Vilana Hotel

It's a nice and cozy boutique hotel in the quiet residential area of Barcelona. Within walking distance there is a restaurant street and about half an hour by foot there is a huge shopping centre called El Diagonal. There is no shuttle service to the airport but the receptionist can call a taxi and the cab arrives in minutes. It takes about 15 - 20 mins by taxi to the airport. Nice location close to the highway, you can avoid traffic jams. Morning breakfast is nice with standard continental menu. Cappuccino is included. I took off one star because the room I stayed in was quite warm out with a power outlet falling off and room carelessness was average. The linen though was absolutely fresh and crispy. It's good to stay in the hotel if you travel solo and want to do shopping.

Our room was very somber and nothing as nice as the photos in Booking.|It's October but still 24' in Barcelona and therefore quite hot in the room. Turned on the Aircon but only got heating, which according to Reception is normal in October. Sleeping with the windows open in a noisy city and on the 1st floor is not an option, so we had 2 sleepless nights.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was quite good, rooms are tidy, pillows are comfortable.

I don’t consider the hotel 4 stars, barely 3. The location is far from attraction sites. The room was clean but the bed is uncomfortable.

Not worth the price. Room was clean but suffering from an evident lack of maintenance. Very noisy air conditioning. Thermostat didn't work, etc.

Cleanliness: The double we had was spotless clean. I couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room or the bathroom. The rooms were spacious too. Location: The hotel was a little far from the main places, if your walking by foot but by car they were all near by. There is a parking space provided by the hotel, which you have to pay for an additional fee. Otherwise you can get free parking on the streets between 2000-0800 or on the weekends. During peak hours or on the weekdays, it’s difficult to get parking.Service: For some reason when we arrived for the check in, the hotel staff received confirmation for 1 person when I booked two. That issue quickly got resolved when I had to send them my confirmation email and voucher to prove I paid for two adults. The staff were lovely and attentive. Amenities: The hotel has a restaurant with it, a fitness area. The room had towels provided with it with hot running water. The rooms were sound proof. I couldn’t fault the room. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Downside: When you check in, we had to pay city tax at the hotel. It was my fault as I didn’t read the small print so I was a little unprepared for that. But I would prefer if I had the option to pay that online before hand which I didn’t. The city tax was £4.25 per person per night or in euros €4.50.

there is nothing to complain about this hotel, very clean room, nice staff, nice location in Saria. the only issue is there is a house next door with very annoying small dog mutt that barked all night long, every night, when the supposedly "man best companion " turns into a sleepless machine. but this is not the fault of the hotel, but the dog's owner who annoyed all the neighborhood with their mutt.

If you wanna be viscerally disgusted by the mold growing on the walls, share a room with colonies of ants, and sweat like a sinner in church then this is the place for you! The AC doesn't work a lick and there's somehow ants on the floor and nightstand on our first night here. I literally downloaded this app & made an account just for this post. That's how bad this place has irked me.
