With a quirky, art gallery, live shows, small events, and delicious pastries - Viento y Agua serves as a wonderful example of what Long Beach is and hopefully always will be. Make sure to order one of their delicious bagels (sun-dried tomato for us, please!), Mexican mochas, or one of their fun creations like the banana chai smoothie (yes - it’s as amazing as it sounds)." - Down the Street Designs

This place's aesthetic could do better. I get what they were going for but the floor and roof are really distracting and don't get me started on the bathroom. I expected better especially the area it resides in and I've seen other bathrooms that are more organized. Coupled with some pricey drinks and the gift shop next door was all too overwhelming. Service was ok and I got to try their mango yerba mate tea and got a little nick-nack from their gift shop when I got the courage to check it out

Tried for the first time on a Sunday morning after seeing all the good reviews. Place looked pretty cozy inside! I Spent $8 on a horchata iced latte. It really tasted watered down and I could barely taste the coffee. The nicest part of it was the cinnamon. The service was very unwelcoming and unenthusiastic. ( just read another review saying the girl on Sunday morning which is when I came wasn’t pleasant) . I am really dissatisfied and disappointed in my first experience.

Google
Really delicious espresso and lattes and super friendly staff. The place is open and airy and inviting. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Long Beach. They have a bathroom, which is a plus. And sometimes random customers play the piano. Such a cute vibe.

I’m always on the lookout for coffee! No matter where I go, my eyes automatically search for coffee cafes. Recently, I discovered Viento y Agra Coffee House in Long Beach. It’s a charming spot offering traditional coffee beverages, smoothies, and small bites. I decided to try a local favorite, the Mexican Mocha. While waiting for my drink, I explored their small boutique, which was filled with adorable and unique items for sale. When my name was called, I settled into one of their comfortable chairs—there’s actually plenty of seating available. What’s even better about this place is that they host open mic nights and days. It wasn’t happening during my visit, but I’d definitely return to experience that. As for the Mexican Mocha, it was absolutely delicious. I usually don’t go for mochas, but I’m glad I tried something different this time. That’s the whole point, right?

Google
One of the best Mexican Mochas in town. If you love cinnamon like me as for a lil extra on top. The "Love" sandwich is a must try! Especially on a everything bagel. It's so filling and refreshing!

Google
Hard to find a coffee shop that has space to work. The leather couches and large amounts of room allow for comfortable work with great mochas

Google
I've been on a mission to try as many different Mexican mochas as I can from various places. I decided to head out to Viento y Agua and visit this little coffee shop. It has a really nice coffeehouse vibe. Couches, loveseats, tables and chairs throughout the shop. I tried their version of the Mexican mocha and it wasn't overwhelming with flavor just the right mix. I got it with oat milk and prefer the flavor it gives the drink. I'll have to give their food a go next time.

Google
Such a cool cafe!! Hubby & I went while on vacation & thought it was awesome. We had coffee and pastries & sat on the couch while checking everything out. It's very laid back, with a hippie vibe, decorated with a lot of Day of the Dead decor, sugar skulls & skeletons. The owner was singing as he brought an order to 1 of his regulars. It was cute. Will definitely go back if ever in Long Beach again!

Yelp
The coffee is decent and the aesthetic is unique for the area but they charge 1.25 for milk substitute which is the highest I've ever seen and way over cost/profit margin. Sucks for those with dietary restrictions or those trying to make good choices for society. Prices in general are on the high side. Wait times are also generally pretty long. Would recommend one of the many other local coffee shops on this strip.

Yelp
I used to love this place. When the PREVIOUS owner, Bella had it. I discovered it soon after moving to LB 20 years ago! I've been going ever since! It's one of the only coffee-houses left! The staff were always friendly, albeit slow, but that was part of the charm! You knew you were getting quality beverages! AND delicious bagels! From people who took pride in their skills and the good food that was offered. I loved the community vibe and even made friends there. I don't know what the problem is. Since Covid (as w many many businesses) the hours are short, and seems good service is also. I just went in today to drop off toy donations and was excited to get a bagel, and you know, SUPPORT small business! When I got to the counter, I saw a basket FULL of bagels. But 40 minutes before closing, was told, "oh, we're not doing anymore food today". WHAT?! Um, ok, never mind! I don't get it. And I'm just so so disappointed. This used to be a great place. I just don't understand the business plan. I really hope the new owners are seeing these reviews. I'd hate to see it go away.

Yelp
I've passed this place several times and have always made it a mission to try it. The ambiance always looks amazing and welcoming. Well, I called the other day to make sure they were still serving food. The first person that answered confirmed that they were and I said okay thank you and hung up. Then I called back to get and place an order but somebody else answered. I asked if I could place an order and they cut me off before I could even finish my sentence telling me "we aren't serving food anymore we don't have that." Okay..... but I just called not even 30 seconds prior? I informed her that she was very rude for cutting me off and also she should be on the same page with her coworkers, to make sure they aren't straight up lying to people. She was real quiet after I said that. Won't be coming here thanks to the employees horrible attitudes! Bummer.

Yelp
This Spanish-inspired coffee shop, nestled in a quaint neighborhood, has a lot of charm but leaves a bit to be desired in some areas. The coffee is okay--definitely not the best I've had, but still decent. It's worth a try if you're in the area, though it may not stand out as a destination for coffee enthusiasts. The staff, unfortunately, didn't make a great impression. I walked in and was left waiting for 5 to 7 minutes before being acknowledged, and the interaction felt a bit lacking in warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere could use some improvement to make it more inviting. On a positive note, the seating is excellent for large groups. Whether you're planning a book club, meeting, or study session, the space is well-suited for gatherings and provides a comfortable environment to work or socialize. Overall, while the coffee shop has its merits in terms of space and setting, the service and coffee quality could benefit from some enhancements.

Yelp
This is absolutely one of my favorite coffee shops in Long Beach, or anywhere for that matter. The ambiance and service are always great. I love the vegan food/pastry choices. Although I can appreciate the community events and gatherings that take place several times a month, I love coming in on quiet weekend mornings for some reading/journaling time. Another big perk, is having Adelita's Revenge shop inside for some Mexican goods shopping.

Yelp
Walking into this places transports you into a calming and aromatic experience as the smell of fresh grounds, chocolate, and appetizing food fill your lungs. The service is amazing and their menu is simple. The atmosphere is very inviting making it easy to spend hours enjoying one of their local favorites, like the Mexican Mocha.

Yelp
My friend and I grabbed coffee and breakfast here on a Saturday morning. There are plenty of seats and some very comfy couches. I had a drip coffee and the monkey bear (banana, peanut butter, honey, and cinnamon on whole wheat toast). Simple but good!

Dom M.

Yelp
i've been here plenty of times because my mom lives in the area. I do love the coffee; it's strong, bold, flavorful and satisfying. It's also one of few coffee shops in the area. My only issue stopping at this business is the service tends to be a bit slow. If i'm in a rush I usually opt for somewhere else since it's a 50/50 chance they will make my order in decent timing. The ambiance is cool if you're into skeletons and grunge, which seems to be a LB thing. There is lots of artwork inside as well by local artists. There is a shop to purchase mexican inspired goodies inside of the coffee shop and plenty of space to sit on couches and chairs. I see plenty people working/ studying every time I visit. There is a few chairs in the front of the shop to sit. Off street parking.

Yelp
The Mexican Mocha drink was delicious, definitely encourage people to drink it with almond milk instead of regular milk. The inside of the cafe is so pretty, not loud at all. A great place to study and catch up with friends. You do have to look for street parking though. Wifi was good and service was good.

Yelp
Pricey spot but its good they have there own style and the actual building is nice to relax and eat in there.

Yelp
This hidden gem caught me by surprise. It looks small from the outside but it's spacious! I fell in love with the decor, it is Latinx aesthetically pleasing! The music itself is calming yet upbeat. I ordered everything beagles with cream cheese and it was definitely filling and delicious . I also ordered matcha with almost milk and a americano coffee for my boyfriend. We are definitely coming back to enjoy our coffee and beagles again. We took ours to go since we had our dog with us. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed so my puppy will have to sit this one out next time.

Yelp
LAME! I give up trying to visit here. The owners have different hours posted on the internet and even when you come anticipating the shortest of hours they say "Oops! We are closing"! Happened to me twice. So LAME This last time I thought I could have one hour before 3 pm closing and they say "We are closing because our espresso machine is down". I told them I wasn't going to order espresso. Doesn't matter. They will close when they want to close, no matter what their hours say! Please, please, someone who actually wants to have normal hours with this place and are interested in running a coffeehouse like an adult, PLEASE buy it! I give up. They don't care, anymore. If they don't care, I don't care. It's really sad that even I don't care because I REALLY care about small business. I want all business to thrive, especially near me, especially small business. I come wanting to purchase beverages and food to SUPPORT them. But I don't care anymore. They are worthless. I find it so ironic the counter culture bumper stickers behind the counter. Like they are rebels. BUT when C-19 virus happened, they dutifully followed orders, shut down their business, masked up without asking questions, letting the government ruin them. So much for courage in being counter cultural or "different". PS I notice I am not the only one here that is turned off. And yes, I've noticed the attitude of the workers there. Pathetic.

Yelp
Okay used to love it here but a horchata latte with regular milk is $8.00 now. No thanks, I'll drive the extra two miles up the street where it's still $5.75 (won't name names). The menu says latte is $6.25 and syrup add is .75 which is $7.00. They said the horchata is a little more when I asked (not notated on menu). Still bonkers. Cute spot, workers are decently nice but that's nuts. I'm not cheap by any means but that's ridiculous. The latte has almost no horchata taste what-so-ever. Tasted like a latte with a little cinnamon. Super bummed I wasted my money on this. Do yourself a favor and go to the spot on PCH and Pasadena.

Yelp
4/28/23 Conveniently located next to Plantitas Market (my Yelp Elite Event)-it was a great happenstance. Hubby needed a pick me up & I wanted to try their latte. Such an eclectic shop! There are several artwork adorning the small cafe and a very colorful piano in the "living room". I didn't have much time for exploring and the hot oat milk latte was ready in a jiffy. It smelled heavenly & strong but it's smooth-it was delicious! Hubby wasn't too impressed like I was, he said "it's good". Would definitely return to try other menu items when in the area. It looks like a good place to hang out, sip & savor, get some work done.

Yelp
This place has a special partnership with one high school teacher from Polytechnic high school (Mr Meckna! AP Euro) and to me, that speaks to how a small business shows up for its community. Embedded into the ethos of this place is the idea that a coffee shop is a place of gathering and uplifting. Decorated on the walls and populating their small gift shop are works from locals, but also thought-provoking and culturally intuitive pieces that speak to latinx and queer culture that exists in Long Beach. It sets the tone of the type of person that goes here. And like a good coffee shop, this place has the most variety of seating, ample amount of outlets, wifi, and just overall good brick-and-mortar vibes. It's an older building so they've really leaned into the charm of it. They close a bit early, Google says 3 pm, but its actually 2 pm. This is not ideal for those who want to dredge through a bunch of remote work. On the other hand for vibes and bevies its okay, a place like this should be short-lived and leave you wanting to come back again.

Yelp
I love this place. The Mexican Mocha is my go to. It takes me back to my childhood-abuelita-hot chocolate drinking days but a grown up coffee version of it. The bagels here are also worth a mention. I usually get the Killer tomato on an everything bagel. The decor is super cute and fun. It's a great place for a hang or working remotely. Not much of an outside seating area. There is a small store inside where you can purchase earring, shirts and such. Minus the star because it always takes a really long time to get my drinks. Making this my weekend place to grab coffee or when I have plenty of time to spare. Overall: Great vibe, good bagels and delicious coffee. Make sure you have plenty of time to wait for your drinks/food!

Yelp
Haven't been back here for about 5 years because the coffee was really bad. Thought I'd try it again... Walking in the place is cute. The baristas at the counter didn't acknowledge us at all. I had to say GOOD MORNING loudly and they didn't respond. I ordered a black coffee and my girl got a cafe con leche because she a hot Spaniard and she wanted her cafe con leche. Both requests zero eye contact. Waiting for the coffees the baristas were complaining working too many hours. When a gentleman came in he seemed to know them. And then they all started chatting. The barista on the machine just stopped making the cafe con leche to chat with him. The cafe con leche just tasted like a light latte and the milk was very burned and the black coffee tasted like caca. We sat in front of the coffee shop to enjoy the coffees but we took one sip and threw them away. Cute spot. Bad coffee. Bad service. Now I remember why I didn't come back all those years ago. Hope this review is received in a positive way and some changes are made.

Yelp
I came by today and I ordered the lavender iced latte and the white mocha Iced lavender Latte: just right! No overly sweet and you could taste the hint of lavender White mocha: taste creamy and had the perfect hint of white mocha - definitely sweeter than the lavender iced latte Service: I came in and It was my first time and I accidentally went to the wrong side of the counter, the girl making the drinks was talking to the other girl over the counter. She didn't turn to acknowledge me at all, maybe saying "hi you can order over there" I soon realized I had to go to the other side of the counter, I ordered my drinks. Went to check out the little shop on the side (must check out) Now ONE STAR for customer service! I was busy checking out the little shop and I went and asked her hi is this the lavender iced latte? She doesn't turn around to acknowledge me and just says "Yeah!" And I asked just checking, it's modified to one shot of espresso only, she turns around looks at me annoyed "Yeah!" You would expect a lot more from small coffee shops like this to be a lot more friendlier. Coffee is good, customer service SUCKS!

Yelp
Not going to lie, I've been here at this spot once in a while but I don't know why the attitude of some employees is downright bad. I ordered a drink and did not get a welcoming experience with a monotone and upset face. Even then I wanted to order a bagel at 2:30 on the dot not on purpose because they close at 3pm but their response was " sorry we don't make bagels 30 minutes before closing"... why couldn't they just make it? This is the only bad experience I've had here.

Yelp
Coffee and food were excellent. The ambience is beautiful in there it's definitely a whole vibe . When in Long Beach please go you'll love it.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to love this place. The baristas were so friendly and gave great recommendations for food and coffee. Perfect spot to work independently, read, and enjoy with a friend/date.

Yelp
They have vegetarian options for bagel sandwiches. I really like the Killer Tomato sandwich and the Veggie Garden Sandwich. I have yet to try The Love sandwich. You can choose from a variety of bagels for your sandwich, I went with the sun dried tomato bagel. If opting for something light, there are croissants and muffins as well ( Vegan options available). Their Mexican Hot Chocolate is delicious. For those of us that grew up on Mexican Hot Chocolate this is spot on. The cashier was kind enough to ask what type of milk for the beverage. I went for the oat milk option but they have other choices for alternative milk. The blend of flavors is so delicious. Definitely not sweet like a Swiss miss or store bought hot chocolate packets. Plenty of options for seating. Comfortable individual chairs as well as a couch if you are here with friends. There are a few tables with wooden chairs and some high top table options too. Hand sanitizers available through out the shop which is nice. Street parking is free. Check out the gift shop Adelita's Revenge for creative gift options after your drink.

Happy D.

Yelp
I love this place! It has the best coffee and a welcoming vibe! It's also very vegan friendly.

Yelp
Place is bigger on the inside than the outside. You're greeted by a strong cafecito smell instantly. Local spot to pick a table or corner to study, work or enjoy a drink and bite with good company. Baristas are def on it!! Menu is local to Long Beach needs so come expecting REAL COFFEE in your drinks! They're not diluted or plain. Each drink or food item made to order, food options are fresh and local. Highly recommend the blueberry PB&J! Love urself a little and enjoy it! Music is always playing here so come for happiness :)

Yelp
Great vibe to this coffeehouse. Open concept and a great deal of seating options. Great Wi-Fi connection. I ordered a killer tomato sandwich. The everything bagel was fresh and soft. Love the combination of ingredients to the sandwich spinach, tomatoes cream cheese, basil, avocado, lemon pepper great tasting combination. I opt in on the Mexican mocha flavors flavorful rich in mocha well made not clumpy at all. The barista were friendly and helpful. Clean surrounding, condiment station well kept. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Love this cozy little space they also offer the space to use for all different types of networking or group events if you're looking to rent out a space. I like their bagel sandwiches and I would totally buy up their sandwiches three times a week if they had some sort of chicken or turkey sandwiches. the servers are all very sweet as well.
google avatar

Jocelyn S.

Yelp
Just ok. This is a place people come for the vibes so I can see why people like visiting. It has that "friends at central perk" feel. I looked up the ownership because it looks to lean hard on a Latino aesthetic. It was partly founded/started with a Mexican woman but that isn't the case now (as far as I know). I was really excited to visit this place because I'd pass by so many times and liked the look of the classic coffee shop. I got the blended Mexican mocha. Not great but also not terrible. It was super watered down. Not a big deal since many people really enjoy their drinks here from what I've read in the other reviews so I'll have to give it another try.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday, wasn't busy. Ordered a Mexican mocha with oat milk, the cashier with colored greenish eyes was a little snarky. She asked what size I wanted and I said "medium" and I felt the frustration in her voice when she said "we have two sizes, a 12oz or a 16oz" and I'm here like whoa what a bad first impression. Then shortly after she was off of her shift. So I'm guessing she was frustrated cos she was tryna go home and I came up to order like a customer does. Weird. Honestly the Mexican Mocha wasn't really anything impressive. Not just saying this because of the weird interaction with the cashier, cos I can handle attitude if the product is good. But that's just it, the drink just wasn't good. Can't really comment on the other stuff cos the Mexican mocha was the only thing I got. But as someone that's worked in the specialty coffee industry for 8+ years, this shop is more for the ambience than it is quality based.

Yelp
Hands down, the best coffee shop on 4th Street! This local gem and favorite is my go-to when I'm in the area. Viento is a warm and inviting coffee shop that offers great coffee, yummy baked goods and delicious bagel sandwiches (the Love is my favorite). Their entire staff is always friendly and nice, but I definitely have to highlight Kei, Molly and Jamie as they always go above and beyond to offer great customer service, take the time to chat with the customers and make my favorites. The shop has tons of seating, both indoor and outside and they offer free WiFi. The vibe is always so great whether you're stopping in for a quick cup to go or want to stay and hang out
google avatar

Alexandra E.

Yelp
I've been coming here off and on for years and have always loved the "Killer Tomato" bagel sandwich. I understand inflation, but the fact this sandwich is about $14 now and the ingredients are not even half as good is disappointing. This used to be made with delicious heirloom tomatoes and was made with watery basic tomatoes for double the price. Not to mention the service was mediocre and they barely put cream cheese on it. Would no longer recommend coming here for food. :/

Yelp
We were staying nearby for the weekend and Viento y Agua was suggested to us by our AirBNB host. We walked only a few blocks on a warm day. We opted for some iced drinks! An iced chai and an iced Cafe Con Leche which were both creamy and yummy. We also got the starter oatmeal and everything bagel with cream cheese which filled us up all day long until dinner time, believe it or not. The interior of this coffeehouse is like Halloween chic..dead skulls hanging on the walls, skeleton motifs, etc. Plenty of tables, chairs and armchairs to hang out at. They also have swag like bags and tshirts if you wanna support them. Great recommendation and glad I dropped in.

Yelp
Great! Coffee shop deceiving on the outside. It looks like it's a small space but it's not. Friendly happy baristas. I really enjoyed my coffee with a cute heart shape on it first thing in the morning.

Yelp
2 weeks ago I was on a #NurseryCrawl and (as commonly happens with myself) I tripped into this cozy coffee house next door to the Plant Shop (they were moving) it was their library that drew my attention... there were only 2 people working the counter and I was told they would be with me in a moment... it was a LONGGGG moment, but they seem to be doing their very best at taking care of the orders that were in front of them plus, many in our industry are still struggling with being understaffed so I'm not mad at them. When I tried to order a sandwich they immediately said they were out of bagels and continued on with what they were doing... well I wasn't trying to order it on a Bagel but... again I had to wait to catch their attention once more. Finally I was able to order 'The Love' & added Avocado... another long while later got the sandwich but it had no avocado it's a good thing I looked before heading all the way back to Upland YIKES! anyhoo returned let them know and waited again... If you haven't caught the moral of this review is that it may take a while but my sandwich was the VERY BEST Vegetarian Sandwich I have EVER EVER had ((broad smile)) the fact that they were never rushed to do tells you that they are making your order with care (or at least that is how I wish to see it). Interior is inviting with tables for two and a communal table for larger parties, open windows and music being played what more can you ask for. There is additional seating outside on the curb if you like as well. Respectfully Reviewed

Yelp
1. The coffee and bagel sandwich were delicious! 2. The cafe definitely has fun creative vibes with many art pieces! 3. The staff were very friendly! Tip: You can park on the streets or in the neighborhood on the side! However, the street parking with the green areas are limited two hours except on Sundays (Unlimited)! Yelp
I just happen to be in the area and I stumbled across Viento y Agua. I've heard good things about this coffee shop and been wanting to check it out. Parking was street only, so can be tricky. Inside the cafe, it had a really nice ambiance, there's art everywhere and there was a pop up shop selling traditional Latin/indigenous Knick knacks. The cashier was nice, I asked what she recommended on the menu and she suggested the Mexican Mocha. I ordered it ice blended and it was really good! I didn't stay too long as parking was only for 30 minutes but it's a great place to bring your laptop and study. Overall, I would come back, especially for their open mic events!

The place is clean and spacious. Great place to work. The coffee was delicious. We order " the love" bagel and it was yummy filling. Wish there were more breakfast sandwich options.

Went here before leaving the area. Would definitely come back if I venture to the Long Beach area again. Highly recommend the Mexican mocha. I also got the love bagel I believe and man that vinaigrette is so good. I'm not really into eating veggies lol but this bagel was so good!!! Plenty of space to sit around. Good vibes

Yelp
My favorite local coffee shop that I go to almost daily for various reasons: 1) the staff is so friendly and make an effort to get to know the customers on a first name basis 2) the whole vibe and atmosphere of the place is very comforting and relaxing 3) the drinks and the food are so unique and unmatched My favorite items to get are the: Mexican Mocha (5/5) - Iced, Hot, or Blended, they are all so delicious and the rich chocolate flavor pairs so well with the spices and the espresso The Love sandwich (5/5) - I've never had a veggie sandwich like this, the cream cheese with the balsamic vinegar and sundried tomatoes all topped with leafy greens and cucumbers - my mouth is watering just thinking of this ; but seriously, get this and your taste buds will thank you!! This one might seem funny but the t-shirts are very soft and fitting (4.5/5)

Yelp
Bad customer service. Always serving with an attitude. Not sure why folks who work here are always in a bad mood.

Yelp
Food: Honestly, I wasn't very impressed. The Mexican Mocha tasted more like a spice latte (honestly, I didn't taste chocolate at all). I also tried their Mocha Blended, and it was okay but nothing special, maybe even a little on the overwhelming side in terms of flavor. Aesthetic: It has an interesting, eclectic vibe. I'm a big fan of the bench with seats that slope backward--very ergonomic! It's quiet and relatively empty (at least when I went), so it would probaby be a good place to study. Service: The one worker I interacted was kind and helpful when I had questions about the menu. Overall quaint, but I was a bit turned off by their coffee.

Yelp
Went for coffee but got sidetracked by the Coco Loco! If you like coconut, it's great. Liked the ambience and the music was spot on!

Yelp
What happened to this adorable little coffeehouse in the heart of Belmont Heights? I've been coming here for ten years. It has no air conditioning, so it's stuffy in the warm weather months, but it has a ton of comfy chairs and the coffee is typically good. But now, the friendly guy who used to run the place is gone. A third of the seating has been replaced by a hyper-cheugy Latina-themed boutique (if you're an aging millennial who loves sugar skulls and references to RBG, this will be your favorite place), and, most distressingly, the prices have shot up dramatically. Want a plain bagel? $4. Want them to smear some cream cheese on top, that's an extra $2. A small latte with nothing added to it? How about $5.75. A quick coffee date here is now a $25-30 proposition. Such a bummer because it still has potential, but when Bela left, he seems to have taken the decent prices and friendly service with him.
