Vila d'este Búzios Hotel

Can't fault this hotel. From being greeted at the door to check out, everything was 10 out of 10. The breakfast buffet every morning was delicious and they always had something different as well as a made to order menu. We had the ocean view suite with the jacuzzi on the balcony which was out for this world. Every afternoon we would head back to our room to enjoy our hot tub looking over the bay and watch the sunset before we headed out for something to eat. They also have 2 pools, one heated, and loungers to chill in the sun. At your request the room can be cleaned every day and the staff will do everything in their power to help you. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel just gutted we couldn't stay longer. This hotel is great for couples as it's very chilled out and relaxing to help you both enjoy the surroundings and each others company. I will be going back to buzios in the future just to stay at this hotel again. Thank you for a truly memorable stay

Stayed here as recommended by our travel agent. The hotel is high end. Lovely choice and great service at breakfast. We chose not to eat here in the evening as there are plenty of other places in Buzios and overall it's comparatively pricey for food and drink. Decor is tastefully Middle East with Italian combo. Pools are for plunging not swimming. View looking down on the beach is fantastic especially if you're in balcony room, which we were not. Overall great location and appearance, we were slightly undewhelmed by some small details.

A lovely, upmarket hotel in a great location. The centre of Búzios, with many good restaurants en route, is a few minutes walk away. Also 4-5 beaches are within a 20 minute walk, with cheap water taxis available to take you further afield. Room 7 is in the rear garden and so does not have a sea view. Also the lack of separation between the bedroom and shower means that the room gets very steamy, which the AC struggles to cope with. And open windows wouldn’t be a great idea in mosquito season! Clearly you can pay more for rooms with a sea view, but I wonder if they have the same issues regarding the layout of the rooms? Nevertheless, this was a minor issue. The outside space at the front of the hotel is lovely, with two pools and great, high level sea views. The rear garden is also lovely. All of the staff are friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet and freshly cooked options were exceptional. An excellent experience overall.

Stayed for 5 nights and had upgraded our room ahead of our stay. |Accommodation at Vila d’este was a disappointing experience based on expectations: on arrival, there was one small welcome bottle of water in the room to share. We were told this was policy and more could be purchased from the mini-bar. No further water was provided when the room was cleaned each day. The coffee pods in the room were chargeable (and not genuine Nespresso as stated). The hotel directory offers a laundry service including itemised prices. In reality, guests are required to take their own items to a launderette 10 min walk and collect them later. You are also unable to purchase a glass of wine if in the public space by the pool. They only sell it by the bottle. The room was spacious enough but the wardrobe was small and there were no drawers or shelves to unpack clothes. |The staff are professional, but slightly aloof. The exception are the breakfast staff who are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good. |Anyone with mobility issues may struggle to navigate the numerous flights of (uneven) stairs to street level. There is a rear entrance on to a cobbled street. |The views from the hotel are fabulous.

We arrived at Villa Desta in Buzios to celebrate our honeymoon and simply enjoyed every moment! From check-in, to breakfast, to the service at the reception, staff, hotel facilities. There is a rich and varied breakfast, there are eggs and pancakes to choose from. The waiters were attentive to our requests. The hotel's location is on a mountainside and overlooks the entire coast of Buzios' beautiful boats. The pool was heated all day and open until 8:00 PM. Below the hotel there are lots of restaurants and also some shopping for those who are looking.. In summary, the hotel was perfect! We will be back!

Beautiful location with wonderful ocean view from the terrace. Excellent service. Good facilities. Our only disappointment: we took the only room left available advertised as 'garden view' but there was no garden just a very small walled patio with no view at all.

Lovely relaxed ending to our holiday. We were sad to leave Rio but on entering Vila d’este we realised what it was what we needed to fully relax before returning to work and real life. Hotel was in a great location and we loved being able to walk out in the town and along the beachfront
