We ordered takeaway from this place. The flavours were very average and we found hair in the Pho we ordered. The crispy pork was by far the worst I’ve had. Refer to the pictures, nothing crispy about this dish. The dish was so bland. Understand restaurants can have bad days and good days. But the worst part was the customer service. The Asian lady at the front counter was so rude, to her customers and her employees. I left the place feeling so bad for the employees working there under this management

Fine place to have skme Vietnamese food. Not the best I had, but fine enough for me. The restaurant is not high class, so don't experience a Michelin star menu. I got the Beef Pho, which was nice as the beef was still raw when added to the bowl. Perfect. The steamed bun was okeyish.

Sorry this was not nice pho. Very very oily and only one leaf of basil. I love pho and have eaten it at many different places and this might be the worst to be honest, I didn't finish it. So much oil, the noodles were undercooked and slightly stuck together and overall I just felt gross when I was done.

Excellent Vietnamese food. Authentic Vietnamese flavours. Good balance of flavours. Had chicken salad, beef lemongrass, and braised barramundi. Sorry forgot to take the photos at the start of the meal!

Unfortunately, my experience here was quite disappointing, leading to a 2-star rating. The dish I ordered had a rather weird taste that I didn't find appealing, and it didn't feel particularly fresh, which was a letdown. The overall quality of the food was underwhelming. Adding to the less-than-stellar experience was the interaction with the staff, which I found to be fairly average and not particularly engaging or helpful. While I was hoping for a better meal, this visit unfortunately missed the mark in terms of both food quality and service.

I usually find it hard to go wrong with Vietnamese cuisine, but unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. We ordered four dishes, and they seemed to get progressively worse. The final dish — a pork belly stir-fry — arrived burnt, with a bitter sauce that was hard to enjoy. The starter was decent, and I have to say the waiter provided excellent service, which was the highlight of the meal. However, if you’re used to authentic, high-quality Vietnamese food, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great food and friendly staff. Their authentic Vietnamese Pho had a delicious broth and was served with the uncooked meat ready to be delicately cooked by the hot broth. The crispy pork belly was a sensational flavour bomb. Highly recommended!

Magnificent food and service at very reasonable prices. I can't recommend it highly enough. I've come back a year later and it's even better. A beautiful restaurant, run by a beautiful family.

Yelp
This eatery was suggested by our hotel receptionist and a car service driver. We were early (5 pm) and sat in a table (all are outside where they can seat from 25-30), while the folks finished setting up for the dinner crowd (which begins at 5:30 pm). You have to order at the counter and pay, then your food is brought to you. We even got a 10% early-bird discount (though I am not sure what the rules are for that discount). We loved the shrimp chips given as a snack while we decided what to order. We got the sliced beef pho and the pork and spring roll bun (rice vermicelli dish). The lady server (owner) was very good at adjusting my meal to leave out all raw onions. The food was good but not stellar. We have eaten tons of Vietnamese food and even visited the country 18 months ago. I would give this place 3.5 stars but Yelp does not allow half stars. So I upped it to 4 stars because service was so fast and friendly and we had a hearty meal for a mere $45 (after discount). We left a cash tip.

Yelp
Port Douglas has countless food options and Viet Pho is a great cheap option when you are craving something different. Food is cooked in a tiny kitchen and served proper Asian style on sidewalk tables that allow you to take advantage of the evening breeze. This certainly isn't fancy dining. It is honest Vietnamese food served fast by friendly locals. We had the Pho with beef, and while it lacked the depth of flavour you would expect in Victoria Street Richmond, it certainly was a nice break from seafood. Casual dining just off Macrossan St, worth a visit if you are staying longer term in Port Douglas.
