CLEAN, smells nice. Beds are comfy. Quiet. They have a grab & go breakfast at 7 am with muffins, yogurt, juice & coffee. The owners were pleasant. The parking lot is clean & newly paved. They had a pool & hot tub we didn’t use. A gazebo if you chose to sit outside and visit with others.

It depends on what you are used to. If you are used to five-star lodging, you probably won’t like this place. Pros: hairdryer, micro, refridge, iron and board, coffee pot in room, clean but not 100 % perfect. Nice pool with many towels provided and open until 10:00. Very nice and attentive staff! A/C worked great with no clunking or weird noises. TV had a great picture. Cons: Small rooms, beds are not comfortable, breakfast is very simple and grab and go. No lobby to eat in. Basically toast, packaged muffins, yogurt, coffee. Some updates have been made but it’s dated. I would give it 3 stars.

It was okay. It depends on what you are used to. The service was great and staff were very nice. They have a nice pool and furnish a lot of towels out by the pool. The pool is outside and open until 10:00 p.m. The breakfast is grab-n-go (muffins, yogurt, coffee, make your own toast) - that's about it. No lobby. Came with coffee maker, hair dryer, refrigerator/freezer (there is a place to get ice), A/C worked well, TV worked well. Our biggest issue is that it wasn't super clean.

Positive: Close to the ferry. Pleasant room. Congenial staff. Great sleep and shower. Nice to stay in a local hotel rather than a corporate chain. Negative: Carpet was a bit worn in our room.

A very nice motor lodge! Stayed for just one night. Spacious King room. Shower was a little small, but great water flow! Good location ans friendly folk let us check in and hour early.

Dried bodily stains on bed cover! Unsanitary and Unsafe. I always check for bed bugs - I did not find any but I found several spots of dried bodily fluid stains on the mattress cover. Nauseated. I went back to the front desk showing pictures and the lady informed me the owners have to take a look before they decide what they want to do. They didn’t have any more rooms lefts and I just wanted a refund to leave. I showed the two owners that were elderly and the Man didn’t see the problems. He kept trying to tell me the sheet covers it just fine. I told him that it is not right to just not remove it and wash it. I couldn’t believe the push back. Then I realized the stains are from other stays and they don’t care to change but put another cover over it. I left and didn’t stay as I don’t trust the cleanliness and safety of the rest of the room. I couldn’t get a refund because they said I booked through 3rd party.

From the outside, it looks inviting with a gazebo, pool, and greenery. And then you go inside and you think ok I mean I only paid $350 for 3 nights. That's not bad. I can stay here and then you go into the restroom, and there is hair and dead spiders all against the floor boards. And there is what smells like pee coming up from between the floorboards. So my socks are soaked right away. I go and let the front desk know and they say that they will send somebody to come clean it. Well, they only cleaned one side of the floorboards and left the other side completely dirty. They wiped one part of the floorboard but left the entrance of the bathroom still dirty. So we just put towels down, and every time, we would walk into the bathroom. The towels would be soaking wet from whatever was coming up from the flooring. So we mentioned it again that it was still leaking and they said that they would take care of it and we did not stay inside at the hotel a lot because I came up for my step mom's funeral. So we did not mention it again until we were leaving. She said that we did not say anything about it when, in fact, we mentioned it twice and told them that we ruined 2 pairs of socks because they smelt like pee and that so many towels were soaked in wet from whatever was coming up from the floorboards, and they said that it is water from the pipes that comes up from the floor which okay fine but why not offer us another room? Or tell us that that may happen or give us a discount or a partial refund or something. They didn't even say they were sorry. I have never left a bad review like this in any of the reviews I have left. I have not been back to Michigan in 25 years, and I will never stay at this hotel again and I hope that you do not stay here either. Room 141 Beware!! Disgusting 🫣 🤮 by the way, the pool was disgusting. The hot tub was cold, and there was so much stuff floating around the top of the hot tub that I wish it was hot enough to kill whatever was in there because I'm assuming that it didn't kill anything.

This was one of our favorite places we stayed on vacation. The staff was very nice. The room was so very clean and comfortable. Their attention to details was amazing. The room exceeded our expectations. I would definitely stay here again.

absolutely hate places that block access to the TV functions. impossible to change the input so you're stuck with cable don't waste your time trying to bypass it. annoying and disappointing. room nice otherwise.

The 80's is missing a hotel room! Lol, ok I'm exaggerating!  A Decent sized room and an actually quite large bathroom. It has a prefab Tub Shower combo, that only goes up about 6', so the normal. There's a desk and small table in the main room. Plus a normal sized hotel room TV. Room also includes a mini fridge! However there's no Microwave. The bed is stiff! My back didn't love it, but I slept decent. There's my normal complaint of hotels, the blackout curtain isn't very good. There's a pool and hot tub outside. So depends on the weather! They have a sign in room that says at this time housekeeping doesn't clean your room during stay, unless you request it. Therefore I didn't put up no disturb sign. However I returned to my room to find it cleaned up! This quite frankly annoys the hell out of me and will affect my ranking! Overall a 3 star review. Would I return? Maybe. First I'd check out other hotels, if they were priced the same I'd try somewhere else first. Also not important, but the key into the room is larger than most by far, weird!

This is a delightful, old school, Mom & Pop motel like your grandma and grandpa stayed in when they traveled. In those days, places like this were the norm and there were lots of them. With the advent of the big chains, these places are vanishing. Not the Viking Arms, though. It is attractive, clean, and when you pull into the parking lot, you know you're in the right place! Old school? You bet - a large brass key for your room and not a plastic key card. There is a pool, whirlpool, a gazebo, and a grassy, park-like center of the J-shape property. The room is a bit smallish (that's the way motels were built back in the day) but comfortable. There is a comfortable bathroom (I had a walk-in shower in my room) and a television. There are no appliances. I had a comfortable bed, and the night stand has a unique alarm clock that features a dimmer (I HATE bright alarm clocks at night!) two power outlets, and two USB ports. There is WiFi, you'll be given a password at check-in. During Covid-19, there is no breakfast bar but there is fresh coffee that is pretty good. A vending machine and ice maker were steps from my room. The property is located on US10, not far from downtown and the dock of the SS Badger. I would gladly stay here again and I recommend it, especially if you are traveling in or out on the SS Badger. Hats off to David & Dawn Bourgette, your hosts.

The room was very clean and the decor was very new. This motel will definitely be our " stay at" hotel whenever we are in the area.

They stole money from me. I drove all night from the U.P before ending up in Ludington. I booked a middle of the night room off a third party site.

My wife and I were in town from Ohio for our anniversary and happened to stop in to check for vacancy's. I'm glad we did. First impression of the landscape and lobby/office was that the owner took great pride in their establishment and took the pandemic seriously. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms we've been in for a while, and we typically stay in higher end hotels. Not recently updated and painted clean, but clean like they care about it's cleanliness. The room was quiet and even had a gas fireplace; which was a nice touch. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in town. Thanks for the great experience!

Nicely kept place. Good central location for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Desk staff is super nice & there for whatever you need. The King Suite has a gas fireplace & hot tub that were welcome after our long motorcycle ride here. Though the paper in the room says the fireplace isnt a source of heat & only for ambience, it got EXTRA toasty in the room & we had to turn it off & turn the air on. Will be perfect for a chilly, fall or winter evening! I would highly reccomend staying here. I would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Lovely family owned place. Small, but clean rooms. Great Covid precautions, great pool and a great w at location.

Clean and comfortable room. Not a ton of amenities offered, but you know that going in. If you are looking for a nice place without a lot of extras, this is for you.

cost was 90.00 on a Sunday evening. Small room. No microwave. Rude people. I travel a lot and this is the pits for the high cost Especially since it's off season. I don't even want to know what they charge in the summer months. Will definitely not be back. That's probably why no one is here

Very clean and welcoming. Only problem was the sheets were too small for the bed and the bottom sheet came off both nights. Very nice pool!

This was a last-minute reservation booked because of a recommendation from someone on the ferry across Lake Michigan. Nothing fancy, but clean, good mattresses, and everything we needed. Price was very good, too--bonus!

We were able to find a room at the last minute when everywhere else was booked. So glad it was because our stay was wonderful! Exceptionally clean, friendly owner, and very accommodating. Would definitely go back.

Stayed in Luddington and loved this place. Kids loved the outdoor heated pool we loved the hot tub. They also have a nice gazebo to relax under. Rooms are nice, staff is friendly!

Great place...it starts when you pull in nice parking lot, lines all freshly painted with room numbers in them...then you go inside to check in and the gentleman inside who i assume is the owner had a great personality and told me where I can go and get a meal and cold beer (and he was correct), after chatting for a bit I got to my room and it is absolutely spotless...I travel a bit as does my wife and we have never seen a "makeup" towel, and I like that they have a hook in the shower for your swim suit (nice pool by the way also..I did not swim though)...these fine folks do something not many people do anymore....attention to detail!! I will stay there every time I go through there. Nicely done folks. Whats with the 2 star motel on travelocity....I stayed at a $250 hotel in memphis recently and it was NO BETTER.
