We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Especially cheese fondue is simply amazing. It’s a must try definitely. There was rain when we got there so we went inside. The interior is cosy but a bit dark. But at the end, I recommend this restaurant

The perch with lemon sauce was so good, and the fondue was great too. The location by Lake Geneva is beautiful. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent candlelight dinner at this cozy/intimate restaurant. The fondue with bread was delicious, but the highlight was the perch with a delicious, creamy lemon parsley sauce. It came with fries and mixed vegetables. Our waiter was busy but everything came out timely, and he was very attentive with our child and brought out a coloring mat with markers to help keep her entertained. When we first walked in, we had to wait several minutes to be greeted but we were warmly welcomed despite not having a reservation. There was a party that came in and had a similar experience but left before anyone could greet them. I noticed this on some of the reviews but I am glad this did not deter us from trying Vieil Ouchy, as it was an excellent meal and experience! We are even planning to return again during our stay, as they had several dishes we wanted to try but didn’t get the chance to 😃

My wife and I were in Switzerland visiting a friend and took a chance on a local restaurant before meeting our friend. We’re so glad we did!! The decor was beautiful and quaint and we instantly got a warm welcome from Florian. We opted for the Menu Fondue. Wow!! It came with a meat platter, half and half fondue with potatoes and bread, pineapple carpaccio, limoncello, coffee and we were even surprised with a delicious double cream meringue to finish. The service from Florian was fantastic and would definitely recommend to those visiting Lausanne.

The restaurant was cozy and warm, wonderful respite from the cold outside. Ordered viande sechee (delicious and freshly cut), green salad (simple and perfect), cheese fondue with potatoes (tiny and flavorsome), bread (generous and not stale), pickles. The fondue is on the milder side which suited us, serviced was prompt, courteous and quick. All in all a lovely first Swiss meal, touristy or not. Not cheap but nothing in CH is.

Great restaurant by the water. We tried Cordon Bleu (which was the best we had so far) and the cheese fondue. The staff was friendly and overall a great place to stop by for lunch!

Expensive small Swiss restaurant that has a number of fondue options. We have been a couple of times on business dinners. The main options are meat heavy and perhaps slightly overpriced for the quality. If you need a place for a business dinner in Lausanne this is a good option. Small restaurant with perhaps less than 15 tables but nice upstairs if you want private dining.
