We had a wonderful three night stay here in September 2025 for our honeymoon. Check in was a breeze and the room was spacious and clean. We booked a room with a patio and view of the water, and we were able to watch the ferry disembark the first morning of our stay. Parking outside is free in front of the church, and the location makes it easy to get to everything there is to do is Seydisfjordur. Step outside and you're right on the rainbow street! You can easily walk to everything in the town without driving. Maggy was super delightful and friendly. She made sure check in with us throughout our stay, offering extra towels and coffee as needed. ||Despite it being a historic building made of wood, we did not hear any of our neighboring guests. The building has been renovated to feel modern and clean, but it still retains a lot of historic charm. The views of the fjords from the room were majestic and it's just a short drive to Egilsstadir where there are more food and shopping options, including the Vok Baths hot spring on Lake Urridavatn. ||If you're taking a ring road trip, be sure to stop here for at least 1-2 nights so you can explore everything the area has to offer.

It’s worth spending a bit extra on the rooms with the lake views—it was one of the highlights of our trip! This guesthouse felt very authentic and had such good value for money! The host was also very responsive even if we arrived late in the night :) Very comfortable heated showers, bed and blankets, and of course the unmatched balcony with stunning views. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here! Also located on the famous rainbow street with the Blue Church. Have delicious lunch at Kaffi Lara (lamb burger and cod) just next door!

Beyond magical setting right on the water. The house is delightful and so easy to settle in. Beautifully appointed corner room with so many thoughtful touches. The view of snow capped mountains was amazing. What a gem of a property! Comfortable and well cared for. Loved the heated floors.

Such a beautiful hotel in such a beautiful town. The scenery along a mirrored lake and next to the Blue Church was breathtaking. The room was really large with a balcony view of the lake. The bed was cozy and the sheets so soft. She even left us an entire chocolate bar to enjoy. We loved our stay!

The accommodations were exactly as pictured. We loved our balcony looking out at the water. It was beyond beautiful and magical. Could not get enough of the water reflections. So peaceful. Everything was cute, clean and comfortable. My boys also loved the chocolate bars. Definitely a treat! We loved this spot and the town of Seydisfjordur!

Lovely hotel! It was renovated but still had some of the old charm of the wood beams and stairwell. Very narrow stairs; no elevator. Room was clean and bright. We liked how the windows open to let the breeze flow. As another reviewer mentioned, not black out curtains. Bring an eye mask if visiting during the summer. Everything within walking distance. We were surprised the port could fit a cruise ship. Quiet!

The location is just great!! It was a warm and friendly guesthouse right on the lake. We were lucky enough to get a room with a balcony and it made the room even more special. We sat out on the balcony in the morning and had coffee.|The owner was available if we needed her also. I do HIGHLY recommend staying here if you go to that part of Iceland

Most modern and bright accommodation for the whole Iceland trip. Room is spacious and super clean. We got a room overlooking the church and rainbow road! Everything is close by. Things to be aware of is the stairs are narrow, so ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility issue or big luggage, although second floor rooms have better views and more privacy. Room only has blinds not curtain, bring an eye mask to sleep if you come in summer and are sensitive to light.
