Vietnam War Memorial

I have visited the Vietnam War Memorial at Freedom Park in Westminster, a place that embodies healing and reverence. My experience there was deeply moving, especially after attending the performance of MISS SAIGON at the Rose Center Theatre, presented by the Vietnamese American Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra to celebrate its 30th anniversary in Spring 2025. As I left the theatre, the haunting emotions stirred by the powerful performances lingered in my heart. Walking through the War Memorial, I was reminded that it has been 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War. I gazed at the statue once more through my car windshield before departing, filled with a heavy heart. I found myself praying for the souls of those who fought and sacrificed their lives in the conflict. I hope they have found peace, and I want to acknowledge that, as Vietnamese, we will never forget the soldiers lost to the war, regardless of which side they were on. Their memory lives on in our hearts. ❤️

This was a small yet intimate Vietnam War memorial. It was well-maintained in a quiet peaceful park. I found it very inspirational and thought-provoking.

🏃‍♀️All the times I've been to west court and never stopped at this Vietnam War Memorial . The big goblet or cauldron with the natural gas flame is pretty cool.. if u ever need a light really bad you know where to go!! Lol. Nice little playground and stairs going into building next door are great for cardio. 💪

Really quiet well kept park... Very informative statues... Only bad thing is bathrooms were not open when i was there... Everything else is a must see

When I first saw this HISTORIC Memorial, I was ever so thankful; my eldest Bro., a real Jarhead, active Truck driver & Bugler in The Marine Corps Band during the Vietnam War; who along w/his best bud were able to return home, after Tour's of Duty in the late 60's. Unlike my 2nd elder Sister & 4th elder Bro, who both enlisted in the Navy & have since, passed on to glory, bless their hearts! And Bless God, for His incredible love & tender forgiveness that surpasses all of our own understanding; reaching to the highest Mountains & lowest Valley's; via the Blood of Calvary! I've been thinking of our many soldiers today & made a $ donation to the 🇺🇸 USO.., in memory of all the sacrifices they are making for us right now! Their families 😢 & homes, while we enjoy Life & Freedom, everything they risk their lives for every day! I pray that, God bless them! Everyone of them! Be w/them Lord protect them from the attack of the enemy! Speak love & peace to each of their lonely aching hearts, souls & minds Ó Lord! And let Your Face shine on them, keep them safe in Ur Right hand Father, for Ur name sake! I ask these things in the holy name of Jesus! Amen Lord, Amen.

An excellent location that commemorates the sacrifices of Americans and South Vietnamese. There's a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. the first Sunday of every month. The city of Westminster just held a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon, Black April. I have lived in "Little Saigon" for 39 years
