As usual with France, this is a fabulous market which is used pretty much continually; I was in town over the weekend and stalls inside and out were open both days selling some amazing food; the bakery stalls outside were both top drawer, and the cheese range inside was similarly great (tomme with 7 flowers was one of the best cheeses I've ever had).
It really shows up the UK when this is how food is bought, at a local market not (big generalisation) at a supermarket; I didn't see a decent size supermaket in the centre so guessing there are huge ones on the outskirts, but still.. this market sold amazing food and was rammed with people, main;y locals, every time I visited. It's in a nice part of the town too, with many old buildings lining the square the market is on, and lots of cafes too!
If you're in town get yourself here and indulge in some amazing local food, and see what we're missing!
