Beautiful park with plenty of hiking. Wild nature and all kinds of tracks for experienced or beginner hikers. The hut is also well functioning and transportation is punctual and cheap.

Incredible hike and epic views! It took us 5.5 hours total (with a stop at the top). We did the full loop - a bit of snow on the steeper side still but doable if you're an experienced hiker. It probably will melt pretty quickly at this point in the year. Bring lots of water if you're doing the hike from Vihren hut (we each brought a liter but we could've brought another liter each).

Challenging but rewarding hike! Reaching Vihren takes about 4.5 hours with breaks - the first part is a moderate trail through greenery, then a steeper rocky climb to the summit. Bring hiking poles, warm clothes, and a hat - it’s windy up top. The descent is quicker (2–2.5h), but parts of the trail are poorly marked, so GPS helps. Parking is available at the trailhead, but the road is closed 8:00–16:00, with a shuttle bus running at set times. Stunning views make every step worth it!

3rd tallest mountain of the Balkan peninsula. Not the easiest hike but definitely worth it!

What a magnificent place.. Although the trail is well-maintained, certain route identification is lacking, which could lead to confusion at times. I'm very impressed by this place's beauty and the people I encountered during the trial. I appreciate everyone's smiles, kind words, and encouragement Even if the hike may seem challenging in the final stages, reaching the peak is achievable and worthwhile. Best of luck, enjoy 🧿

Absolutely amazing and beautiful trip. Not easy, but we managed within 7,5 hrs climb up and retutn back down also with our little ones - 11 and 8 years old - we took the southern track. The final top section would deserve new mark paint.

This is one of the magical place is Bulgaria . Not an easy way to get there but definitely worth it. The whole experience is amazing . Just a one of the lifetime . Make you feel that you can do a lot better in life once you got to the top ! Wonderful place .
