go to the cafe you get your money back off your bill. You are eating here for the view and reasonable prices. The food is adequate but not great, it is reasonably priced, but there is a very limited menu. There was a charge for ketchup. The view was amazing and we enjoyed this as our last dinner in Iceland.

The staff here were extremely rude. The woman yelled at me for using the restroom when the sign is not clearly visible. Considering I paid 700 isk for parking I should be able to use the restroom here.

You pay for parking at faxi, but you can use the payment for an meal in this small restaurant. We ate the daily vegetable soup. It was very delicious! (1800 ISK). Bottled drinks and a very nice view! We would have loved to camp here, but it was too far from our planning. Campsite looked very good!

Spectacular overall experience in Iceland. For these 4 reasons. 4: drive here in 1.5 hrs from Reykjavík, literally park your car and you are looking right at the waterfall. Or walk 4 steps to the restaurant/cafe and sit at one of just a few tables right there. 3: Faxa is super beautiful…it’s flat with a long wide cascade of water dropping smoothly into a little river that bends, lies super flat, through a totally green canyon all the way to the horizon. 2: the fish and chips was just rated as best in Iceland, and I confirmed today, fact. Amazing light crispiness on outside soft and juicy on the inside. I don’t have the pic but I won’t forget it and you won’t either. 1: everyone there is so nice, so friendly, there’s an amazing chef, manager who knows how to solve cash register problems, and lovely servers. They’ll speak to you in multiple languages and blush if you compliment them. Check out this beautiful spot, and tip all the ladies you see there, especially if you liked the experience.

Found this randomly after our golden circle drive. We got a few drinks and enjoyed the great weather and amazing waterfall view from the patio.
