VILLA 32

Best hot spring I have ever visited anywhere on the planet ... and I've been to a few. Why only 3 stars then? The hot spring provides razors and shaving gel so that you can shave after relaxing in the hot springs for a few hours. Nice. The razors, though, are so incredibly dull that I ended having to use 4 of them to shave. I ended up with razor burns and cuts. Not great. Either: Don't provide razors, or, provide razors that actually work. Both of those options are much better than providing razors that don't work.

An exceptional stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm and thoughtfully curated. The staff were professional, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. The room was quiet and beautifully maintained, and the private hot spring was the perfect place to unwind. The quality of the spring water was excellent, leaving the skin feeling wonderfully relaxed. Dining was another highlight — refined, well-balanced dishes that reflected great respect for ingredients and craftsmanship. A truly memorable retreat in Beitou, and one we would happily return to.

Property was well-maintained, and the staff were friendly yet professional. The hotel grounds were never crowded or busy, even at the public bath areas. We enjoyed both the public bath and the room very much. ||Appreciate the welcome snacks - we got fruits, daifukus & tea, plus a lovely small cake cos we were celebrating our anniversary - and that items in the mini bar were included in the room rate (cookies were yummy!). Wish they offered decaf coffee and tea too, though. ||We chose not to have dinner at the hotel. Do note advance reservations are needed if you choose to have lunch or dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Room service menu is limited and is only available from 12-4pm and 5.30-8.30pm. Our room rate came with breakfast, which we opted to have delivered to the room. It was such a generous and varied spread.||Shoutout to our butler, Sunny, for making us comfortable and also sharing her stories. ||Hotel is right next to Beitou Thermal Valley (地热谷). Just a short walk away via the stairs right outside the hotel. If not, you can even see it from the public bath area (they rotate the men's and women's bath areas, I was lucky the women's lounge area was right by it during my visit).||Only slightly annoying thing about our stay was the way the bathroom taps worked - they looked stylish but there were no hot and cold indicators. You push the tap lever all the way to the opposite end, let it run and wait for hot water to flow. Once it's hot, you adjust the lever to the temperature you want. At times, it was just half a nudge between too hot or too cold.||All in all, yes, Villa 32 is expensive but you get the exclusivity, dedicated service and the extras. If you can, make it a destination on your itinerary, not just a place for you to sleep, shower and go about your day.

Villa 32 was pure magic. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a hidden sanctuary—peaceful, elegant, and beautifully understated. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing.||Every detail was thoughtful—from the soothing atmosphere to the luxurious amenities. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We especially loved how calm everything felt, like time slowed down just for us.||It was exactly what we needed. A romantic, intimate, and unforgettable stay. Highly recommended for couples looking to reconnect and recharge.

What an incredible stay. Villa 32 catered to all of our needs seamlessly. The hotel itself has five apartment-like rooms. The amenities were spotless and the staff friendly, attentive and always ready to help. The spa itself consists of 6 different mineral pools, of different temperature, both indoor and outdoor, a steam room and a dry sauna. A stay at villa 32 allows for access to all of the pools, along with other spa services. The food was fresh with large variety; I made one off hand comment about how good the croissants were to the concierge, and that night I had 5 hot croissants waiting in my room. I'd also like to thank Moony, one of the concierge ladies, for being so helpful during out stay!

Villa 32 isn’t exactly a hidden gem—it’s well-known for a reason—but it still manages to feel calm and exclusive. When I visited the hot springs, there were only about 5–6 people around, so it never felt crowded. The public bath area was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The hot spring experience itself was amazing—deeply relaxing, and I felt so fresh and light afterwards. The interior of the villa is just as impressive: tasteful, serene, and full of charm. Booking was easy, and the staff were incredibly supportive and kind. It’s a peaceful escape that’s well worth it. 5 stars!

I only recently found out about Villa 32 and I can't recommend it enough. We were visiting relatives in Taiwan and one recommended visiting Beitou to relax in the hot springs - specifically Villa 32. My sister and I looked it up, but didn't think much of it since we already had lodging figured out. I didn't realize that you could book rooms for a few hours during the day, let alone that my boyfriend was attempting to plan a surprise proposal there. The hotel is very quiet and has a luxurious vibe to it. There are only five rooms, so it's very private. Some are more Japanese, and others have a European style. My boyfriend managed to snag the Azure room last minute with the help of his relatives and the room was immaculate. Staff decorated the room with heart shaped balloons, flower petals, and an "I love you" sign. It's stocked with Bulgari products, bottles of Evian water everywhere, fluffy robes, and not only a hot spring bath, but also a cold water bath! Some reviews said that English was limited, but I felt like staff communicated in English just fine. Fortunately, I also speak enough Mandarin to get by if necessary, but I felt like there wasn't much of a language barrier. In-room dining was a decent experience. I enjoyed the potato wedges and salad. Although the vegetarian pasta wasn't as amazing as I had hoped, it was still edible. The bonus was that staff delivered boba to us! I didn't even realize that was an option, but my boyfriend/cousins helped to arrange it for me. My only regret is not staying overnight, but I found out we were only able to snag a last-minute afternoon booking by sheer luck. I will definitely look into it next time!

We were recommended Villa 32 by a friend for an onsen day trip, and we were able to email them and book a 90-minute time slot on a Thursday afternoon, which cost about US$100 (the pricing is different for weekdays vs. weekends/holidays). To get there, we took the MRT from Ximending, which got us to Beitou in about 40 minutes. We chose to walk from Beitou (instead of taking the next metro to Xinbeitou) simply because we had ample time. The walk from either Beitou or Xinbeitou to Villa 32 is really pleasant, and we'd definitely recommend walking through Beitou Park which is really scenic and also has a really cool-looking library (though we didn't go in). As soon as we walked in the main door to Villa 32, we were blown away by how amazing the place looked from the outside. Walking inside, it was clear that this was a five-star establishment. We were met by a concierge who asked us our details and then asked us to wait on a sofa in the waiting area, while we were served hot tea. We paid first and we were then given the key to our room. The room was a miniature hotel room, with a large couch and steps up to the onsen, which was already filled with running onsen water when we got there. We spent a glorious 90 minutes, enjoying the onsen and then taking a shower, all in a beautiful glass-ceiling room. Afterwards, we looked up how much it actually costs to stay here (as a hotel) and--unsurprisingly--you need to pay a pretty penny: ~US$1,000 a night! So, we were glad that we could enjoy this high-end luxury for a brief moment and would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Beitou for an onsen day.

Literally. - Mama and I enjoyed every minute of this. We found it through Google and just went to see if there was vacancy for the public. - This was worth the money and time because I cannot say we didn't use the facilities to the maxxxxx. - We entered the doors and greeted immediately and offered tea/water. We waited for a few minutes and got menus on what we wanted to do. - We were escorted through this mini decorated walkway up to where the ladies area is since it's separated from the men. - We were provided lockers, robes, slippers, and given a mini tour of the facility on where we can go after the hot spa - Mom and I enjoyed the different hot springs they provided different temperature ones and ones with actual bath salts good for your skin. - Can I say this was incredibly magical for me? Hahaha, I wish we could do this all day! Although, it's not recommended to stay more than 2 hours inside because you can get dehydrated so stay hydrated with the water provided! - Towels everywhere so no worries, showers, then up to the lounge to get some snacks, then proceeded into the dark relaxation room. Napped for a good 30 minutes since we had to head back on the train. - The staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming even got us a taxi to take to the station. - 100% recommend this place for a visit in Beitou, Taiwan!

Villa 32 is a stunning hotel in Beitou. The service and cleanliness is immaculate. Additionally, they offer private hot springs (equipped with a hot spring, shower, toilet, sinks, and resting bench), which was a great experience.

This review is for the property itself (as a hotel), its hot spring facilities, and the restaurant. You can visit Villa 32's public hot springs for the day, but I highly recommend staying here. Centrally located in Beitou - just a short walk from the Xinbeitou MRT station, and about 30 minutes from downtown Taipei - Villa 32 offers an incredible, peaceful retreat from the bustle of urban Taipei. My husband and I only stayed at Villa 32 for a few nights during our honeymoon, but wish we stayed longer. A perfect spot for a couples getaway, the property exceeded our expectations in all aspects - from service, design, amenities, to food. Honestly, I'm a bit hesitant to write this review lest this property becomes too popular. Service: Service throughout our stay - in the restaurant, in the hot springs, and in the spa - was attentive but not overbearingly so. While dining for dinner, even though the restaurant was quite empty, the waitstaff did not hover, but was quick to acknowledge any summons. One important note - we found that the staff to have limited English abilities. My husband (who doesn't speak Mandarin) struggled to communicate with many staff members; I found it much easier to talk to them in Mandarin. The property: The entrance is a bit hidden - a discreet walkway next to the Royal Seasons with just '32' on the facade, opening up to a beautifully manicured space. With only 5 suites available, this property is serene and intimate - and at least during our stay, we felt like we had the place to ourselves almost. We stayed in the Jade Suite - one of the 'western' style rooms. The room was modern, clean and well-designed with thoughtful touches such as 3 separate thermostat controls for each part of the room, built-in speakers to listen to music, and flameless candles in the bathroom that were lit each night. Amenities: While we took advantage of our private hot springs bath - especially since it was a chance for my husband and I to soak together - we also took advantage of the public hot springs. While they may be public, the hot springs felt exclusive. Men and women have separate facilities - since the hot springs do not allow for clothes, but both areas have 8 different pools of varying temperatures that were incredibly well-maintained. Since we stayed during the week, the pools were often empty when we visited. Food: Food during our stay was excellent. We loved the in-room breakfast options and we dined at the property's restaurant twice. Food was excellent but a bit pricey - it's definitely a fine dining. Offering Italian fusion cuisine (fused with some Taiwanese influences), flavors are delicious and the chef introduces some local flavor and ingredients into the dishes. The restaurant is definitely fine dining and offers unique complimentary amuse bouches and dessert bites. All in all, we loved our stay in Villa 32 and can't wait to return again soon.

Exquisite is the first thing that came to my mind when I walked into this hidden gem. What I can't believe is that the entrance is small and quaint but once you walk through the gates, wow.... water, swimming pool and grandeur of a scene. My brother and boyfriend decided to do a sulfur spa here after wandering around beitou for awhile pondering what's a good way to do spa. The question is... do we want to do a inexpensive hot spring but public and filled with older people that we dont know or a private spa filled with the sounds of birds and running waterfalls? We decided to do the lather but what it cost us is the price. Public hot spring cost about 40 NT for entrance and everything - no time limit and others. But Villa 32 is another thing. It cost about 80 USD for a private room with mac capacity of 2 pax per room and for only 2 hrs We loved it.... and it's so relaxing and it's the best 80 bux spent and we wont hesistate to do it again if we are ever gonna be in Taipei. Yup. Just do it.

Expensive but worth the splurge for the service, the facilities, and quality of the place. When we return fro Taipei in the future, will definitely do this lunch then private hot springs room here again.

As a fine dining fan , this is the best ever dining experience in Taipei ! This place can give me magical dining experience not only because of the high quality of service , but also the presentation of each dish and the taste ! I actually do not expect to have such quality meal in s hot spring villa , but my stomach totally get conquered by the delicate taste of the food ! Imagine there is a secret dining spot hidden in a fancy garden with vividly hot spring sound and good smell flowers . Villa 32 actually presents you this one of a kind dining experience in Taipei . I highly recommend people who want to propose , spoil their beloved ones or have expensive dinner with family to come here and dine ! I believe this experience will be a treasure in your fine dining memory ;)

The Jade room is spectacular with the private hot spring baths in the loft. The staff and service is the best I've ever experienced. Everyone is quick to serve your needs. If you're in Taiwan and want to splurge definitely indulge yourself at Villa 32.

Can't begin to describe how heavenly this place is. I came here at the invitation of a former client, who while working in Singapore, actually lives in Taipei most of the time with his family. ...I can see why. Villa 32 is owned by a family but they allow guests to book appts to keep the staff readily available (and employed). The hospitality is second to none and the facilities are some of the best I've ever seen. As other reviewers have remarked, prepared to get full on naked. 4-hours is the ideal amount of time to spend in these hotsprings but be sure to stay hydrated and make frequent trips between the ice cold and steaming hot pools to really enjoy the experience. Also, don't forget the sulfur pool (albeit sparingly. I think the staff will say 10-15 minutes but you can stay for 20-30 minutes max). The lunch is just okay. But no worries, as you're not coming here for the gustatory experience.

I love the privacy, the service, and the environment of this place. When I think of hot springs, it's all about relaxation, but sometimes it gets over crowded, plus I don't want to share with more than 5 strangers in a tub. Villa 32 is exclusive that way, yes, it's a little bit pricer, but it's worth every penny. I live close by, maybe a less than 30 min drive, so I don't need to stay over, which is quite expensive. Instead, I go for a 1500NT one time trip where I can use the facilities as if I was going to spend the time for a total of 4 hours, which is more than enough because, how long can you actually dip in a hot tub? I love being secluded, and at 32 villa, I can think about a lot of things without getting interrupted. Sometimes, at public baths, when you accidentally make eye contact, the person ends up striking a conversation with you which you cannot get out of, but at villa 32, there's people control and I don't need to worry about that. The showering place is incredibly clean and I feel like I'm at a hotel. Sometimes I would book a light lunch at their restaurant, but other times, I just prefer to spend my 4 hours bathing.

I did not stay at this hotel but rather visited their restaurant in the basement. However, from the second I got off my car to walking through their lobby and down to the basement, I can already tell this hotel is superbly managed. The restaurant has a casual yet elegant feel to it, and the atmosphere feels intimate without being too suffocating. The cuisine today seems to focus on black Iberian pork dishes. Our appetizer featured Iberian ham and there are two dishes in the main course that featured Iberian pork. I especially like the mini presentations that the waiters give after they set down the dish in front of you. They would highlight what the dish features, how it is prepared, and how best to experience the dish's flavours. The presentation for the apps and desserts are also quite interesting. I love how they recycle old wooden branches and put mini dishes on it; it's as if the food itself has flowered out of the branch! If you haven't tried their restaurant, go do yourself a favour and go try it already! For what you're paying, I definitely think it's well worth it's price!
