What a gorgeous beach in the heart of Castries town. Visit this beach for: 1) The magnificent views of Carribbean sea bordered by green mountains 2) To enjoy a beach with no crowd at all 3) No seaweeds on the beach 4) Great to swim and have fun on the airport entrance end 5) Delicious dinner and lunch options by the beach. 6) Beach chair and washrooms available for a nominal price.$1 for washroom and $7 for beach chair ( recommend haggling...we got the $15 one for $ 7)

DON'T RIDE THE HORSES unless you can handle them! Apart from that, lovely beach. There were a couple of young blokes with horses offering rides, all good until one horse with a women on it was out of control. Galloping as fast as it could, she could not stop it and very fortunately ducked when it went under a tree. The back of her neck missed a branch by 25mm. So lucky. The lad who's horse it was was way down the beach, didn't appear too concerned. Spoke with a tourist who was near us and he said that the lad on the horse didn't know how to ride a horse as he wasn't gripping it properly and couldn't get it to run after the other horse. So, if you do ride, beware. Maybe one of the planes operating at the airport spooked it? Walk up the end of the beach away from the Cafes, go through the Hotel beach and past the derelict building to Choc Beach and you'll see cows on the beach at some point in the day.

Was at Vigie Beach yesterday on cruise stop. Nice beach with smooth sand. No seaweed, rocks, or coral. Lots of large shade trees all along beach for shade. Not crowded, just walk a few minutes from taxi drop off for cheaper chairs and less crowds. Taxi ship to beach $5pp each way with shared van, about 10mins ride depending on traffic. Two beach chairs $15. Can negotiate. Beach horseback riding available - 20 mins for $20 adults, $10kids - fun and great photos as entire ride on the beach/water. Wasn’t bothered by any vendors after first no thank you. Food and drink available. Would recommend Vigie Beach.

Vigie Beach is a hidden gem that offers a truly authentic St. Lucian experience. Its pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters create a serene and picturesque setting. The laid-back atmosphere and friendly locals make it a perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. One of best things about Vigie Beach is its local eateries and shops right on the beach. You can savor delicious local cuisine, from fresh seafood to mouthwatering street food, all within walking distance. The vibrant local culture adds to the charm of this beautiful beach. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a fun-filled day out, Vigie Beach is the ideal destination. This is definitely high on my list of top favorite beaches I've been to!

Conveniently located beach close to the airport! While much of the area is taken up by hotels, it’s important to remember that the beach is public, and everyone has the right to enjoy it 😃

Beautiful Beach, 10 minutes drive distance from the cruises terminal, the taxi fare only cost $5.00. You must pay for nice spot and umbrella at the beach. Sunny beach and very clean. Highly recommended

We decided to spend a couple of hours here and were hassled from beginning to end which spoiled what should have been a laid back experience. We paid $25 for two lunches - one from the buffet and the other from the kitchen. When my chicken and chips came out eventually they told me I hadn’t paid for it (which I had). I said forget it as I wasn’t prepared to pay another $15 for undercooked chicken and chips having been accused of non payment. I popped my uncooked chicken back on the grill and wished the very unfriendly staff a good day. They proceeded to laugh at me so I took photos of the bar and the staff. So sad. I’d always dreamed of going to St Lucia and it was unpleasant and uncomfortable. I am not a complainer but please don’t visit this bar on #vigie beach. They are spoiling the island vibes and have left a bitter taste in my mouth. Sorry St Lucia. I’m sure this isn’t the way you want to portray yourself but I won’t be coming back

There's no private beaches in st lucia, don't be threatened by the security guards from the resorts along the beach
