Fabulous|Lovely room with fantastic view over the lake.So peaceful that we could hear the fish splashing outside the room in the evening. Easy access to Ypres - 20 minute walk. Even had a kitchen for guests to use whenever they want.|Wonderful breakfast, lovely host.|This will be an annual visit when driving to and from other parts of europe.

We have stayed in some nice hotels but this establishment can only be described as a little touch of paradise. The owner Carl is a really nice, friendly welcoming person who is prepared to do anything within his remit to make your stay enjoyable without in any way being intrusive. The room in which was stayed is beautifully appointed with a terrace overlooking a large lake with abundant wildlife. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped for your stay. We have been so impressed we have rebooked for a further week in September. The included breakfasts are superb and we can fully understand why this establishment has had such rave reviews.

TOP location, the building & rooms look like new. The host Carl was very friendly and made a great breakfast in the morning. The b&b is a 30 min walk from the town center, which is pretty nice. I don’t think you can find a better place to stay in Ypres.

B&B Vijverhuis is a lovely B&B, in a lovely setting on the outskirts of Ieper. My partner and her Mum and Dad have had a really nice break at B&B Vijverhuis. Rooms are excellent, the view is amazing and the breakfast scrumptious. ||||We really liked the setting, being on the edge of the reservoir. ||||Carl is a very efficient and helpful host and works to fulfil our every need during our stay. ||||We opted to use the Hot Tub on our second night and after almost 4 hours had passed by we were certainly extremely chilled. ||||All in all an amazing place to stay and certainly one we will be looking to re-visit in the future.

No way to contact this property! I did my reseravtion through Booking.com, tried to get in touch to proceed the pre-payment and it was a disaster - tons of emails and phone calls with no answer at all. Strongly not recommend this place.

This was real find, fantastic conversion of an old house set on a lake. There were six of us and so took all three rooms and had the run of the accommodation. A lounge overlooking the lake, a fully fitted kitchen/dining room, our own front door and your own sun terrace overlooking the lake and flocks of birds, beautiful!. The rooms are all on suite and decorated with style, with modern good quality furnishings and each with mini bar and television. Bathrobes, large walk-in showers and toiletries. The breakfast is served in the little café attached, in this quiet location. Carl, the owner runs the café and served breakfast, great choice of cereals, fruits, nuts, different breads/rolls, yoghurts, cheeses/cold meats and eggs cooked to order. ||An added bonus is Carl's wife owns a delicatessen in town which sells home prepared meals. As we'd had a long drive we took advantage of this, a choice of Pasta Arabiatta or rabbit with vegetables and creamed potatoes. This was delivered to house by her that evening, it was so good we took another meal from her on another day after a long day touring around, The different menu this day was just as good and if you don't want to eat out every night its a great option at very reasonable prices

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our road trip to see the Tulips. It is very quiet and the lake is lovely to look over from the terrace. Our room was very clean and had all we needed. The only thing was that there was no door on the toilet area so don't go for the "Romantic" room if you're not comfortable with this !!There was a guest lounge and kitchen and a well stocked bar from which you could help yourself and then fill in on a form in the room.We were a little disappointed that you had to pay for use of the hot tub. Breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order and a selection of cheeses, breads etc. The walk into Ypres was about 25 minutes and having done it once we decided the next day to hire bikes from the guest house. Great idea and we even used them in the evening after a few beers ! The ceremony at the Menin Gate was very moving and very busy but well worth it.

We stopped here for nor night in the middle of a very long journey from living abroad - we were not disappointed. Our room was beautifully appointed with a balcony shower-room reached by a wooden staircase. The bed was comfortable, the mini-bar well stocked and with reasonable prices and the maxi-bar, downstairs next to the salon/sitting room was even better stocked.||||The salon looks out over the lake and you can see a variety of water birds from here while enjoying a drink.||||Breakfast was traditional continental with a wide choice of cheese, salami, coffee, jams and the like, this was served in the bistro, again with views over the lake. ||||Carl looked after us very well, he was attentive, cheerful and only too willing to help. The location is perfect, the town centre can be walked to in about 20 mins - it's easy to drive to as it's about 1 1/2 miles and there are many interesting things and places to see and do. My Grandfather and 2 Great Uncles passed through here in '14/18, two of them have their names on the Menin Gate - we shall return !!
