We stayed in the first floor room with the large balcony and would recommend the extra cost for this room. The balcony had the most amazing view of the lake and island. The breakfast terrace is just below with the same great view. We had one dinner as well. The food, wine and service were all excellent. If going in the summer, be aware that there was not air conditioning in the room. It was warm at night, but cooled off with the windows open by morning.

Walked up to Cafe Belvedere to try the local Bled cream cake and admire the views of beautiful Lake Bled and Bled Island. Did not disappoint the cake was delicious and definitely the best viewpoint of the lake. Some fascinating photos in the entrance of when this was part of Tito’s summer residence

Incredible view from bedroom window of Lake Bled. It is also completely worth the price just to have the private decking area by the lake with towels etc to sunbathe. We always got a sunbed and there were umbrellas for shade. Also great having access to the rowing boat for free to go to the island. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was lovely and so great to have it outside. Bled Cake was insane. Restaurant is very pricy but if it tasted anything like the bled cake I'm sure would be lovely. Also the food in the area is quite touristy and not as nice as most of the areas we were eating so maybe worth going a bit more upmarket

We came here in March. The gate was open, also there was a poster about this place. Everything pointed that it's open. But it was closed and abandoned. At least we visited a nice point of view on the bridge. Very romantic place

We would absolutely come back. It’s so nice to have the private swimming area.

The villa itself is very unique and full of history. The interior is marvelous, and so are the surroundings. You can walk in the park and go to the private beach to enjoy the views even more on the tanning chairs. However, the hotel can´t maintain the high-quality service expected for a villa. I stayed in the suite, and it got so warm during the day that it was impossible to stay in the room. I had to open the door to get some air. The breakfast was quite average. They offered champagne which was great but no pancakes or porridge for the kids. At breakfast, they offered a regular coffee, and you had to pay extra if you wanted a cappuccino. Even 2-star hotels have nowadays proper bean-to-cup coffee machines. But the villa itself is glamorous and straight at the lake.

We loved our stay in Vila Bled! I loved that they kept the authenticity of the rooms and it really felt like back in 1915s there. I really need to highlight the staff and especially our waiter at the dinner that was so very nice. Also food was absolutely delicious! Rooms were nice and clean and we had a delicious breakfast with a beautiful lake view

Location: sublime. Room: large and comfortable. Staff: friendly, warm and helpful. Views : extraordinary. Ease of parking: 10/10. Food served at dinner: Michelin star quality. Decked area on the shore with facilities: a gem, don’t tell anyone, you will waste happy hours here. Vibe: some people say it’s a little dated. It is. And I LOVED it! This hotel has a glorious secret, a large room with a fantastic Tito/Soviet Union era mural on its vast walls. My first ever holiday was as a nipper in 70s communist era Yugoslavia and this wonderful mural brought it all back. In summary: Vila Bled is perfect.
