If you've shopped on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, you know how expensive things can get. This place is no where near an exception to that rule. The prices for a single bathing suit is outrageous, but their quality and designs are some of the best you can find when your shopping for swimwear for your man.
If you know swimwear history, then you'll be aware that the founder of Vilebrequin was apparently eating at an Italian restuarant in Saint-Tropez and he designed the swim shorts based off the surfer's trunks and created a whole new style of swimwear far different from the popular swim briefs and he made them out of spinnaker canvas, the kind you use for sailing. In another version I heard he made them out of the checkered red and white table cloth from the Italian restaurant... Great, now i want some Italian food!
Anyway, though the prices are steep, they do make impressive gifts. I bought my brother one and every time he wears it, he tells me he still gets compliments on them. This is a company that is not afraid to use vibrant colors and prints. They do sell other items as well from men's boxers to polo shirts and towels, etc. The downside though is that since they are a European company, their return policy is very different. Only some US based companies give refunds; almost all European companies only allow exchanges. That last one is a deal breaker, so beware: This is not a place to be reckless with your money - if you spend more than you should have, once the receipt has been printed, there's no way to get your money back.
