Vila Kalango

I have been going to Jericoacoara almost every year for over 20 years and stayed multiple times in Vila Kalango. Simply said, it has been and remains the best place in the village. It was one of the first hotels to open in Jeri and it has managed to stay authentic throughout the years. The site is gorgeous, right on the beach with a spacious garden, a large swimming pool, a bar, and an excellent restaurant. The staff is super friendly and many of them speak English. Even when you don't stay there, you should go hang out for sunsets: these guys have the best views and often organize some events at that time. |I also love that they have a board school onsite to learn wing foil or windsurf, and are part of the same group as Rancho do Peixe (the #1 kite school in Brazil) located in Preá, the neighboring village where people go kitesurfing. Vila Kalango provides complimentary transfers to & from Rancho multiple times every day, that's super convenient when you are learning how to kite. || I just love this place and its people, and cannot wait to go back!!!

We spent 5 nights at Vila Kalango and the treatment we received was professional and friendly. We used the restaurant one night and had the best meal with live music. We stayed at the bungalows 1 and 2 and found out that from being so close to the street (pick up and drop off area), they were a bit noisy early mornings and evenings. The rooms were cleaned but on the dark side and AC worked great. |Breakfast was always a treat! Great coffee and delicious food always served with a smile. And let's not forget the cats always around making us company every morning.|The pool with the red tiles was not a big hit at first but then we got used to it and enjoyed very much, even on the last day with rain! Drinks were fresh and delicious at the bar, restaurant or pool side. |We made use of the friendly free shuttle to Rancho do Peixe in Prea and spent a day there going to the beach, pool and dining.|We chose this Vila for its uniqueness and we were very much impressed by the way they run the place and treat their guests.

From the moment I arrived at Vila Kalango, I knew this place was special. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are genuinely welcoming, always taking the time for a friendly chat, and the setting is stunning—perfectly in harmony with nature and built with sustainability in mind. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious!||I highly recommend Vila Kalango to anyone looking to unwind, connect with nature, surf, and experience the local culture. Excellent service and the food was great as well. Kids really enjoyed swimming at the pool and easy access to the beach.||Very short, walk to the village where there's lots of shops and restaurants as well. Good for nighttime, but also safe for the kids. ||Four-wheel-drive to the village and resort was fun too .

Vila Kalango is a wonderful place. A real piece of paradise. We loved our stay: the staff were warm, friendly and so helpful, the food was fantastic and the location ideal; right on the beach and near to restaurants, shops and bars. OWe will definitely return.

The Vila Kalango exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, clean, perfectly decorated in a Brazilian style, integrated in the surrounding nature. The staff were knowledgeable and super friendly, helping us organise last minute tours and making recommendations. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Wonderful place. They absolutely exceeded our expectations. Every detail about this hotel/villa is a subject to compliments. The ambiance and vibe is like no other. The room was cozy, all ecologically correct, perfectly themed with their decoration! And the service was outstanding. Make sure you catch a bite at the bar for sunset with live music. It will be memorable.
