DON'T RIDE THE HORSES unless you can handle them! Apart from that, lovely beach.
There were a couple of young blokes with horses offering rides, all good until one horse with a women on it was out of control. Galloping as fast as it could, she could not stop it and very fortunately ducked when it went under a tree. The back of her neck missed a branch by 25mm. So lucky. The lad who's horse it was was way down the beach, didn't appear too concerned. Spoke with a tourist who was near us and he said that the lad on the horse didn't know how to ride a horse as he wasn't gripping it properly and couldn't get it to run after the other horse. So, if you do ride, beware. Maybe one of the planes operating at the airport spooked it?
Walk up the end of the beach away from the Cafes, go through the Hotel beach and past the derelict building to Choc Beach and you'll see cows on the beach at some point in the day.
