We booked two “Twin Rooms with Sea View,” relying on the property’s description and facilities list. As shown in the attached screenshot, under “Description” there is no mention of the bathroom or shower being shared. The listing simply states “Shower” under facilities, again with no indication that this is communal. Any reasonable traveler would interpret this as a private facility within the booked room.
We only discovered upon arrival that both the bathrooms and showers are shared with other guests. By then, it was too late to arrange alternative accommodation. This omission — whether deliberate or negligent — is unacceptable.
Under EU consumer protection law, including Directive (EU) 2019/2161, service providers are required to clearly, accurately, and prominently disclose material characteristics of the service being offered. For accommodation, this includes specifying whether facilities such as bathrooms and showers are private or shared. Failure to disclose this information can amount to a “misleading omission,” which is prohibited under EU law.
Guests considering this property should be aware: despite what the listing suggests, you will be sharing both toilets and showers with strangers. Transparency about such basic and essential facilities is not optional — it is a legal requirement. This property’s lack of disclosure erodes trust and shows disregard for guest rights. Travelers deserve accurate, complete, and honest information before making a booking.
