Google
True rating would probably be a 3.5/5. We were seated right away and the staff was friendly. Partner ordered the Charred Beef Rib Pho ($23.50). It was a good portion, they poured the soup at the table until almost the brim. Would definitely fill you up. The taste wasn’t bad but it didn’t have the complexity and depth of flavour that good pho usually has. I got the rice with chicken and pork ($16.95). There was a good char on the meats. The rice is softer/mushier than how it’s usually served. While the dish still tasted good, it wasn’t a large portion and the meat was very thin. I did like that the pork wasn’t super dry and was really easy to cut through. Also got the Beef Carpaccio to share which was pretty good, felt like I needed the extra portion as I wasn’t full from the rice dish.

First time here and I can say that the food did not dissapoint, the service was also top notch. I would recommend if your in the area to try this place. Every food in the menu is amazing. 5 stars all around.

Google
Amazing experience! The food is flavourful and unique. Everything was delicious! The service is top notch and the prices are very fair! Highly recommend if you want an elevated Vietnamese dining experience. Will return for sure!

Google
Vietnoms has excellent customer service, they were incredibly nice and welcoming. The space is quite small but we got seating very quickly, they definitely deserve a bigger space because their food is so good. I got the sizzling beef plate with egg and it was delicious. The drink selection here is also very good, i definitely recommend the matcha with pandan cold foam. I am definitely going to come back here again to try more things.

Google
Absolutely loved our meal here! We ordered the Charred Beef Rib Pho, Hanoi-Style Stir-Fried Lemongrass Beef Pho, Beef Carpaccio, and Banh Xeo. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. My unexpected favorite was the Hanoi beef pho; it came loaded with fresh veggies, and the lemongrass really elevated the traditional pho profile to the next level. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we never felt rushed. It was such a great spot to enjoy a comforting meal and catch up with friends.

Google
Honestly one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants! Portions and flavor are way better than LL 😭 The beef carpaccio is to die for. They told us there’d be a 20-minute wait, but we got seated even earlier than that. I was first offered a counter seat, but when I noticed a table inside, they gladly moved me — the guy was smiling the whole time. When I ordered, I asked if I could get just a side of broth for my rice dish; the other server mentioned there’s usually a charge, but he gave it to me for free this time. Super nice staff, great service amazing food!

Google
One of my absolute favorite Vietnamese spots in the entire GTA. The food here is next level. You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every dish—Vivian and her family are still in the kitchen, cooking up real Vietnamese cuisine the way it’s meant to be. The beef carpaccio was out of this world, and the beef rib pho was rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. Even the drinks were incredible—the avocado shake with espresso was a unique combo that worked so well, and the matcha (sourced in-house!) was smooth and delicious. It’s a total hidden gem that’s absolutely worth the drive. Cozy atmosphere, amazing hospitality, and truly unforgettable food. Highly recommend!

Google
Great Vietnamese food! Really enjoyed everything we tried and the menu has a good selection of different items. The staff were very nice. We waited around 10 mins for a table for Saturday lunch. There are outdoor and indoor seating but not a huge space so make sure to make a reservation if you plan on coming.

Yelp
Such a great restaurant. I come back all the time. Their Carpaccio is a must try. They have so many good items on the menu.

Yelp
Visited around 4:30pm on Suday. It was pretty busy and restaurant itself was prettty small. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Ordered off memu special, Viet Beef Carpacio( Bò Tâi Chanh ($18.95) and it was fantastic. Was tangy, sweet, vibrant and crunchy! Also ordered Dungenous crab & pork tapioca noodle soup( Bành canh cua) Loved rich crab broth, pork and nice presentation of huge crab. Their seafodod & porj banh can cua which is off menu special is $20.95. And this weekly special with half dungenous crab was only $5 more. Only thing was crab itself fell short of expectations in freshness. Loved tapioca noodles though. Overall had a great dinner and will return to try beef short rib pho next.

Yelp
Vietnoms is a friendly neighborhood spot in the Freshco plaza at Bathurst and Steeles. The entrance looks like just a takeout counter, but there is a hallway leading to a sit-down area inside! If you come in expecting a regular pho place, you'll be pleasantly surprised! They have two menus - their regular menu and then an "off-menu" consisting of special and new items. I would recommend trying their off menu! I came here with my six-year-old for a quick dinner on a weekend. We were seated right away, but the dining area was quite packed and loud. We ordered: Grilled sausage - decent appetizer with good flavour. Skin could be crispier though. Beef-rib pho - regular pho with one long beef rib added. Good twist on a classic but one size only. Avocado fresh rolls - these are Vietnamese style spring rolls. I mainly got this for the veggie content but still not a fan of this style of roll. But if you want something refreshing this is a good bet. Vietnamese coffee - comes in a takeout cup. The service was speedy and attentive. Overall, I wouldn't rank this as my go-to pho place or anything, but good place to try if you want some different Vietnamese fare than your standard stuff. 3.5 stars.

Yelp
Vietnoms is a bit different than your typical Vietnamese restaurant in the GTA. There are more street food like dishes on the menu. Beef carpaccio, Bahn Minh to name a few and they have a lot of different drinks to choose from with Pandan, Taro, Coconut flavors. There are about 6-7 tables so they fill up quick. Ventilation isn't too best so your jackets may soak up something of wok hay from the kitchen. If you are up for some less boring Vietnam dishes, this is the right place to go

Yelp
We've been meaning to check out their larger location for a while since we really liked their original location when we went 5+ years ago! At first we weren't sure if there was seating, but they lead you to the back where it opens up! Not a huge space but it fit probably 40ish people? Nice and cozy! Love love love that there's an "off menu" beyond the usual Vietnamese fare. We didn't even bother looking at their "regular" stuff as we wanted options that you don't normally see. We had a hard time narrowing down what we wanted but thankfully we agreed upon an app and two mains. We had seen a lot of people ordering the beef carpaccio so that was an easy one.. (even though the baby clams sounded yums!) and the hubs decided on the seafood & pork tapioca noodles while I chose the dry Phnom Penh noodles. Holy smokes... they don't mess around. The portions are HUGE but so delicious!! Just a warning, as delicious and flavourful as the tapioca noodles are it had quite a strong fish flavour to it. My husband did not mind one bit and crushed it but I don't think I could've eaten a lot of it. I looooved my noodles though, the two noodle option was great! There was a lot of "toppings" - pork, seafood, and the soup even came with seafood balls. *chefs kiss* We definitely will be back to try other options... Tony was at the front and we had a nice chat about other spots he's been to eat. Great guy... oh and cash is 5% discount! Check it out!!

Yelp
The pho was great. The shredded chicken was perfectly cooked. I love a lot of broth but this wasn't as savoury as other places. There specialty menu is a must try. Service was great even when their busy. It's a small spot but good. Wish they had more seating room though.

Yelp
We use to live by the Vietnoms to go (the smaller counter part in North York), and never realized they had a full size restaurant further away until we saw on social media. It looked so yummy, and I already knew I loved the specials, so we had to go! Wow.. It did not disappoint at all. I had the stir fry hanoi style pho which was absolutely a show stopper. We also ordered a regular pho and their version of a bun rieu. Everything tastes so good. It's simple ingredients but long hours of slow cooking all poured into one delicious dish. Heavenly! Oh and be sure to wrap up the night with a matcha. They're really sweet because of the condensed milk, but somehow it hits the spot for dessert. I got pandan and now I make pandan matcha at home regularly. It's amazing. I wish I lived closer by cause I would definitely want to go back more often and try out their new specials.

Yelp
Always pleasant visiting here for authentic Viet food. We visited on Friday around 4pm, and it was quieter than usual (normally this place is quite busy). Service was quick and staff were friendly too :) We ordered Vietnamese Beef Carpaccio and Sizzling Beef, Egg and Meatball (with baguette). Both were delicious and recommended if you're looking for something special other than pho. Cash discount available.

Yelp
On our way back from a road trip to St Jacobs, Elora, and Fergus, I decided to drive the back roads rather than the highway. With all the construction and evening rush hour traffic, my GPS said it would take the same amount of time (if no accidents). It turned out to be a nice relaxing drive, with no traffic jams or obstructions along the way. As we got closer to Toronto, we started thinking about dinner. We ended up stopping at Vietnoms, along our route in Thornhill. They have a small and cozy dining room, as well as outdoor seating but it was raining a bit. Our meal consisted of a Mango Salad, Fish Sauce Chicken Wings, Shaking Beef, Bun Bo Hue, and a Pho that I neglected to get the name of. The portions were generous and full of flavour. Every bite, every slurp was delicious. My personal favourites were the wings and the mango salad but they were all good and we took home leftovers. If you're in the area, check them out.

Yelp
Recently dined again at Vietnoms and tried some new special menu items. I beg to differ on the previous review, the banh mi dip is FIRE! We didn't expect it to be the highlight of our meal. The juicy brisket paired with the pho broth made it taste so good and succulent. Kind of like how great a pairing of birria tacos with the consomme. This should be a staple in any Viet restaurant. We also ordered dry chicken pho noodle salad and the Sizzling Beef, Egg and Meatball (with baguette). I loved for my dry chicken pho, kind of like a vermicelli bowl but with more veggies (lettuce and carrots) with a sweet dark sauce for pairing. The sizzling plate was good and super rich. The only crime is that the egg was overcooked so that was no dip component like you see on Instagram. More like closer to a hard boiled by the time it reached to us. We didn't want to complain given the sauce is still rich and lovely but I think a runny egg yolk would definitely elevate it more. We were still left stuffed and satisfied at the end. They were busy on a weekday night but we were really lucky to score seats indoors without much of a wait. They also seem to have patio outdoor seating this summer. I say overall a 4.5 star because the egg was overcooked and a bit of a gamble whether you would score indoor seats given the small space but otherwise the food is really tasty. Definitely give the banhmi dip a try for yourself. Oh and 5% off if you pay with cash!

Yelp
Good overall. We ordered the bun with pork and spring roll, the beef carpaccio and pork chop rice. The food was good and tasty. however I would say the condiments lacked taste- I used the hoisin sauce and hot sauce but it didn't have much flavour or taste.

Yelp
Vietnoms is a cozy neighbourhood spot that has a takeout counter when you first walk in with a dining area through a hallway. I've been here a few times and the service is consistently really great. The staff is kind, and attentive. Some standout item are their beef carpaccio, sizzling beef with egg and meatball in a tomato sauce and phở.

Yelp
An innovative Vietnamese restaurant, with the classic menu staples and new interesting fusion options. The front is set up as a takeout space, however, the back has around 10 tables for dining. It gets busy during peak hours, so we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table on a Friday night. We shared the Banh Mi dip and I had the Bun Rieu. The Banh Mi dip was a fun take on two classic items. The dip was very flavourful and worked really well to bring an additional aspect to the sandwich. The pork base broth of the Bun Rieu with tomato, tamarind and shrimp paste was very flavourful in a different way. I liked that it was served dry at the table, and then they pour a large kettle of soup on top of everything. A great place to try new flavours!

Yelp
Amazing food and great variety. I love this place! I went here for my birthday with my partner and we feasted on a lot of dishes together. We heard some great things about this place (their social media presence online is very strong) and it definitely did not disappoint. We ordered: (1) Dipping bahn mi - this was very tasty and unique. The pho broth that it came with was just the right richness to compliment the simple flavours of the bahn mi (2) Beef carpaccio - excellent! This was a highlight for me. The tartness of the fish sauce and the flavours worked so well with the beef. And it was super fun to eat this on the shrimp cracker chips (3) Fish sauce chicken wings - these were very good but not super standoutish. I would definitely order these again though (4) The northern style pho - this was just mid tbh.. maybe I'm not used to this style of pho. I wish I ordered their house special instead (5) Viet iced coffee - a classic! Very good here I'm a fan of this place and it left a great first impression. I'm definitely looking forward to come back to try their other dishes and their other fun drinks in their café menu. Heads-up! - this place has been super popular lately and there is not that much seating inside. Try your best to come early so you could secure a table or else you'll be waiting in the long waitlist.

Yelp
TLDR: Vietnamese restaurant with two locations (one is primarily takeout only). Only seats roughly 26 people in the dining room which is likely why they don't take reservations but the time for turning over tables seems relatively short on weeknights. Their menu has a lot to offer including drinks you can customize with different cold foams paired with their drinks. -[VIETNAMESE COFFEE W/PANDAN COLD FOAM] $7 *Love that their coffee isn't too sweet even with the pandan cold foam topping it *Interested to return to try this drink but with their ube cold foam next time -[DEEP FRIED CHICKEN WINGS - 8pcs] $14 *Your choice of sauce: tamarind, fish sauce, Vietnoms spicy - we got taramind which was a sour flavor with a slight hint of sweetness *I'm not the biggest fan of sour as a profile but the one I had was good. I can see how other people would like this flavor as it is light and refreshing -[VIETNAMESE BEEF CARPACCIO] $18 *No idea what the slaw is made out of but it is a 10/10 of a salad if it can be ordered on its own tbh - tasted like julienned purple cabbage/carrots/onions, red chillis, peanuts, marinade that was slightly sweet/sour *The beef was extremely tender and flavorful - went really well with the shrimp chips it was served alongside -[CRAB & PORK TAPIOCA NOODLE SOUP] $20 *The noodles were as thick as udon but had a bouncier texture to them that I loved *The protein included seemed to be imitation crab meat, Vietnamese meatballs, Vietnamese ham, pork bones and maybe more *This is definitely my favorite noodle soup dish because the soup was very comforting and was a decent size too -[SIZZLING BEEF, EGG, AND MEATBALL W/BAGUETTE] $17 *I have been CRAVING this dish for so long now because a different restaurant near me got rid of it from their menu recently so when I saw it here, I knew I HAD to get it *I swear there's also what tasted/looked like pâté on the plate too although it isn't mentioned (super tasty) *The components of this dish all went so well together :D The tomato sauce everything was sizzling in was creamy and the baguette allowed me to scoop everything into my mouth TIP: 5% discount if you pay with cash but they do take credit/debit too! * Boss/staff are super nice and will do everything within their power to have you seated comfortably at a table ASAP but do remember that they have a very small section for seating (counted 26 seats in the dining section)

Yelp
Food is great, service is also great! Everyone is friendly and polite, taking the time to explain the menu. Would recommend for your next meal.

Yelp
Decided to give this spot a try after some of the social media hype and I definitely see where it stems from. Their storefront is very unassuming, as it appears to be a small takeout spot from the front, but there is actually an entire dine in section at the back (though a little tight for space between the tables). I got the Bun Rieu from their off menu selection which you can find on their website... it tasted great and hit the spot. My only gripe is that I wish they used real crab instead of imitation crab meat, which took away from the dishes for us. I also REALLY liked the complimentary tea they provided... very unique from anything I've ever had, with the hint of pandan flavour infused in it. Service was speedy and efficient. Overall I'd return to try more of their items!

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday around noon and had to wait around 20 minutes for a table. The restaurant is small so there aren't a lot of tables. This isn't very suitable for groups more than 5+. We ordered a few dishes to share. Everything was good. We had their pho noodle soup, bun rieu, vermicelli bowl and grilled rice dish. The pho was my favourite. The broth was flavourful and hit the spot. My least favourite was the grilled meats with rice. The meat pieces were small, and they use jasmine rice instead of broken rice (com tam). The server forgot to punch in one of our dish and they didn't realize until the end of our meal (when we asked). We sat around and waited because we were still hungry and wanted to try the bun rieu. The mains were $17-20 each, and their specialty lattes were $7.50 each. Overall, food is good and portions are average. I wouldn't mind coming back here again if I am in the area.

Yelp
Walking in, it almost feels like a take out restaurant because you see the cashier up front. You walk farther in through a long hallway to reach the main dining area. Service was expected of an asian place, ie you have to ask for a refill on the pot of tea. Vietnoms special rice dish - Unfortunately not noms for me. The proteins, beef and chicken, were lacking other were underwhelmingly thin. The chicken was marinated, but I would have preferred the typical lemongrass marinade more. There was a massive amount of rice which made the proteins feel even smaller. The fish sauce was also not to my preference, I wished it had more flavours including a bit of spice and more sweetness. Would not recommend. Deep fried chicken wings - We got the Vietnoms spicy wings which kinda felt like an all stars medium spicy wing. Wings also felt a bit small. Would not recommend. Matcha lemonade - This was tasty! The lemonade is a bit salted. Mixing the matcha and lemonade was a wonderful blend of green tea and salted lemonade that I didn't know was so good. Would get again! So in the shops defense, the server recommended us to try the 'off menu items' and I opted to get the regular menu items with the Vietnom name on them. Might have to come back and try their off menu items.

Yelp
I can't believe I just discovered this (not so) hidden gem in Thornhill! Vietnoms is a cozy spot with a small coffee bar at the front and seating for about 30 people. I went after the lunch rush on a weekday and was able to get a table without any wait. I ordered the crab, pork in tomato soup " bun rieu"--the portion was absolutely humongous! I couldn't finish it all and ended up taking half home. The accompanying tea had a subtle pandan flavor, which was a pleasant surprise. I also tried the iced Vietnamese coffee with pandan cold foam, and it was fantastic--rich, bold, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, this place offers some unique dishes that I haven't seen elsewhere, and I'm already planning to return with more people to explore the menu further. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Yelp
came here bc the banhmi dip was featured in youtube foodie. i thought it was unique and looks real good. place is busy! people came non-stop. we ordered off menu special: 1. carpachio- tasty. but strong flavor (understandable). paired well with the veggies and fried shallot -even tho the fried shallot is a bit hard...instead of crispy. but the true 'savior' is the chips/crackers. it's plain. so it blends in well with the strong carpachio. and you can ask for more chips too! 2. banhmi dip- nothing special. nice to dip the banhmi into the pho broth, and the bread soaks up all those juices. but the broth and the meat on the banhmi has same flavor profile. toooo similar. nth special. regular / traditional banhmi tastes better. 3.char rib beef pho huge portion. smoky and tender ribs. star anise in the broth is too overpowering. 4. vietnoms spicy wings (regular menu) tender. flavorful. perfect 'spiciness'. best wings i ever eat in vietnamese restaurant. some sort of bbq sauce (twisted to asian palate? lol). definitely prefer this type of sauce compared to western ones. Not a place we will go back or have a craving for. But definitely worth a try for sth unique.

Yelp
Had a serious craving for a Banh Mi sandwich and finally gave Vietnoms Thornhill a try. It's been sitting on my list for a while and I usually go to the Sheppard location, but this was my first time at the Thornhill spot. To tame the hunger, I went all in and ordered three Banh Mi sandwiches, grilled chicken, grilled pork, and grilled beef, all with extra pâté and fromage. Service was super friendly, even though I only stayed in the takeout area. Staff were welcoming and attentive in a way that's honestly not too common at a lot of Vietnamese spots. I had to run a quick errand while the food was being prepped and came back around 15-20 minutes later. When I picked up the order, I really appreciated the extra care the clerk took in checking each sandwich and labeling everything properly. It made the whole experience feel a bit more thoughtful. Taste-wise, everything hit the spot. Meats were cooked well with solid flavor and nice texture. The bread was on the softer side compared to the usual super-crispy Vietnamese baguettes, which I didn't mind at all. It made the sandwich easier to eat and gave it more of a comfort food vibe. Pricing is fair, even generous, especially considering the quality. That said, I do wish there was a bit more meat packed in, just enough to make it feel more balanced. I'd honestly be happy to pay a buck or two more for a bit of extra protein. Also, the pâté and fromage add-on was there, but so subtle that it barely stood out. It didn't take away from the sandwich, but it was hard to notice, especially when you're paying extra for it. This review is just based on the takeout sandwich run, but I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. I've heard great things about their overall menu and how it delivers real value. Looking forward to checking it out properly next time.

Yelp
The group of 5 of us decided to venture out of 'sauga to try out Vietnoms after someone recommended it. The layout of the restaurant is a bit unusual because the dining area is at the back of the restaurant and the cashier is at the front upon entering the restaurant. I noticed that it felt unclean because the floor felt grimy and the booth seat had food on it. The washroom wasn't that clean either. The majority of us ordered pho and one of us ordered the bún bò huê'. Upon tasting the broth, I felt like it was missing something. I'm not quite sure what it was missing, but definitely something. There wasn't a lot of meat which we noticed. Overall, I'd say the pho was lacking. I felt the pho wasn't worth the hype and the drive.

Yelp
Yeah I'm doing it. Another one in my coveted 5-star category. Vietnoms is a small Vietnamese restaurant at a plaza on Steeles near Bathurst. Pretty decent sized parking lot, but the restaurant is very busy. Don't be surprised if you need to wait for a table. At the time of when I ate there with my parents, there were two phos on special: a drunken beef pho and a curry beef brisket pho. Both seemed very interesting so we figured we'd give it a try. The broth was extremely flavourful, which I like. The beef brisket was melt in your mouth delicious, and the noodles are the texture that I prefer (slightly wider than your typical narrow pho width). Service was excellent here. 5% discount if you pay by cash. I don't give 5 star reviews that often, so consider this an extremely positive review for this place.

Yelp
May 17, 2025 - I've been to Vietnoms several times and I would keep coming back. The food is amazing and the portions are enormous. I usually get the Vietnoms Special Pho and the fresh rolls. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Another excellent Pho place in the GTA. I had the charred beef rib pho and it was great. So glad there are now so many places that offer this dish around here. The staff were very attentive, courteous and polite. They offer a 5% cash discount.

Yelp
This is a great addition to the plaza. From the outside, it looks like a takeout spot, but the seating is actually at the back. I like that they have menu items that you may not find at other Vietnamese restaurants, they're more unique. Service is fantastic. We were greeted soon after we walked in and every interaction with the server was so polite and friendly. The food is fantastic and portions are decent. I especially enjoyed the fish in the claypot with rice.

Yelp
I dined here a couple of times. Food: I had the grilled chicken banh mi once for takeout, the toppings inside included shredded cabbage which I understand toppings can vary widely in the world of banh mi. I just personally prefer pickled veggies so this specific one will not be something I will get in the future. I got to try the Shaking Beef and Fermented Fish Noodle Soup on separate occasions. I enjoyed both dishes very much! The shaking beef had good char, the beef was not too chewy and was easy to eat. Comes with a sunny side-up egg and an assortment of veggies. The fermented fish noodle soup was not too fishy in my opinion. Contains eggplant, squid, shrimp, pork, and chopped lemongrass. I find it fragrant and perfect for a cold winter day. My friends have had the Crab & Pork Tapioca Noodle Soup and they enjoyed the chewiness of the tapioca noodles and soup taste. Service/atmosphere: The staff were friendly and attentive. There is limited seating, good for groups of 2 or 4 or 6 people.

Yelp
First time trying Vietnoms. Had the Vietnoms Special Pho. For some reason I wasn't impressed by it, for me it tasted very plain so I added some sriracha and chili oil to make it more flavourful to my liking. They give you the bean sprouts and lemon, but not the greens (colantro or thai basil) - I like tearing up the leaves because it adds flavour to your soup. The broth was alright, light and good for cold days. Another soup we ordered was the Crab & Pork Tapioca Noodle Soup. This one hit the spot! Thick soup with udon noodles with some crab legs and pork. We enjoyed this one better, it was very comforting and tasty. Then we also got a rice dish, two meat meal with grilled pork and chicken + egg quiche. Again in my opinion nothing special, it was decent but compared to other vietnamese places their version of two meat grilled combo is better in quality than this one. And as soon as we were seated, we were asked if we want tea or plain water and of course we got hot tea to warm up. This one tasted super good and had a familiar taste, but I couldn't place what it was exactly, so I asked one of the staff and he said they use pandan leaves (how could I missed that)! A beloved southeast asian ingredient to many dishes (back home I use it to make my rice more fragrant ). So yes, try the tea, you'll enjoy it for sure. Nice staff, friendly and attentive. Quick service. Small place basic interior, few tables and chairs so I'm sure its gets filled quickly when its peak lunch or dinner hours. It is situated in a plaza so parking is shared and free.

Yelp
Hole-in-the-wall pho and Viet snacks Food: We tried the beef carpaccio (didn't expect this at a Viet restaurant), charred beef rib pho, and the pork sausage, grilled pork and spring roll with vermicelli. The first two items were "off menu" specials, and were definitely not what you would expect at a typical Vietnamese restaurant. The beef carpaccio had a good balance of sour, sweet, and savoury flavours and most of the beef was half-cooked from the citrus, with the herbs and shrimp chips that played well with the tender thin slices of beef. The beef rib pho presentation was also very nice, as they poured the hot broth from a tea pot, and it cooked the thin slices of beef. The broth was clear and was on the milder side. The vermicelli dish was made with fresh ingredients but tasted a little too light on flavour for us, missing the mark. Definitely go for the specials/off-menu items, they were superior. Service: The restaurant was didn't have too many tables at the back, and although the person serving us was new, they were very welcoming and friendly. The food came pretty quickly but they forgot to give us tea or water at the beginning (but no big deal, we just requested it). Atmosphere: I called this a hole-in-the-wall restaurant as it's quite a small storefront and the dining area is very cozy, with just a handful of tables and counter seats. It seems like the restaurant is more suited for take-out, but we came during the off-peak lunch hour so seating was available.

Yelp
Years ago I visited the North York Vietnom with much anticipation. While it wasn't a total dud, but it was just ok. Now that they have opened a dine in location in Thornhill, I was not exactly dying to try it out. I used to pass by it every single day to and from work, but yet there was no urge to visit. Destiny has it that I was off from work and in the area, so I ended up back in this more sit down version of Vietnom. Overall, you can see the potential, but the food is not really quite there yet. Their pho was alright. They are doing this gimmicky thing where they come with a kettle to pour the beef broth into your noodle and various beef toppings filled bowl. From a practicality standpoint, it did not add to the flavour. If anything, it may have affected the temperature of the broth. The other item we ordered was the stir fried baby clam served with sesame rice crackers. The clams were a bit fishy. The condiments used were meh (most dominant flavour was basil) and I wish they added some level of spiciness to it so that they could mask the fishy taste. The rice chips that came with it were not all the way through crunchy and there were pieces with thicker edges that were plain hard. Both Vietnoms would not be a place that I will go out of the way to visit again.

Yelp
Came for the first time for lunch after hearing great things about this place. I really enjoyed the beef carpaccio definitely the highlight of my meal. The pho was also pretty good. The drinks were also good, we enjoyed both the coffee and coconut smoothie. Staff were nice as well and restaurant was clean.

Yelp
Loooooooove this place! All the items i've had here are very solid. My faves are definitely the beef salad and the crab "udon" noodles. Portion sizes are great and everything is super fresh. Happy to see they've expanded beyond their smaller, takeout-focused location on Sheppard. The staff here are always extremely friendly. Too bad the seating is a bit limited here but definitely recommend checking them out.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised from what this little gem had to offer. Been hearing great reviews about this place and had to give it a try. Ordered the beef carpaccio with a side order of rice. Amazing and flavourful topped with a light salad on top. Made to share, or as an entree, I had to take some home because it was so much. Loved the flavour of the sauce mix with the meat. Great to eat with the shrimp crackers that come along with the meal as well. I recommend! Taro(Ube) latte ... yum!!!! Honestly thoroughly enjoyed this iced latte. Was recommended by our server to try it out. Not too sweet, but just the right amount of sweetness and caffeine kick that you need at your lunch hour, and complete a sweet compliment to your meal! Overall, great quality, service. Amazing selection. I'm am definitely coming back to this small gem again. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
They have a bunch of street food here in addition to your typical bun/pho/com which is interesting to see! I loved all the fresh herbs and veggies on top of the beef carpaccio which was super flavourful. My friend really liked the sizzling plate which was more heavy and they give you warm banh mi to dip in the sauce. Also found it adorable the pho broth came in a teapot! We came on a Saturday night around 6 pm and shortly after, the small dining room filled up quickly. There was a line when we left. The staff here are soooo warm and nice. Can't wait to try the iced coffee next time!

Yelp
Tried a few dishes. In terms of the taste, I'd give it 3 to 4 stars. The pho broth tasted very flavourful, and you could taste the spices such as cloves. The vermicelli with sausage, spring roll, and grilled pork tasted good too. The grilled chicken bahn mi, I enjoyed the grilled chicken as it was tender and had a good grilled flavour, and the bun was nice and crispy yet soft. But I would have liked more pickled flavour to the carrots, and more spice level. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because in the vermicelli, I found (1) a long hair, and (2) piece of metal. The hair I found within seconds of starting to eat, but didn't mention it because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt (in case it was my hair by any chance). So I took the hair out and kept eating. But we had some leftovers and the next day went to eat it and I found a piece of metal 1 inch long. I have concerns about the food safety aspect, especially since we brought my young child here to eat with us and if he had eaten the metal without spotting it, it would have been dangerous. I am glad I found it before anyone was injured.

Yelp
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Place is smallish but can accommodate maybe 5-6 tables? Food was pretty good with reasonable price. Tried the beef ribs pho and cold roll this time. Pho broth was a bit greasy, can see the grease once the soup cooled down. Cold roll was pretty good and pretty big. Will go again to try some of the other interesting menu items.

Yelp
I had saw someone post about this place on their IG and it piqued my curiosity as I am always on the look out for a good Vietnamese restaurant due to my other half having Vietnamese roots. This place is located right on the corner of Bathurst and Steeles in the Freshco plaza across from the Petro Canada station. Its tucked away on the plaza closest to the intersection and from the outside looked super tiny and I was a bit skeptical at first whether this would be a pure take out place but was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering you will pass by the front reception area where you can also place orders for take out and you can see their lab for all the drinks they make. We stood there for a second and was pleasantly greeted and was shown to further seating in the back of the restaurant. I admit the decor was very interesting and not your traditional restaurant layout, nor was over the top extravagant for your next IG story. The front was brightly lit for take out orders, the middle of the restaurant was a more narrow hallway with a bar stool counter top space for those folks that may want a quick bite and in the back of the restaurant is where there is seating and felt very simple and zen like. We were shown our seating and given the option of water or tea. Right after the tea came we were also given the menu and given a quick walk through of the dishes on offer. My other half specifically saw on their menu that they offered Bun Mam and thats exactly what she wanted and ordered. I ended up ordering Bun Rieu and both dishes came out quite quickly. The server/owner was super pleasant to speak with, just enough chit chat but not too intrusive either. He was also nice enough to give us a sample of one of their latte drinks and it delicious. When my other half ordered her dish the server and her had an instant Vietnamese connection and started to chit chat about food. The server was a definite foodie and went into great detail about the different dishes, how its made, whats made in house and decisions around why things were made a certain way. I almost felt like this was a Vietnamese Omakase with the detailed descriptions of which herbs and pair well with which dish. Needless to say that we enjoyed our meal overall and overheard 3 other tables have already came back a few times already despite this place opening this location only last week which goes to say a lot about what this place is all about. I almost felt like my cool Vietnamese foodie friend had invited me over to his place to have food made by his mom - That was the comfort level I had and the food of course was spot on. Although if I must absolutely nit pick the Bun Rieu meatball did have imitation crab meat in the center of the meat ball which can be hit and miss. But this is just me being very nit picky as I always like to try and find room for improvement with every establishment. Another potential area for improvement is if they genuinely wanted to use the hallway section as additional seating for folks to eat they may want to consider adding some hooks so patrons can hang their purses/jacket/belongings on especially in the winter. They may also want to add hooks elsewhere for patrons to hang things from, or consider adding some sort of basket underneath the chairs so people can tuck their things away. Overall my other half already has in mind what she wants to order the next time we are here and I would not hesitate to recommend this place with the only caveat is that the interior of the restaurant may be a bit tricky to find seating if its prime time.

Yelp
Came here early dinner around 6:30pm on the weekend as its first come basis and we lucked out and snagged a table before the rush. This is their flagship location so there's more seating here compared to other locations they have. Plus I believe only this location serves their off-list menu options from regular menu that other locations may not have. Here was what we ordered. Deep Fried Tofu Bites- $8 - You can pick your sauce choice so we chose lemongrass. Its probably like 8 cube pieces with some mixed lemongrass sauce. We like the flavour of the sauce, however, we can't say the value is there for the price point. Flank Brisket Pho (Large)- $16.75 - Broth flavour was nice and clear and had great flavour. The portion is quite generous. The cuts on the brisket is quite tender and yummy. Though the broth ratio compared to noodles and topping is quite vast difference. Bo Ne Sot Xiu Mai- $17 - This is on a hot place with some meatballs, liver pate paste of sort, one fried egg on a sweet ketchup flavour profile and comes with a toasted baguette bun. - I think based on the rarity of this dish it was enjoyable, though I'm surprised this is considered a main vs an app as I didn't feel full from this. Pandan Cold Foam Viet Coffee-$7 - You pick your coffee and choice of foam so we got the pandan. The flavour was decent, but not too strong. Hard to really taste the pandan even when its mixed in real good. I think it had some bitter taste to it, but the creaminess didn't really blend in with the pandan to come through really. Overall, the food is quite good and the service is good too. Our only thing is the service is really feel rushed and trying to get your orders in quite fast rather than wait until we're ready kind of vibe. I guess its because they focus on turnover as they don't have ample seating which is understandable.

Yelp
small restaurant with maybe only 6 tables around. Service was great, our server was super friendly and helpful with what to order! We tried the deep fried wonton, the charcoal pho and the grilled chicken vermicelli. Size of the dishes were big and enough for leftover next day. the pho that i order had their soup come in a teapot which was super cool and unique. Lot of other items i want to go back to try!

Yelp
Amazing food! Amazing staff! Although the space is small, it has a cozy atmosphere and does not feel crowded. Every bite was packed with flavor, and everything we tried was incredibly yummy. The drinks are a must-have - so creamy and perfectly crafted. I highly recommend the coconut smoothie paired with the pandan cold foam. The bahn mi dip is an absolute standout and a must-try for anyone visiting. Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Big servings, the matcha pandan drink is satisfying & staff are friendly. Recommended by our friends & definitely I also recommend you to eat here

Yelp
It was recommended to me, but everything was mediocre during my visit - the food (portion seems to lean on the smaller side), the service, the price, etc. The place does seem clean and cozy though. My honest review is that nothing stands out either way. Would I return? If I crave pho, sure. Would I recommend it? Not really.

Yelp
Learn about this place from social media (marketing probably) so I gave it a try with a friend in the weekend for early dinner. Place is small and one corner of the place is like a triangular shape corner so that table would not be comfortable. There are some more seats along the corridor from the front door entrance to the back space with tables. But I don't think people will like to seat there. So since the tables are really limited, just try to avoid peak time of the day. Ordered items include: - Appetizer: Banh Mi Dip (item from Off Menu Specials) - basically just the Vietnamese bun that you can dip with pho soup-like soup base. Soup dip is quite good and sort of "new experience" that turn out quite good. But this is basically like a supposed to be $2.50 bun plus a $2 worth soup base but they sell it for $12. Okay to try once but I won't order this again. Also not a lot of meat. - Main #1: Hanoi-Style Stir-fried Lemongrass Beef Pho (item from Off Menu Specials). High expectation of this because I like spicy food. However, this is basically like you find all the left over vege plus just a few slices of beef from refrigerator, stir fried it quickly in 2 min. Put it in a metal bowl and they serve it with a pot of soup base and pour it right in front of you. Not worth $18 for sure maybe $5. If you are going with someone you hate, you can ask for this one. - Main #2: Rice with Pork Chop and Grilled Chicken (regular menu). Taste good. Rice is good (dry and hard; style I like). Meat is tasty. But this is not a special dish. - Drink #1: Pandan cold foam on Vietnamese Coffee base - best item of the meal. Coffee is strong and delicious. Foam has right bit of sweetness for the drink and not over the coffee taste. Right balance. Recommended drink if you have a $7 to spend. - Drink #2: Friend ordered Pandan foam on Coconut and he likes it. No complaint. Overall I felt that I ordered the wrong items that maybe not their best dishes. I'd like to try some other items but will expect not as great as just typical pho or vermicelli dishes. Recommended to people who want to explore new restaurants. Price I think it is not too expensive but not cheap too. One lesson learned is that you can't trust 100% from social media videos.

Yelp
I have been seeing this place pop up on my Instagram feed a lot recently. With my love for Vietnamese food and this location not being too far from me, I gave them a visit the first chance I got! Vietnoms is tucked in a big plaza by Bathurst and Steeles. There is tons of free parking so no worries there. It has a double door entry and when you first walk in, it looks like a little cafe bar where two employees greeted me. I was there for takeout, but could see a long hallway that led to the dining area. The great thing about this design is that you won't have any drafty winds flowing in when customers enter/exit. When I let the employee know I was here for takeout, they were great in offering me a menu pamphlet and introduced me to their off menu as well. The employee was also great about explaining other off menu drinks, like their milk foam beverages. Ordering was easy, I paid via credit card and was offered a seat to wait. Instead, I told them I'd step out and return in 15 minutes. I must say, even for takeout, the service was impeccable. I already mentioned that they took care to explain the menu, but also, they were very considerate about me having to carry a takeout bag and two drinks - I was offered assistance to my car and when I declined, the employee was very kind to open the doors for me on my way out. Now onto the food! I got the following: 1. FRESH ROLL WITH PORK & SHRIMP: Thanks to the loads of fresh shredded lettuce and carrots in these, the size of the rolls themselves are quite big. This added so much crunch! For protein, there's a usual amount of shrimp and pork which were both tender to bite. 2. GRILLED PORK & SPRING ROLL WITH VERMICELLI: For $14.75, the portion was decent but I do wish there was slightly more grilled pork to better the ratio of meat-to-vermicelli. Otherwise, the flavors were good and there was a lot of texture, like crunch thanks to the abundance of lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumbers, and carrots. 3. ICED FILTER COFFEE WITH CONDENSED MILK: a nice classic which was strong, bold and slightly sweetened. 4. MATCHA LATTE WITH PANDAN MILK FOAM: In all honesty, I'd come back just for this drink alone. Everything about it was so well-done, between the flavors that came through nicely and the creaminess of the beverage. There was absolutely no graininess to it, just purely smooth to drink!

Yelp
Tried Vietnoms for the first time. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly. The broth was excellent and the portions were huge! Pho was definitely the best. We tried their special appetizer (fried crepes?) which was just okay.
