Vila Bled

Vila Bled is a truly special place with a unique atmosphere. We often have guests staying there, and the feedback is consistently very positive. The reception staff are always extremely kind, professional, and helpful. It’s also a famous historical holiday residence, once used by Josip Broz Tito, which gives the place an added sense of history and character. Combined with its beautiful location by the lake, it’s a great choice for a peaceful and memorable stay in Bled.

Attending a wedding at Vila Bled was an experience I will never forget. From the moment I arrived, it felt like walking into a fairytale. The hotel is stunning, possibly one of the most picturesque places I have ever seen. Lake Bled and the surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop that makes every view feel like it belongs in a postcard. Visiting in late October added even more magic. The weather was perfect, cool but comfortable, and the trees were glowing with vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold. The grounds were quiet and peaceful, making it easy to take in the scenery and enjoy the atmosphere. There was a sense of calm and warmth that made the experience feel personal and inviting. The history of Vila Bled is equally impressive. It was once a destination for Central and Eastern Europe’s elite, including prominent political figures. The hotel has maintained that elegance while still feeling welcoming. Walking through the halls and gardens, it is easy to imagine the stories and events that have taken place here over the years. Whether attending an event or visiting on your own, Vila Bled combines breathtaking scenery, deep history, and a peaceful charm. It is a place that leaves a lasting impression and makes you appreciate both its beauty and its story.

Review of Cafe Belvedere||More of a tourist stop off for a few lake pics and a look at the building’s historic interior than a true cafe. As it was only a short walk through the hotel’s park from where we were staying, we’d actually hoped for a wider menu than just drinks, the local bled cake and ice cream.||Very limited tables outside and on the balcony but we were prepared to wait for a while to enjoy a coffee with a view.

This is one of those places which make the most of their history and location. It is a real treat to wake up and admire lake Bled and the mountains in the background! Especially on a sunny day! Breakfast was varied and the location of the morning restaurant is just as amazing! Dinner on the other hand was not as extravagant as they make you believe. I wouldn't repeat the experience.

Nice hotel but massively due an renovation, very very old fashioned, especially the bathroom. I'm 6ft and the shower head only came up to my chest, and water went all over the bathroom. Location, grounds, breakfast all great. we had a suite and had amazing views of Lake Bled. Staff also were very nice but I would think its expensive for how unmodern it is.

What a place to get married! The venue was fantastic and the staff was unbelievable. Mateja was a joy to organize our event with. She always made us immediately feel at ease and like she will take care of everything, which she did! The weekend of our wedding she truly took away so much anxiety because her and her staff were so organized, professional, and covered gaps that we hadn't thought about (like the bar menus). She made sure we had everything and that the event ran according to plan, including helping us execute some surprises for our guests! She was great with my parents, making them feel taking care of and special as well. Truly can't thank her enough for an excellent weekend. We did have a couple problems afterwards with invoicing that was a bit bumpy, but ultimately it was sorted out.

Amazing location and rooms reflect its former glory as a presidential Palace. Sadly service, especially in the bar left much to be desired. Couldn't even get a large beer. 😥 To add insult to injury, I had been awoken at 7.30 by the noise of deliveries.

We stayed in the first floor room with the large balcony and would recommend the extra cost for this room. The balcony had the most amazing view of the lake and island. The breakfast terrace is just below with the same great view. We had one dinner as well. The food, wine and service were all excellent. If going in the summer, be aware that there was not air conditioning in the room. It was warm at night, but cooled off with the windows open by morning.
