I have visited the Vietnam War Memorial at Freedom Park in Westminster, a place that embodies healing and reverence.
My experience there was deeply moving, especially after attending the performance of MISS SAIGON at the Rose Center Theatre, presented by the Vietnamese American Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra to celebrate its 30th anniversary in Spring 2025.
As I left the theatre, the haunting emotions stirred by the powerful performances lingered in my heart. Walking through the War Memorial, I was reminded that it has been 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War. I gazed at the statue once more through my car windshield before departing, filled with a heavy heart. I found myself praying for the souls of those who fought and sacrificed their lives in the conflict. I hope they have found peace, and I want to acknowledge that, as Vietnamese, we will never forget the soldiers lost to the war, regardless of which side they were on. Their memory lives on in our hearts. ❤️
